So we wanted to try something a bit different this time at WDW, we are staying at All the DVC resorts we have not tried yet. Here's our schedule:

Day 1: Bay Lake Towers

Day 2: Grand Floridian Villas

Day 3-8: Wilderness Lodge

Day 9-11: Vero Beach (stayed here before)

We have family on my wife's side, including a 9 year old that has never been to Disney staying with us while we are at the Wilderness Lodge and family from my side staying with us at Vero. Really looking forward to this trip!

Has anyone done something similar?

We are driving down as usual and trying to decide on a vehicle to take. My wife wants to bring her High MPG Subaru (always level headed) but I want to bring my 4Dr Jeep Wrangler and drop the top and doors (always fun), I think will let my son pick...

Re car choice, it is HOT in jersey and all the way down south in June/July, so go with a nice care with good AC. Enjoy your trip.

Thanks NJMermaid, the Jeep has air conditioning! Had a long conversation with my wife and she agreed to take the Jeep. It is larger (I have the 4dr) and while gas will be worse in it, it will be a blast.

Plus, I am really looking forward to finding some buried treasure on Vero Beach so it should cover the extra gas money...

Wow you all are brave. that's too much moving for me. Too hot for me need air condition especially in Florida. Have fun and enjoy your trip.:)

That is so crazy that my husband and I also have a 4dr Jeep Wrangler and a Subaru! It was a big debate as well and my husband won, we are taking the Jeep. With the double stroller and all of the luggage, we will need the extra room. Gas is just soooo expensive it is killing me not to get good gas mileage.

For our trip in June we will be staying at BLT studio for one night and then move to AKL Jumbo House Studio for the other seven nights. We have decided to try out a different resort for one/two nights every vacation and then move to our favorite AKL for the rest of the trip. That way we can find new favorites, but still have AKL to fall back on if we don't like the new resort. So far we have tried CBR and All Star Sports and since staying in DVC deluxe we will never go back! :lovestruc

ipuffyheartdisney - that is very funny, seems our family has quite a bit in common. AKL is also my favorite place to stay.

I have been playing with different driving styles and if I do not speed at all, I can average about 22 - 24 mpg in the Jeep. The big issue is how fast I accelerate. I am hoping to get close to 25 on the drive down but we shall see.

We are at 23 days to go and really looking forward to this trip!

Enjoy your time and let me know how your gas mileage turns out.

Thanks
