Jungle Book Dining package question

Quick question. I currently have Tusker House /Jungle Book dining package reservations (with the dining package). After reading the reviews and watching the videos, I don't think we will be watching Jungle Book, but we still want to do dinner at Tusker House. Should I try to change my reservation to one without the Jungle Book, or just leave it and not go to the show? From what I understand, it is just 1 dining credit either way. I haven't done a dining package before. thanks!

Keep it. I believe dining packages for showd includes an appetizer. Someone correct me if I have it wrong.

I would try to change it to give someone else the ability to get the package. But Disney doesn't make changing a reservation easy. If it can't be done then just leave it. We were going to Tiffin with the package and we cancelled. We are still deciding if we will eat there - we really love Sanaa.

I looked for other times at Tusker House without the dining package and the times weren't great, either really early or really late. I will keep checking but for right now I will leave it.

Tusker House is a buffet, so no appetizer with a dining package. But for non-buffet table service dining packages, you are correct.

If you still want to eat at Tusker House and not see the show, I would change it if possible. I'm fairly certain you pay more for the dining package because of the seats. so, save the money if you can. It's a buffet so you aren't losing anything by changing it.

Since you are using the DDP, there will be no difference in the cost of the meal other than if you tip on the higher price.

There is no appetizer at TH since is a buffet so that does not factor.

Try for a regular reservation but don't give up your package unless you manage to secure one. If you can't get, keep it, who knows you might change your mind about the show.

I was wondering if they were actual tickets or something that would be applied to my magic band. If they are paper tickets that I can pass on, that would be great!

Pixi Dust!!!! I could not get the dining package. They were all booked. But I was able to get a fast pass. And if it is anytjing like the Fanrasmic Dining Package the seats are much better than the fastpass seats!!

Yes, they are paper tickets! They give them to you when you get your check.

I keep seeing posts on other sights, etc. indicating that the DDP is not accepted for the TH Jungle Book Alive dining package. Can anyone confirm that DDP IS accepted. I asked when I made the ressie but I don't bank on the correctness of that statement, particularly since this is a new thing. Many thanks!

I just called because we have DDP and reservations for Tusker with the dinner package next week and it is definitely covered under DDP as 1 TS credit.

At buffets, you can get appys, entrees, desserts, as much as you wish.

Looks like with the Jungle Book package it is $49/adults and $30/kids for lunch and dinner.

Without the package, it likely depends on whether it is on holiday or peak pricing, but ranges between $37-43/adults and $22-26/kids.
