Hi everybody. First a thank you to everyone on here. I think I have my plans pretty much set. I would love it if you would look over my itinerary and see if this looks okay. I feel that it is a little "commando", but I figure if we are tired, we can just take a break, either at a park or back to the resort for a dip in the pool. It is just me (mom) and my 11DS. We have the regular dining plan and no rent car, so all Disney transportation. We are staying at Port Orleans French Quarter (first time at a Disney resort!!).

6/8 Flight scheduled to arrive 10:35am. ME to POFQ. QS lunch at resort and then to DHS. FP+ for Rock n Rollercoaster 1:50, Tower of Terror 2:50, Star Tours 4:00. Hoping to repeat these, as they are DS favorites. SW fireworks at night. Snacks at HS for dinner.

6/9 PPO for BOG at 8:10am (9:00am park open). FP+ Splash 11:15, Space 1:05, 7DMT 3:00, Crystal Palace TS 5:10, hoping to grab 4th FP for something else in the evening, Wishes that night

6/10 AK day, Breakfast at resort, Safari at RD, FP+ Dinosaur 10:40, Kali 3:40, Kili Nightime Safari 9:05, Wild Africa Trek reserved for 12:30 (includes lunch), Tusker House ADR 6:05

6/11 Epcot, Breakfast at resort, Test Track at RD, FP+ Mission Space 10:00, Character meet 11:00, Test Track 4:35, ADR Teppan Edo 12:00, 'Ohana 9:35 (We will miss Illuminations)

6/12 PPO ADR CRT 8:10 (will pay OOP for this), FP+ Space 10:45, 7DMT 11:50, Splash 12:50. Flight home departs 7:35pm. Will check bags at resort before going to park for the day

I know we are leaving out some big rides (Toy Story Mania, Soarin') but my DS isn't a big fan of those. We are also repeating some at MK with FP, but those are his favorites. TIA for any advice. Very excited!!

I hope you get in a few of your favorites too, whatever they may be.
Not only to add to your enjoyment, but it also is a good lesson for the kids to learn that it is also the parent's vacation and that some of the rides and shows and meals may be more geared to other family member's tastes.

I do think your FPs are good choices that will save you time in lines as well as being good rides. Very well thought out.

Thanks for the input. He is having to tolerate meals with Winnie the Pooh and princesses. :)

The only thing I see that I always think of when making FP's in the summer is there are usually storms around 3:00 or 4:00. Some rides may shut down during the storms. But I think Disney will automatically reschedule your FP for later that day.

Just be aware that on 6/9 your pre-park opening ADR might (and likely will) become a post-park opening. And you might not get a lot of notice.

That would be a bummer. Fingers crossed and we will make the best of it no matter how it turns out. Thank you for the heads up.

I am in WDW the exact dates and my first day of FP's at HS are identical to yours, great minds must think alike lol!

Have you ever done the Wild Africa Trek before? my 8yo DD wants to do it and its something we are looking into but cant find a lot of feedback on it.

Have a great time!

We haven't done the trek before, but the things I have read sound amazing! It will probably be hot at the time we are doing it, but the discount was worth it. It was just under $300 for both of us, so I went for it. I haven't told my son about it yet, so I can't wait to see his face when we sign in. I found some great reviews on TripAdvisor and also watched some youtube videos.

Looks really awesome! I love POFQ and hope you do too. Your Zfp and dining choices look great to me.

Your schedule has plenty of time, but just in case: do remember that returning to the airport on DME is a scheduled bus, not a "grab it when you're ready" affair. You'll be assigned a time approx 3 hours prior to your departing flight, the bus will pick you up at your resort and they ask you to be ready 15 min early. Assuming you are checking your checked bags with the airline checkin service, but that you'll still have carry-ons - you can leave your carry on pieces with bell services at the resort, but leave a bit of time to retrieve those as well prior to your scheduled DME. I get a little fidgety if I think I'd be late at all, so in your shoes, I won't do much (if anything) in the park after that last Splash FP and head out.
