Jungle Cruise Overhaul

According to the Rock's most recent instagram post (30 min ago) they are planning on re engineering and overhauling the entire jungle cruise attraction in all Disney theme parks. Assuming this will be in coordination with the film's release time. Thoughts on messing around with one of Walt's classic attractions?

Long as it's tasteful then I'm fine with it as all things need to keep fresh and be updated at some point

I always thought this was one of the untouchables.. I'd be good with a river expansion and maybe updated animal AA movements but it would be a shame to see this one change radically.

I'm surprised they announced it so soon, with zero indication of how the movie is actually going to perform or even a release date. They don't even begin filming it until next spring.

Though I'm curious to see how this fits in to the refurbishments that Disney has planned for the 50th, particularly with the rumored slot next spring being a MK attraction.

Agreed, although I think this movie will do well with the Rock.

as long as it has the same feel and they keep the idea of the Skippers telling puns, and stuff I think this is fine. I'd be down with new and improved animatronics, etc. ... maybe increasing the role Trader Sam has, etc.

Also, the Jungle Cruise in Hong Kong has this crazy ending with fire and smoke and stuff, so it isn't like "plusing" the ride is totally new

I'm definitely excited for it. Imo jungle cruise is pretty boring and could use a big overhaul and updating. With the movie being made and changes coming, maybe it'll make the ride better

I love the ride but think it could do with some updating.
I've ridden it so many times, I'm telling the jokes along with the skipper.

It's going to do very well. Wouldn't be surprised if they make more than one movie.

It needs it. I was on last weekend and it was the most boring ride of the day.

Looking forward to it. It's one of the rides we tend to skip for several years. I liked it when I was a kid, but my kids don't care for it much. They complain about the pace and corny jokes, but they LOVE The Great Movie Ride.

Just think if they had updated the Haunted Mansion for that abysmal movie. I don't mind the movie coming out. In fact, it might be pretty cool. However, I barely like Capt Jack Sparrow in Pirates, so this might make me cry.
