mky...glad your tests are over and you get good news from the reports. Not fun. Glad you are feeling better Tomar. Good luck with the house selling TP2. I think the new bill gives you some cash too. Candi I hope DH's dad can hang in there till April.

We had snow last night...and it made travel to our last bball game horrible. A 40 minute drive turned into 1.5 hours going 10-30 mph on the interstate. The drive home wasn't much better...but we did get up to 45. A real nail biter. 1 inch turned to 4-5. White blanket again and we just saw all the piles melt this week.

I hope everyone has a Happy Valentine's Day.

I read somewhere that resorts are not very full...like only 25% full. Only good thing is good ap rates. Glad you got your deal TP2!:woohoo:

Hi Guys! Well the reason we are thinking of moving is because the more expensive homes have come down by a much higher percentage than more average price homes. We have done most of the work on our house so it is in good shape. We can upgrade into a fixer upper for the same or less money because of the economy. With husband being a teacher, we sat with our jaws open when people were spending crazy money on homes. Now they are stuck and we are in the right position to go. Lots of foreclosures. And we never took out any equity. If we don't get the price we are looking for, we will stay. Not the end of the world.

Hope everyone has a great Valentines Day!

EE22: So sorry you got more snow. The snow we were supposed to get got cancelled, good thing because I was losing my mind. Enough already with the mess. Your snow season lasts way longer than ours. I would lose my mind.

Tomar: The plane crashes are scary to me too. And I never believe what they tell us. I always think they are hiding something. Who knows but since we have a new president there are 2 plane crashes in the NY area in a month. Pretty scary. Maybe just bad luck.:confused3

MKY: Hope you are feeling better today.

Gotta go buy a Valentines Day card for DH. Nothing like the last minute.:lovestruc

Hi everyone

TP2 - sounds like a well thought out plan with the house. Good luck with both the buying and the selling end.

We had a nice Valentine's birthday celebration with my mom and my SIL and a bunch of family. I cooked turkey and we had 16 for dinner. The neices and nephews sure enjoy seeing each other and we even got to meet my nephew's girlfriend :cool1: Very nice girl and brave to meet so many of us at once.

We woke to a full blanket of snow today as well.

Happy Valentine's day everyone.

Hiya everyone!

25 days!! to go. I got soooooooooooooooooo much to do.:rotfl:

Candi, We are getting close. Prayers for you FIL. There is not a true connection between lungs and esophagus or stomach. What usually happens is similar to GERD. Just a lot stronger, and more. It is probably a reflux > and the "valve" is the valve between the stomach and esophagus. In age, or chronic sickness, it loses its power to stay closed and allows fluids, foods to go up and not stay down. Problem is that, due to age and illness, the person cannot control it, or swallow in time and winds up aspirating into the lungs. Usually winds up with repeated pneumonia. You get the sensation of drowning, a quick rush of fluids up similar to vomiting, with no where to go. They can do, thickening of all fluids, helps them stay down. No over eating, better with smaller, frequenter meals. Or always keep the head elevated, gravity assist. Keep an eye out for pneumonia: fever, congestion, cough, bloody cough. We do see this in kids too. Lots of our older CP kids have this problem, due to weakness. Hang in there.

Tomar, When I saw the plane originated in NJ, I though of you.

TP2, sounds like a good plan. Mr. TP2, has a good head on those shoulders.:thumbsup2 Good luck, with the house :wizard: That is way exciting. Especially not changing schools.:thumbsup2 Now, what saint does everyone bury in there yard to sell the house? Hmmmmmmmmm:idea:

EE22, Its cold here again and freezing up. So far we are a little more than a dusting, not too bad. But calling for more this week. Don't forget my math question.:teacher:

Happy sunday, At least feburary is half over.;) Mky:cutie:

MKY - thats for the tips. I will pass them on to FIL. Years of smoking did not help I am sure.

We are enjoying our second Family Day holiday here today. They just passed this holiday for us last year but I am loving the day off in February now.

It is warmer here today and quiet nice out. The snow we got on Saturday is starting to melt away, nice and slowly.

TP2 - I will send pixie dust for great results with the house. pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Hiya everyone, 24!! Less than a month.

Candi, no problem. :wizard: Hope things are going well. We are 1 day closer.

Anyone else have problems yesterday with the dis? I didn't think my post even took. I couldn't get on after that at all. :confused3 Sundays must be too popular.

