we still havnet seen any blossoms yet. it will be like 80-something one day.. then drop to 40's and lower the next.. it sucks!!!

i just did some gas pricing, round trip is $315 about driving.. and the plan tickets i had found were almost $600 for us..big difference there..

I just found out that I need to attend a meeting in our offices in ORL. Florida in April compared to here... I'm in ;) and I thought might as well stay for the weekend for the Flower and Garden Festival :flower3::yay:

I'm trying to decide whether to stay in the Epcot area BC/YC for great access through the IG or at my fave resort - the WL for MK in the evening - Wishes is a can't miss for me on any trip.

Any suggestions? AP rates are available for both - about $50 a night difference in price. But this time cost isn't a large concern as it's only a couple nights.

Thanks for any thoughts :goodvibes

bet your soooo sad having to go again.. (sarcastic) lol

well which one were you at last?

Hiya ladies, :yay:

Minnie, :dance3: WoW! Either choice is great. We did spend time at Flower show and it is always beauitful. But, we had a meal at WL and it is so interesting in itself. :confused3 I would decide which one is closer to where you want to spend more time? 1 day at epcot and 2 mk > stay WL if opposite then epcot. But, then again I always seem to stay in the same places over and over again. ;) Can't mess with a favorite. :thumbsup2
Funny you wrote that, I just today got a flyer for ped. nursing conference at the dolphin in June. My boss would never let me go again. :headache:

JMouse, no 80's here yet. They say maybe this weekend. We need it. Vader :darth: so needs a bath.

Happy thursday = vampire diaries.

mky:cutie:

Yeah it just stinks :rolleyes1 :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Last Aug we spent a couple lazy days at the YC were I recovered from a hospital stay - much needed :cloud9: and the in Oct DF and I went for a long weekend for MNSSHP and stayed at the WL. I loved that trip with him so much that I'm not sure I'd enjoy a solo trip staying there....

I may end up with 1 extra day :wizard: but if not my plan is 2 nights & 1 full day for parks and DTD shopping. Epcot for F&G is the main focus but evenings I prefer MK - it's really a toss up :confused3

Minnie
Ending your nights at mk. Your tired and just want to get back . . . . So mk area is my recommendation. But wl is romantic. Hmmm

I booked the YC for location, location, location :goodvibes Only a few days to go :cool1::cool1::cool1:

We are planning a mid Aug trip for my DS's 18th b-day. Finally his wish for Discovery Cove will come true :wizard: Has anyone seen room discounts for that time? Looks like we will check in Aug 13th for a week :yay:

Hiya everyone! Happy Sunday. :dance3:

Minnie, that is wonderful news, congrat's on the YC. I am sorry, but the discount for aug. has already expired. There was one checking in on sunday. But, has left. Now there is one up till the sat 13th. It is on the disney web site under "specials". Still waiting for ap rates if that might help. Some people are talking about travelocity or expedia for better rates.
Good luck.

Jmouse, hit 85 today! I was looking for the air conditioner. :rotfl: But, right now we have tornado warnings and bad storms on the horizon.

Finally after a week of antibiotic's I am feeling better. :yay: Hope everyone else is recovering.

mky:cutie:

MKY - sorry you are not feeling very well.

TP2 - congratulation on double digits. This may sound really strang but I swear it works. Put Vicks Vapour rub on the bottom of your feet when you go to bed. It helps to keep the cough under control! :confused3 I have no idea why it works but I do it for myself and the kids.

Tomar - glad you are feeling better now.

Camera update - the camera came home and guess what...the pictures from the ship had been deleted. Only the photos of the Coral World were left on the camera and the USB port is damaged. I email the women to see if someone may have loaded the pictures onto a computer and she swears the camera was never taken out of the bag. So the photos are gone! :sad1: It is a big disappointment.

I am waiting for a job offer to come after the check my references so send a little pixie dust this way if you can. It sounds like a pretty good place to work so I am looking forward to it.

I also did the class time and on bike testing to become a Canadian Safety Counsil Motorcycle Safety Instructor Candidate (in training). Once I do my volunteer hours to shadow teach, I can start to teach at the college. It is only a few weekends a summer but I am looking forward to it and it will help to pay for the bike maintenance and insurance.

Hey Everyone!
Candi: I got so excited that I was in double digits! I think you meant to refer to Tomar, I still have 125!:rotfl:
Feeling so much better now. After the 2nd full day I was able to function but it took a good 5 days to full really normal again. Strep is wicked. I have no idea how the kids bounce back so quickly.

Minnie: You will have a wonderful time no matter. But I love the Epcot Resorts. Especially if you are going to hit Epcot a lot. I know you like to end at MK but it is an amazing thing to have Epcot walking distance from your room.

I saw you on a gluten free thread. My dd6 is now gluten free and it has changed our lives (and hers of course).;) I did not know you were gluten free too. So hard to diagnose. It took us years to figure it out and so many different therapies along the way. Just so happy to have found what made her life so miserable.

Hope everyone else is doing well. Still no return flight here but I am secretly hoping no discount comes out until next week when my credit card closes another cycle and I have more points. I am hoping to get 2 more tickets (one ways) on points and I still have that $275 in credit. Only pay small portion in cash. We shall see but at least we get to Orlando for FREE!!!

Hope everyone has a great week. Looking forward to this one ending so that I will have off for a WEEK AND A HALF!!!:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

TP2 - I did mean Tomar. I missed so much, I was having trouble keeping up I guess. :rotfl:

My DD12 use to get strep and other than looking like she was sick, she never even complained. :confused3

Minnie - Sounds like you are going to have a great, even if short trip.

My DD12 use to get strep and other than looking like she was sick, she never even complained. :confused3

Candi: I don't get it. My kids are the same way. Slight fever, maybe tired. Actually my DD12 would vomit but no sore throat. I don't get it either. My throat hurt so bad it hurt if you touched it on the outside. Glad it is over and happy the kids don't suffer as much as us.;)

Well...we are headed to a track meet to stand outstide all day long and it's snowing:scared1:college track meets start at 10 am and run ALL day long.

I hope everyone is planning and keeping warm and dry!

Hi everyone :goodvibes

The YC is fab as always! We even have a bounce back offer in our room so don't loose hope for late summer travel:goodvibes

Minnie - It would be wonderful to be there too. I hope you are having a great time.

It was cold, cloudy and rainy all day here... yuck!

Just booked  FD vacation for Aug 2nd thru 7th and wondering how bad the crowds will be . DH, myself and DS (4) love the heat but I am very concerned after reading other post that it will be jammed packed. :scared1: I normally go around Labor Day week, I know it will be busier but is it worth the money I am saving with FD to go first week in August instead of early Sept. Any recommendations how to beat the crowds DS is always up by sunrise...lol!
