We leave TOMORROW!!!! But we will not be in DL until Monday. We have a 5 day pass but will be in So. Cal for 7 days. I am so excited!!!! So are my kids... gotta get packing!

In a week we will start the drive about 10pm. We'll be in anaheim Sunday, 1-2 pm, go to Shakey's on Harbor there, then check into hotel. Monday we'll be in the parks.

In 48 hours I will be waiting for Fantasmic! to start Maaan, it's been a long 6 years since I've been! I can't wait for all the new stuff, especially World of Color and Toy Story Midway Mania (I hear it's really fun).

Edit: I mean, in 48 hours, Fantasmic! will have just started.

Time to start getting luggage down. We have a baseball game tomorrow which will help the day go by fast. The rest of the week is rather quiet when Id rather have it go by fast.

I called Disney dining and they confirmed all reservations including WoC. We are ready!

Woo hoo! We are officially part of the single digit countdown now! I can't wait for this vacation b/c my dh has been working about 80 hours a week! He needs some time offf!

As of tomorrow 7 days for us! I'll start packing a bit tomorrow and getting the house more in order. I did a commando cleaning job on it last of week. I hate coming home to a messy house so I always clean like crazy before a trip.

I'm also obsessed with my pets comfort and safety while we're gone, so I'll get them lots of treats and go over their care with my neighbor and my parents who are watching them. I HATE leaving my pets, but I LOVE vacations.

We have 4 days!! Time to get the house cleaned and start packing! I think I have bought everything that we need so now I just need to get everything together and double check my lists.

I'm off within single digits with my kids, 2 under 10. The wife has to work, but who says Dads can't go solo.

it'll be very interesting to see the differences.

• My wife packs tons of stuff. Me, not so much. One set of clothes per day, perhaps 1-2 extra sets. That's it.
• For the plane ride, I'm not packing tons of toys/junk - they can have white sheets of paper and blue pens b/c different colors = fighting over colors. We flew to Hawaii on seperate flights a few years back due to frequent flyer mileage availability, and I did this then with amazing results. They were both between 3 & 7, and were little angels. Once I sat down, i handed them the paper & pens, and said "here you go. you have 4 hours ahead of you. I'm going to do the crossword. Don't bother each other, don't bother other passengers, & don't bother me." Would you believe they were quiet for 2 hours before I broke out the DVD player as a reward!
• I'm bringing my laptop, so i'll put a few TV shows on there for wind-down time after the park. If we're in bed by 10pm, I'll be amazed.