Have a great Monday, mky:cutie:

Hiya everyone, 23 days!!!

Help, I am procrastinating!!!!!!!!! So far, I have cleaned 2 of our 3 [trilevels] levels, went grocery shopping, played with vader, now cooking chicken,.....:rotfl: >>>>> all because, I planned to try on shorts and swim suits.:rotfl2: Great way to get work done. But no shorts or swim gear out yet. :scared1: I need to get into that big time. Then time to wash, and iron if needed and pack.:laundy: OR of course, shop for what I need.:lmao:

This trip is coming to soon. With all our medical issues, I am never gonna be ready. I work this weekend again, and off the next >> I will need to pack that weekend almost. And bug, has nothing done. she is so laid back compared to me. She knows: I bring to much, so we are covered if she didn't bring something.

It was 69 today in Orlando >> come on heat. I don't want to be in pants and sweat shirts.:sad2:

Hope everyone is having a great day. I have to turn the chicken.

mky:cutie:

Hi Everyone !! :goodvibes
It`s already Tuesday...alittle late for hopeing that you guys had a good weekend ....but I`ll say it anyway....I hope you all did !! :grouphug:
Our DS was over all weekend ....so I was busy cooking ....
The Perfectly Princess had a 103 temp. for 2 days ....the Doctor said there is a weird strain of virus that only brings high fevers and nothing else going around...she just has a little cough....today she is better though :cloud9: (thank Goodness...I was a very worryed Gram-ma for a while there } :scared:

MKY- WOW........23 more days !! WHOO HOO :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Hi Everyone::goodvibes MKY and Candi...you guys leave again soon.:cool1:

I hear you MKY! I started my diet about a month ago with hopes of wearing a bathing suit in August.:rolleyes1 Started out only eating fruit and veges. Added a bit more in because I was just starving all the time. Never got on the scale though. So now I know my clothes fit better but have no idea how far I have come.

We are painting and cleaning out the house to get ready. Spoke with our accountant today and he agreed it was a good time for us to reach up. To move down is bad right now but to move up is good. Still scary, we keep telling ourselves that at least our house looks nicer. All those things that you put off doing.:sad2: Lots of work for our February break.:rotfl: Keep thinking ahead to August when this will all be behind us, whether we move or not.:woohoo:

Tomar: So sorry about your princess. Maybe Coxsackie virus? DD4 had that at the end of the summer this year. No appetite and fever but otherwise okay. Then the rash came.:scared: Finally go tomorrow to ENT for DD4. Can't wait to hear what he says. We will know for sure about tubes. Looking forward to seeing a specialist.

Hope everyone has a great week.

Well, hard day at work today.....just very frustrating...kept reminding myself that working is how we are able to eat..and oh...go to Disney :lmao:

MKY and I are leaving on the same day but she gets to leave earlier than I do. ;)

Can't wait to get away and I have only been back for a few weeks.

MKY - bathingsuit shopping and bra shopping are the two things that make me hate the mall. :scared1: I came to the conclusion that I hated my pear shape body even when I was 108 pounds so get over it...but I still don't like it. I have a friend that has not owned a bathing suit in 5 years. I keep trying to convince her to let it ride and enjoy but no luck. :lmao:

TP2- Thank you so much for clarifying that virus for me....I hadn`t heard of it until now...seems the old fashioned ...cough...flu...earaches that I remember...have evolved into different childhood ailments these days...I think that was why I was so worryed ....I couldn`t understand how she was getting such high fevers with no symptoms :scared1: ....
Im sending you lots of prayers and pixiedust for the Doctor visit with DD4 today ....I hope all goes well !

Hi Tomar: Yes, these viruses are scary. I think that they used to just say it is a virus and send you home but now they give names.:confused3 Thank you so much for prayers for DD4. She needs tubes and her adnoids removed. I feel both ways. I am relieved that she will hopefully be less sick after this but I am nervous and feel terrible that they need to do more blood work. We found a good doctor though, he works with LI Jewish, which is one of the better hospitals on LI. He agreed she is sick too often and on too many antibiotics. Hope your princess is feeling better.

Hi TP2:
I know I can`t tell you not to.....(because you will anyway ;) )...but....try not to worry so much ...it`s the best thing for DD4....Im sure that she will get through having her Adnoids removed and the tubes ... with flying colors !!
Ive heard of the hospital that you are speaking of....we have family out in your neck of the woods
The Perfectly Princess was only 2 1/2 when she had it done ....I know that your DD4 is alittle older...but she will be fine  ....and then she won`t be sick so often :flower3: .....this virus was really the first time that DGD got sick since the T&A op (and yes...just the names of them are scarey to me ! yikes !!!)......
Sending more pixiedust your way for DD4 !!!   pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Hiya everyone!

