School starts Sept 7th here. They went until June 29th this year.

MKY - I gave up my seat on the way home from Denver and they put me on a connecting flight through Midway! I only had an hour between flights or I would have tried to reach you.

Better run...bills to pay!

Im home !
This was a tough trip to say the least ....I got sick on July 15th, (I mean...realllllllly sick)....Broncial Infection, ...lost my voice, and even lost the magic I was soooooooo feeling when I arrived on the 11th..
I was fortunate enough to have my doctor call all my meds into Walgreens, or if we used the drugist of WDW (Turner)....we would have been penniless by the time the kids came...LOL...they wanted $500.00 to have the meds delivered to the Boardwalk, not to mention the price of the meds !! Yikes !!....We are in the system at Walgreens, having had meds made there one time in NJ....so we called them and they were nice enough to take our "Co-pay" and call it a day !!
MKY- I was soooooooooo sorry to have had to call you and cancel our meeting.....I really waited until the 17th, to see how I was going to feel, but, you heard me on the phone and it wasn`t pretty !!
I hope that your week in the world was great...it was hot, but no rain ...and that was good !!
I was feeling alittle better by the time the kids came down, we moved over to the one bedroom at the BW.....and the Princess was in AWE of everything she was experienceing !!
I have Good and Bad news about the BBB....the good news was....the Princess was loving all the attention and her makeover.....the bad news was....she had about enough of it after 2 hours and was itchy , and the her head hurt, and she wanted out of everything !!!! ROTFL......
Luckily we have all the pictures which I will be uploading as soon as I get a chance guys !!
I haven`t had time to catch up on our thread...TP2- I hope your Beach Trip was wonderful .....Minnie....I glanced at your post...are you ok ?

Candi, That is very interesting. Chicago airports are soooo boring. Especially compared to the "mall" at MCO.

Tomar!Welcome Back! Don't worry I totally understand. Florida weather is brutal on our resp. systems. Just not used to it. But, we did miss seeing both of you, too. Glad you where able to get a little better for the "kids". Walgreens is nicer. I forgot my rx on something one year, and since I filled it here they gave me a week to cover me. Just pulled it up in the computer and gave me 1 week earlier. Very convient. For 500.00 you could of taken a limo to walgreens and got them filled, instead of just delievering them to you. always wondered how those girls could stand there hair pulled tight like that. It looks uncomfortable. Can't say I blame her. But, if you hadn't done it she would of noticed the other girls and wanted it done.
Can't wait to hear about your trip. Hope you liked the boardwalk.

Our trip was nice, but wayyyyyyyyyyy to hotttttt. And way to full of teen's. [tour group's of teens]. Kept telling myself, october will be better.

I sent out our photopass things to you guys. We only had a couple of pictures taken. It was part of the dinner, so we "had" to.

Tomar: So sorry you got so sick. That is awful. We had the same issue with Turner Drugs. I actually wrote a note on the boards warning people to use CVS or any other chain drug store. I had called our insurance and they said they would cover any charges but our script that normally would have been a $5 copay cost us $388. Insurance only paid $188 of it. We fought it but they said it was way beyond a resonable charge.

So I have to say we hit Great Adventure, a Six Flags park, yesterday. We had a great day and did not expect it at all. Last time there I was so disappointed at how badly the park had been run. Well, they are really cleaning that place up. We kept saying how they must have stolen Disneys business model for running the parks. No smoking, limited beer being sold, VERY clean (which was shocking), security everywhere, and then the parade at 9pm. We videotaped it because no one would ever believe. It was very Spectro. Shorter and not as elaborate but very nice. Between the music, floats, and princess...AMAZING! So after thinking for a bit and comparing to Disney for like the 100th time I remembered that Disney bought Marvel Comics last summer and Marvel is in the park. Wondering if Disney got the parks too. You would think that would be all over the news but I have not heard a thing. Anybody???

TP2: The Marvel rides are at IOA.

I have no idea if this is true, but I guess Disney cannot build anything Marvel in FL. I am not sure if IOA can add anything...I don't think they can. WDW sells a few things in the parks at WDW. Interesting with Universal/IOA with the Marvel rides. Of course, their other parks could build them in CA and overseas.

The Spiderman ride is awesome as is the Harry Potter Forbidden Journey ride.

TP2: DS thinks those are DC Comics...pretty sure. I cannot keep all that straight. Disney just bought something else too...I cannot remember what it was.

EE22: DS is probably right. In that case, Disney should sue. They are doing everything that Disney does. The park was so much nicer than it was 4 years ago. It was shocking! Blew Hershey out of the water.

