We have just booked our 2nd trip to Disney. We are arriving May 28th 2005, staying at the All Stars Movies. We will be in Disney for 2 weeks, before heading to the Gulf coast for a rest!!

What sort of temperatures can we expect, and will it be so hot and sticky that it will be uncomfortable? Also what are the crowds like? Will the school have broken up over there by then? The last trip we made we did a park a day for 9 days and to be frank we were knackered - would prefer not to be quite so this time round!! We missed so much.

Also any tips for us Brits, how do you stop waking up at 4am? That doesn't help, because by lunch time all you want to do is sleep again! Any tips gratefully recieved.

Short Answer: "Hot & Alot".

My experience is that you can expect it to be hot and humid as a general rule, not as bad as August but still up there. Also, most midwestern schools are out the third/fourth week in May. And many schools take senior trips to WDW toward the end of the year (early June). Also, US Memorial Day holiday hits on the last Monday of May so folks leverage that to save a vacation day.

Can't help you with 4:00 am. Althought if you go to Capt Jack's at DTD and have a couple of 151 Rum Runners, it might help - I usually sleep like a baby!!

Have a great time - we've gone at all times during the year. Use fastpass wheneven possible, spend pool time, and just relax -crowds are a state of mind!

By the way, I'm not sure I've ever been "knackered" - doesn't sound like fun!

We are just back from a stay starting May 30 through June 4 and it was definitely hot!!! Also, it seemed like come June 1 the rainy season officially started. Although we escaped any major storms through the 4th (don't believe it was the case though for those who stayed beyond that), it still threatened in the afternoon and evenings. It made it difficult to plan fireworks at the parks, as well as our afternoons and evenings in general. They always say the storms are brief, but they seem to threaten from about 4pm through midnight or so, which is kind of a long spread of time. For us, the sky got pretty dark alot, but we did manage to escape any real heavy rain.

The good news for you is that you will be there for a LONG time, so you are bound to have some rain-free days. Mornings are really nice. It starts to really warm up in the mid afternoon.

It is also definitely hot. We found that around 3pm or so, it was tough-going to walk around the parks for any great length of time because it was pretty hot (and we are no wimps).

As far as the crowds go, around the Memorial Day weekend itself, it is pretty packed, but the crowds cleared up nicely pretty much the Tuesday and Wednesday and beyond that. I imagine as you get a little further into June the crowds will pick up as kids are out of school.

Good luck and enjoy your trip!!!
