RHMH - sounds like a fun trip. You are brave for taking her friends with you. :goodvibes Your cat is 21? We had one that lived to be 22 and she was an inside and outside cat....boy I still miss her. She was the best cat ever!

MKY - sounds like a good way to start you trip. :cool1: I sure wish we were there with you again.

Candizfan - Yes, it will be a fun trip with DD and her friends. :scared1: Thanks for reminding me, Issac our Cat :cat: will be 22 in April. He is a Siamese - he has glaucoma in both eyes and has lost his muscles in one ear. The ear just lays down (Floppy).

RHMH - Issac sounds like he has been a good friend to you for a lot of years. It is so hard to see them in failing health.

When it was our Susie's (the cat) time we arranged for the vet to come to the house and it was a lot easier on her. Looking back, I think I waited too long. They say cats do not show how much pain they are in. When I learned that I started to really pay attention to her and I could see her hiding her discomfort.

She was a wonderful cat that everyone in the neighborhood loved. Even the older women up the street that hated cats would call her to come for a petting.

Give Issac a scratch under the chin for me.

I sure will give him a scratch for you. I adopted Issac at the age of 3 months from the Humaine Society. the cost was only 40.00, now the cost of adopting is between 100.00 to 150.00.

Our Dog is an American Eskimo Spitz and I adopted him from the same place as Issac 3 years ago. My DD and I enjoy them very much. Don't know what the plans will be when Issac passes away. Have not thought about it to much, hoping he will be with us for a least 2 - 3 years more. Issac has been an indoor Cat for the whole time. He sits on the window ledge and looks out but I really do not think he has ever wanted to go outside.

Hiya everyone,

Wow is it crowded. the entire ak parking lot was full. toy story line was 150 minutes. This is the worst we have seen. Luckily with 2 weeks we can take our time.

Have gotten some rest and my dark eye circles from work look so much better.
Bug is doing well. She got in and out of space mt. So that is an acommplishment with her leg. But afraid to try rock n roll coaster, to hard to manuver quickly.

Tommorrow we go to epcot. Looking forward to that. Might not seem so crowded.

interesting news here. A couple of shootings down on international drive. And several bad, fatal accidents on I4. Reminding us of chicago news. :confused3

Think the monorail was running all day today? wondering if they are done with the work.
:cutie:

Not sure if I told you guys, I did book our august trip here and landed the bounce back rate. Will do CR again in august. :wizard:

Well hoping to get in early pool time so have a great week, mky :cutie:

Just say that the Windy City was 81 two days in a row:worship:

Have a great time!! Flower and Garden looks awesome!

Welcome RHMH!

Hi MKY - glad you are having fun. Sounds like better weather than the last time we were there in March (2010). It was cold and rainy the whole time.

I do have a tip for RnR. Tell the cast member about not being able to get into the car quickly and use the handycap entrance. I had friends do that and it worked out for her.

Have a good time.

EE22 - we have have over 80s weather was well. I cleaned up the back garden and we had a BBQ for the kids friends since it is spring break and went for our first motorcylce ride of the season together.

Hard to believe how nice it is and I still have a month before it is time to start teaching at the college again.

I just hope we don't have 110 degree weather in June . :scared1:

48 days till our trip in May to AKV. :cloud9:

Hiya everyone, :cheer2:

We are back home. Had a great time. Beauitful weather. Really no c/o if I ignore mousekeepings issues. ;) Bug, did great on her knee just 6 months out of surgery. We did do a slower pace, and had a lot of down time.
MK has so much construction and "working for our future enjoyments" that you could do the whole park in a few hours. Our 1st week was way tooooooooooo busy. Large crazy crowds. Waited 40 minutes for a coke. And just about that long for the bathroom. Our 2nd week, I would say was about summer busy. Nutty, but managable. CM's where great. Wish I could say that about alot of the visitors. :rolleyes1 Why, wdw brings out the worse in some people floors me, each time and is always a surprise. Even little things, like holding the elevator for someone, or giving up a bus seat to someone. Holding a door open for the person behind you. And I counted 1 "excuse me" the whole 2 weeks. It must be fascinating to work there and observe this day in and out. If anyone needs a psych topic for a diseration > I would recommend watching people and manners at wdw.