As for me well.... I'm still having the same problems - stomach pain and associated issues I was finally released from the hospital but the pain continues. I will finally be able to get into a specialist at a university hospital next week so I'm praying that he will have some answers

To keep my spirits up since we had to cancel our summer vacation, we've talked about taking a short weekend trip when I get better.... and that day just has to be coming soon

MKY: So sorry I missed your birthday. I remembered but was too early and then the day slipped by. I hope it was a happy one.

Minnie: I am so sorry that you were too sick for your trip. I guess if you have to look at the positive side, at least you were not in Florida when you got sick. I hope they figure out what is wrong, can't believe you were in the hospital and you still have no idea. Hopefully you will get some much needed answers soon.

Minnie- I am glad you have been released and I hope they figure it out soon. I think a nice weekend away, once you feel better is a good idea.

I caught some bug on Friday. I was fine all day and then BAM! 2:30 I felt I was going to need a bucket while I was in the washroom...I actually came home from work early! I rode the bike to work on Friday and had DH come get me with the car because I was so distracted trying not to get sick, I didn't want to chance riding home.

I feel better today but the weird thing is I never actually got sick....:confused

Minnie...I hope you find some answers. A friend of mine had major stomach issues and still does and they still have not figured out why. Very strange. Sorry about your trip...that is a major bummer.

I'm in the final hours of summer...at least we have a contract...that was sort of ugly this spring...already really working...set up my room yesterday for the most part...only a bit left that I can get done during our workshop days. Have lesson plans done, online gradebook set up...all that beginnning of the year stuff...I have to find my "list of things to do"...I forgot to look for it! Can't complete the beginning of the year list without "the list". I do so much in the spring before summer even hits that it makes it so much easier in the fall now

biggest problem for me this year...due to the budget issues we no longer can print on colored paper. I always print a year in advance...everyone knows how Type A I am...so this is the first time I have to use all white paper...it might put me over the edge. All my stuff was color coded...pink for info, buff for graded quizzes and tests, white for practice quizzes...now it's all white. It freaked me out to even file my stuff away last spring!

I found my 2011 Disney calendar at Kmart...so I'm good to go!

And...most importantly...I have my counter going for our trip next summer! Planning for DL sure will be strange. So many changes already in our lives!

I am so planning on 2011 to MNSSHP...might need your help mky with tickets! May have to wait till 2012, but I really want to go!!!! I think I could talk DH into it too.

Hiya everyone,

Off today. enjoying the terrible heat / humidity the midwest can have in the summer. Plus, with all the rain this year mosquito's are rampant. Need a net suit go walk to the car..... Friday, we are going to our "casino" here for dinner and fun a little work get together gearing up for our busy season.

EE22, sounds like alot. Sorry about the colored paper thing. I love that kinda stuff too. We all have an idea at work for colored iv tubing! It would be so great in our icu. Sometime, we have a patient with as many as 10 iv lines and following the tubing to which line / bag is a problem. We now mark with little tape flags labled but wow, it would really make it easy.... .
No problem about October. Will see if I can grab some extra literature this year and send you some stuff after our trip this year.

Tp2, Candi, and Minnie, thanks for the B- day wishes.

Minnie, so hope things are improving. Missing your trip, will make next time so much more exciting.

Hi Everyone !!
Well....finally got through all the washing and putting away....I have a ton of ironing to do yet...but that can wait for a while.....
Went to my Allergist for a followup visit after the bad bad Broncial thing in the world...and he said that I am still healing...(lungs aren`t quite clear yet)...so I have to stay on the Xopenex for a while....meantime.....Mr. Tomar is now sick with the same thing...and I am spraying the house with lysol every hour, since the doc said I can get a relapse anytime since Im not fully healed.....YIKES !!
It`s been stiffleing hot here...in the 90`s everyday...It seems like we took this weather to florida, and took it back to New Jersey

MKY- I hope you are enjoying your day off.....I like the idea of colored iv tubing....might make life alittle easier to look at, at work .....

EE22- I hope your weather gets cooler, as I know this week you start school and usually the "Heat is on" as there is NO AC going in class !!

TP2- the girls still have a longggggg month to enjoy being off from school, but Ive been seeing all the "Back to School" things in the stores, and frankly, it is getting me sick, I don`t want the summer to end !!

Minnie- How are you feeling ?.....I hope and pray that soon you will have an answer to your med issue, and can get going on your vacation to the world soon !!

Candi- Hope you are feeling better too ...I think there is nothing worse than being away from home and getting sick....ick !!