TP2, Glad you got to see the ENT today. This will all be over soon. She will be feeling a lot better. I remember, my godson, got tubes > and he was always soooooooooo loud, then the surgery and his voice was normal. Guess his ears where really bad. They tend to bounce back quickly from ears and adnoids. [unlike tonsils, alittle more work]. Lots on your plate with the doctor's and house plans. Good luck:wizard:

Tomar, Hope the princess: is doing better. Children's brain's are not mature enough to control the tempertures until around age 4,5, or sometimes even 6. That is why, they run such outrageous tempertures, compared to adults. An adult is high after 101, kids can run 104 without a problem. The danger comes in if the temp goes too high, or low too quickly. I found one of my parents putting ice on the kid last week, I almost had a heartattack. Just rotate tylenol and motrin, every 2 to 3 hours [one & then the other] and use a tempid bath. Push fluids perferably cool ones.:thumbsup2 And remember: the temperture will last as the virus does, and if its bacterial with an antibiotic: the temperture last a good 24 to 48 hours after it is started.

EE22, its sleeting here right now, hope you missed the snow.

Candi, We are sooooooooo close! I keep thinking about.

** BREAKING NEWS**

I just got an extra week off >> this summer!!! So we are looking at the week of July 12th. No one took it at work, so I jumped on it. ;) Bug, is interested in 4 or 5 days at disney and no parks. We talked about options: Las Vegas, [we will spend wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too much gambling], or Wisconsin dells [wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to expensive], or Chicago a few nites [also veryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy expensive]. So: might as well go: stay at a nice resort, use the pool, maybe do a waterpark, shop, and eat. >> at disney. We have always thougt about this as along weekend idea, or get away.

So anyone gonna be there that week? I need to look and see what is available and if any discounts out there.:dance3: See how much we can put a deal togther.

mky:cutie:

Hi Everyone

MKY - just over three weeks now!:goodvibes Aren't you lucky to be planning another trip this year. Maybe you should talk rates to rent a DVC room!:yay:

I can't wait to go and I keep checking the rates on the car and hotel but so far I have the best rate right now.

TP2 - pixie dust that everything works out okay.

Hi everyone::goodvibes Thanks for all the good wishes for DD4. I know this is the right thing to do, I just have to live through it. Looking forward to August for our trip and having all this behind us.;)

MKY: We will be there August 16, not July 12 but buy 4 get 7 is going on. May not work out though because you get tickets again. Maybe just hold them for a future trip.

Have a great night everyone. Gotta get some sleep.:faint:

Thanks Candi,

Yes, car prices for March are crazy. I got the best deal I could too. Its still high but about 300 cheaper than the rate now.

We booked air for july. That was a great buy. 250 rt. southwest. And times I liked. The rental car, did ok with the same am express code I used for march. Otherwise it could be another 200. on the other codes.
Still not sure about the room. We want to be cheap, yet really like the pool. I am considering the RN rate at dolphin, or PORS. Since we are planning no parks, would still like the disney feel. Think I will hold on the room, for now. cause maybe some kind of code will emerge. Played with the 4 for 7 thing too. But, only want 5 days, and not that great of a buy for that. I still want to bank my ap's till october, so can get an extra trip out of them. I have 1 day on an old pass yet, we can always buy a 1 day tix, if we really want to go.:confused3 Just in case.;)

Well, I know I won't be sleeping good tonight. too excited.

Happy wednesday, mky:cutie:

MKY - Sounds like a lot to think about and plan out. You could stay at the new BLT for a reasonable price maybe. What days of the week are you planning on going in July?

Hard to believe how busy we are at work trying to get the transfere of parts from our other plant organized. The good news is we have a lot of people we have called back from layoff.

Let's hope the vehicle lines that GM and Chrysler are going to cut are not the ones we supply to.

Candi, Thought you might want to know: The chicago auto show, is doing great. :thumbsup2 Its always a big deal here, and this year is hauling in a lot of business. Something constantly on the tv, and news about it.:wizard: that should be a good sign.

Oh, and: 3 weeks from today!!!

mky:cutie:
