Talk to me about the area? What do kids like doing there? After showing him some videos, my son wants to try the River Adventure and raptor encounter but is also a little apprehensive. What else is there to do there? :) are there other ‘dinosaurs’ he can meet besides a raptor?

Thanks!! :D

Idk about that specific area but when I drive to disney, there’s an actual dinosaur place with Huge dinosaurs everywhere and I think it’s on I-4.
Not sure if the name but might be worth looking into for a huge Dino fan. Looks cool from the drive by.

If he is a big dinosaur fan, he will love this area:

Camp Jurassic - https://orlandoinformer.com/universal/camp-jurassic/
Pteranodon Flyers - https://orlandoinformer.com/universal/pteranodon-flyers/
Jurassic Park River Adventure -https://orlandoinformer.com/universal/jurassic-park-river-adventure/
Jurassic Park Discovery Center - https://orlandoinformer.com/universal/jurassic-park-discovery-center/

My daughter loved it all and was SO disappointed when she was too tall for Pteranodon Flyers. She still (at 14) likes to check out the Discovery Center and ride river adventure.

The Jurassic area is visually stunning, you'll feel like you are right in prehistoric times. There are also some photo ops along the way. Kong is also sort of in the area and worth doing.

Disney springs t-rex cafe is amazing..... and all the stuff they said.
My 5 year old did fine on the rides, the only thing he would have no part in was meeting blue... we waited in line he saw it snap at the kid in front of us and he was done he watched as we met her

Yes! We have TRex in our plans too! Thanks! Never been but looking forward to it.
Haha I let my son watch it and he said he wanted to do it but I feel when we reach there he would back out. He found the videos of meeting triceratops in Japan too and said we have to go there

From what I've heard there are a lot of construction walls in the Jurassic Park area right now while they build the new coaster; however, it's my understanding all attractions there are still operating. The Raptor Encounter is definitely a fun photo op, but you will probably want to check videos to see if you kid will be scared or not (you've probably seen it on commercials and internet memes).
