If the OP does not care for the jungle cruise...i guess he just didn't get the point in the end....

Sorry...couldn't resist.

Another favorite joke from our last visit"...and this demonstrates one of the most important laws of the jungle...Don't be a Zebra!"

I miss Steve also, he was great with all his good information. With a non functional search here, no way can I find anything from him in the past. :badpc: Hey Steve, if you are lurking, please drop by and say hello.

Thank you ladies and gentlemen, you have been my best crew...since my last voyage of Disney's Jungle Cruise.

Please exit to my left onto the dock. If you exit to my right you will get wet.

Please remember to take all small children by the hand as you leave the boat. Any left behind will be take to It's a Small World where their feet will be bolted to the floor and they'll be taught to sing "It's a Small World" in 29 languages.

All items left on board will be taken to Disney's lost and found. Unclaimed items will be returned to me and you may get them back by bidding on them next week on e-bay. Yes, I am a college student in need of money.

That's what he said! I'll have to remember that now! :teeth:

Another fan of Jungle Cruise!! It's an attraction that appeals to the entire family. I agree with a previous post, it's even better at night.

I have another reason for loving this ride, it's where my family received our
YOAMD ears! It was very cool to see an entire boat-full of people wearing their silver ears. :goodvibes

At 11:50 on the night we went to MVMCP, we passed by the Jungle Cruise and a CM told us it was open and encouraged us to ride. The young lady running the boat was hilarious and very energetic for that time of night. I'm not sure why it was open as it wasn't listed on the map, but I'm glad they "recruited us" because it was a lot of fun.

Horribly dated and cheesy. The last few times, the jokes were so horrible that it was awkward.

I think thats the point of the jokes. They are supposed to be horrible and cheesy--thats why I love it!

Does anyone else get frustrated with fellow guests when no one else is laughing or even cracking a smile at all the jokes?
I'm laughing like crazy and everyone else is stone faced like they are on a real cruise and don't want to miss the fake animals.
Either they aren't paying attention, don't get the humor, have heard it all before or... I don't know. :confused3

Ahhh... Jungle Cruise. =) It was very disappointing last time we went on it... The CM sounded bored (and not in a funny way). I think she got a few courtesy laughs at appropriate times, and we all cheered loudly at the end anyway. The best part was when we were arriving at the dock, and the people in the boat behind us all collectively yelled/gasped. I and a handful of others on our boat looked back, the CM in that boat grinned and cackled "Made ya look!", and the people in that boat had a good laugh. Usually I'd be displeased at being on the wrong end of a joke, but, well, somehow that amused me. xD

A little update could do it good, methinks. Touch up some things, maybe change around the scenes a bit. But NO scrapping it! Nonono.

Jungle cruise was on my top to do list. I know some think its corny and cheesy but to me it was my fav ride when I was little so I wanted to take my boy on it. Finally got the chance I needed, extra magic hrs we got on right away no wait. I was listening to the guy make jokes and my son was loving it he thought it was all real. Then the Real adventure began we got stuck in the tunnel part for what seemed like close to a half hr because the boat in front of us went of the rail. My sister was shocked that a disney attraction actually broke down and I was shocked at how many on that boat where all mad at disney like breakdowns never happen . Me and my son just joked around and my sister said if any thing my son will now deffinatly remeber the jungle cruise ride. As for getting rid of it ,the classics are what I think gives disney its magic so what if its fake to a 6 yr old those hippos look real. We as adults go back with our children to take them on the rides we went on and say mom went when I was your age on this very ride, theres something special about that. If there all gone because some feel there outdated then there will be no reminising it will be just another theme park.

Jungle cruise is great I don't see it leaving anytime soon!

I went on Jungle Cruise at MVMCP on Thursday. It had no wait so I said what the heck. I think the ride is so much better at night. Our guide was good but she was talking so fast no one could even keep up with the jokes.

UGH! UGH! UGH! I was at MVMCP this past Thursday as well and it was my only time at the MK during my much too short trip (aren't they all). I was disappointed to see it wasn't listed on the MVMCP map and now am :furious: to find out it was open after all.

(The opposite of what happened at Epcot last night. The central message board was showing "No Wait" for Cranium Command and The Wonders of Me and "10 min" wait for Body Wars. Hustled over there around 9:00 p.m. only to find the whole Wonders of Life pavilion had closed at 7:00 p.m.)
