I know the crowds will be big, but summer time is the only time we can go next year. On average how long will you que for rides, water slides etc?

Thanks

We were there June 9th to June 21st this year. All I can say is get the Unofficial guide and follow it for which days to visit each park. It is Soooo right on. We didn't watch it as close at first and we of course ran into some crowds being in the more crowded parks the wrong days. We then pulled it out and started using the guide and wala! no more crowds to deal with. It was a lot less crowded. We didn't wait more than 15 minutes for any ride, most were just go right on, except the BIG ones, which should be done first thing in the morning or with a fast pass. Fast passes were available for another ride 1 - 2 hours after the other was issued, so it wasn't bad getting them for other rides. Keep your eyes open for CMs before parades too, they have been known to go around giving out fast passes for rides with no times on them. I guess they figure if you take time to wait to see a parade, you should get some extras to make up for it.

Please don't let horror stories of long lines and huge crowds in the summer scare you. We go for 11 days end of June first of July every time and have an absolute blast. Must haves are: make at least one meal reservation per day so that you know where and when you'll be eating. This also helps you with your park choice. Do MK and MGM on the weekdays and EPCOT and AK during the weekend. Get a fastpass for the most popular attraction IMMEDIATELY upon entering the park, then check to see when you can get another FP according to the first FP and use it! Work from the back of the park, left side first. Avoid front of the park right side as that is the natural flow people do (we did the KTTK tour this year and that's what we were informed). See the parades once, then use that time to do attractions while others are doing the parades! Take advantage of the later park hours. We go to the parks about noon each day, but stay to close them down each night. There's no problem the last hour of each day getting on as much as you want. Take rain ponchos. It will downpour each day and for those prepared, you can quickly resume your fun rather than huddling in a store doing nothing for an hour. We had a great time and only waited 45 minutes for the safari in AK because we chose to while waiting for a FP. :woohoo:

If it's the only time you can go, go and enjoy yourself, don't worry about the crowds.

We always go duing July, matter of fact we just got back from a week with the mouse it was great. A few tips take advantage of the early morning hours if you are planning on staying on site , use fast pass and make ADR ressies most of all enjoy and have lots of fun!

Thanks so much! We're in the same "boat" and can only go next July. I am wondering the same thing! I am hoping that it won't be too bad!! Thanks for the tips and encouragement! :sunny:

We made the mistake of going during the week of July 4th one year. It will most likely never happen again. I think the whole world was there at one time. It was awful. We didn't let it ruin our trip though. Whatever people does is their own business, but having to look at it shouldn't be forced on people with kids. Disney should've known better than to let this happen.

we were there june 18 - 25 and had a blast! Definitely use fastpass and get there when the parks open. We rarely waited longer than 15 minutes in line, and with fastpass it was more like 5. Do your research and get to the more popular rides first, when the parks open. It WAS HOT!!! The spray/fan bottles saved us! The crowds weren't that bad. The only place that I really felt crowded was at AK. MK, Epcot and MGM were great - take advantage of the emh - we had MGM basically to ourselves for almost an hour - we rode 4- 5 rides in that hour before the park officially opened.

Accept the heat and know there will be lots of people and you'll have a great time!