Mousekeeping's issues where that we are apparantly not out of our room early enough or for long enough periods to get it done. :confused3 We usually where in room till 11am went to pool for 3 hrs, then showered and left till late evening? We didn't have service twice, and 1 other time they wheren't coming but called to tell me and I said we wanted it done and where leaving in 1/2 hr. The last time > not done I asked for towels to be delievered > and was told if we wanted our room done "we needed to get on there schedule" HUH! It wasn't pretty. And I am aware what they "charge" for housekeeping over at bay lake / or other dvc's. So the large price tag, I paid [even with the discount] shouldddddddddddddddddd include housekeeping. I have never not tipped mousekeeping and quit doing it this time 2 days in. :upsidedow{even if I felt guilty}.
Next time, if this occurs I will notify them each and everytime we leave the room. :confused3 ;)

Of course, this is not detering us from once again staying at the CR in august. Got the bounce back rate. But, to get tower mk view > I had to book the club level. Which I usually believe is over rated but wanted the view. So we will suffer. :rotfl:

Well, enough about us. Looks like everyone has had great weather! :wizard: And your count downs are dropping quickly. :yay:

The "boys" are now huge. OMG! Dad spoiled them rotten. Next week the twins are 8 months. Bugs, babies are growing up. And now have their big boys bark. pluto: pluto:

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Tommorrow back to work?? But, I am hopping to get cancelled, must be my turn??

mky :cutie:

Welcome back MKY and Bug.

I am glad you had a great time. Sorry to hear how busy it was for your first week. I am not sure why some people loose their minds and manners at theme parks. It does seem to happen more and more often.

The housekeeping timing is always and issue for us and I am glad they don't come every day with DVC rooms. Then I don't have to get frustrated with it everyday.

We are 41 days from our trip now and everyone is starting to get excited.

It is going to be a busy summer for us. I start teaching again at the college in April, trip in May, wedding shower in June, summer trip in July still to be planned, Wedding in September. :cloud9:

MKY and BUG...Can't believe you guys are home already. My life is so insane, can't wait to get it back but the count down is officially on! April 23rd is my last class! Unless I decide to get another certification, but that would only be 1 more class. Ready to get my life back!

MKY...Back in August we noticed the same thing with the crowds. Crazy in the beginning and got way better the longer we were there. Amazing how things change over a few days.

Welcome from Texas! We (I) are trying to sneek in a few days around the same dates. But boy is it expensive. We always go in August and get free dining. Hoping for a pin because it is way expensive. Looking at offsite!:headache:

Seems the news is bad everywhere. I think with the economy being bad people are going nuts a bit more than usual.

Hope everyone is well. I guess I was away from here so long the site stopped sending me updates.:guilty:

MKY and Bug ....Welcome back !!!:goodvibes I feel the same way as TP2- it seems like the nice weather here has made the days fly by, because we were able to be out more often , and when I saw your post I couldn`t believe you were already back !!
Sorry about the "Non Disney Like" folks in the world that you encountered. You`d think that being in the happiest place on earth would make people more polite and considerate :rolleyes1
about mousekeeping- ya know, before Mr. Tomar and I became DVC members, I always thought I couldn`t bear being on vacation and not having our room made up each and every day. (that was a little hold off for me buying into the membership)... But, I have to say... that I do enjoy the luxury of not having to get up at the crack of dawn, before I can even enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning , to rush and get ready, before someone is knocking at the door to make up the room, and if you ask them to come back later....you miss the boat !!....ugh.........
Glad all is well with the boys...and that bug had a good time, and is feeling well !:goodvibes
I heard that some parts for the new Fantasyland had a soft opening last week, I think the new Dumbo ride and Barnstormer, as well as the new train station over that way....Did you guys get over to see any of the new area ?
Hope you get canceled tomorrow so you can do some resting up ;)
