I was thinking about a trip next July '13 but does it really matter if its June or July both hot both crowded? Any preferences?

I would choose early June over later June or July.

We went the last week of July in 2010...it was so HUMID and hot. I will never go then again. It was just too much for us. We are going next week and it should be better. :thumbsup2 We live in FL, so I know what to expect. I don't know what I was thinking going in late July, but DD wanted to go for her 16th birthday. The things we do for our kids :)

in the month of June is better. Many East coast schools don't get out until early to mid June. (My high school graduation was June 18th, but that was quite awhile ago.)

Both months will be hot. You may have a slight chance of somewhat cooler weather in early June but I wouldn't count on it. The park hours are long so there is plenty of time to cool off in the afternoon and still see a lot of things.

First week of June is great! Crowds are very managable, as most schools are not out yet. We usually leave the day our kids get out of school- around May 26th and dont have any problems. This year it rained all week, but it cooled things off and cleared the parks out. (Got to love ponchos !!)

Heat wise, I didn't feel any difference. If you enjoy Star Wars, then go early June for Star Wars weekends. If you are staying deluxe, going late July will save you money because it turns to value season - deluxe only. That's the only things I can think of that would make a huge difference.

I have been in both months several times. June, for some reason we always get record breaking temperatures. And I love July too :) Both seem the same.

Our honeymoon was the second week of June {several years ago} and we had an excellent experience. It wasn't miserably hot and many schools on the Eastern seaboard aren't out of school until later in June. You may also have a chance to catch Star Wars weekend if you time your trip just right.

If you go in July, Satan himself might be a character...it's SO hot!:rotfl:

I think we are going to try to be there July 17-July 24, we always go around that time and yes it is hot but we manage it!

We just went June 8 - 16 because I have heard that the crowds get worse as the summer progresses. It was crowded! I could not believe how busy it was. We have been there at that time before and it was not so bad. Lots of school/tour groups. Most of the bigger attractions had wait lines of 1 - 2 hours! As long as you are prepared for crowds and heat either should be fine. Just stay away from the 4th of July.
