Jungle Cruise Refurbishment

Hi!
I was just checking the Disneyland calendar for November and noticed that the Jungle Cruise is listed to be down from November 3-13. No other site I've check is showing this refurb at all. Is this a possible holiday change or would anyone know what is would be?

I thought I read somewhere that Jingle Cruise is coming back this season. If so, I would expect those closure dates to be when the holiday touches are added and any other quick cleaning or sprucing gets done.

Based on what they did last year I would think they should be able to install the whole overlay in between loading passengers on the boats! :coffee:

Lol. That was my thought about that overlay too. That's why I'm thinking that if that refurbishment window turns out to be true, they might be taking the time for a little bit of clean-up and minor repair as well. I suppose they could be plussing up the holiday overlay a bit, but that to me seems like a less likely scenario in the current climate.

If I remember right, last years "Jingle Cruise" was a test to see how well it went over. And that this year, they were going to a bigger/better "Jingle Cruise."

Jingle Cruise is coming back this year -- it was confirmed by Erin Glover of the Disney Parks Blog last month. It appears to be opening on 11/14, which is also when the Holiday tour begins -- so I am guessing that is no accident. JC was part of the tour last year and probably will be again.

Last year's Jingle Cruise decorations were put up without ever having to close the ride -- that's how subtle and minimal they were (though there were more decorations in December than there were in November). They were added in a little at a time. If this year's overlay -- if it can even be called that -- is like last year's, they wouldn't even need to close the ride to install it, let alone close it for many days. They really could just put up the decorations in between loading passengers, as ParkHopper1 said.:rotfl:

It could be that there is a massive, extensive, thorough overlay coming up, along the lines of IASWH and HMH (although no rumors have trickled out about such an overlay, so it seems doubtful)... or it could just be that actual work/refurbs/maintenance needs to be done on the ride, and be completed before the Holiday tour begins -- and while it's down the holiday touches will be put up as well.
