:goodvibes ...... I'm thinking ......... You have named some GREAT dining experiences for a large group so far! Have you thought of :

Hoop De Doo Review
Raglan Road
Biergarten (Germany)
Mickey's Backyard Bar-B-Q
Sci-Fi Dine In (okay - that's just a MUST, even if you only do milkshakes!!)
50's Prime Time Cafe
Coral Reef
O'Hanna

Okay, well those are the suggestions that came rolling out of my brain (along with the brain of my DD10!). I'm sure there are more if we stop & ponder a bit longer....... let us know how it goes! How long will you be there? (how many ADRs do you need?)

Are you doing special Grand Gathering events??? We've never gotten to do those, but would love to one day!!!

Hiya everyone!:wizard:

Mouseaddict's good luck at your meeting, sounds like your doing terriffic!:woohoo: Hang in there. :rolleyes1 I have to get serious too.:scared1:

LTDF, :welcome: :cheer2: Congrat's on your trip plans. I would suggest: Garden Grille. You might have to sit at separate tables, but it is family style dining, & the character's go around. The set up is such that it is the closest thing to a private meeting with Mickey and friends available. :wizard: Not to mention a very relaxing and quietier meal.:) Good luck, in your planning.

EE22, Wondering how your feet worked out with those special shoes? I got another shot last thursday. But it has helped tremendously. Just hope it last.

Candi, any luck yet? I think you will have a grand time with the kids.:hyper:

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. I have a shot at getting cancelled tommorrow!:dance3: Maybe, I will get a extra sunday off.

mky:cutie:

mky...the MBT shoes are a life saver. They have sandles and tennis shoes. I bought a pair online for half price after I was fitted here. They are very expensive. $250 My Danskos at work are the ticket and I never walk barefoot anymore around the house. You can really see that my joint on my foot is swollen. I showed my students last week. They didn't believe me when I told them I had a bad foot so I showed them ;) I bought some spring sandles too for work that are cute that are Danskos as well...bought those from online and at the Dansko outlet. I wore the MBT sandles over spring break and walked all over at the mall with DD and had no issues so I think I will be good to go for Disney. When I'm in them, I'm fine. I wear my crocs around the house but their soles are not thick enough for long periods of time.

I meant to tell you too that when DD and I were in Scheels we saw these foot shaped water shoes and I thought of you for Max at the water parks. They were really cool.

Hi everyone,

Going in August 23rd -29th, staying at CSR.
Anyone have any idea how the crowds will be that week? Trying to figure out how much park time to schedule.

June 8-17 at PoP- Anyone else going then? How is the heat and crowds?

We are not going at that time, but have been during those dates before. The crowds pick up later in June. Arrive early and use fastpass though even during these earlier June dates. It can still be very hot during this time too so be sure to drink lots of H2O and take breaks in the afternoon.:goodvibes

were going from june 28-july 7 2008. I can't wait. never been for the 4th of july
Does anyone no what is the best place to go on the 4th.

Mouseaddicts: I will definately send some pictures when we get back.:goodvibes I am really shocked at how excited the girls are. Not DD3 but the other 2 are excited. They sell a one week pass that lets you into all of the attractions including Busch Gardens and then all the historic stuff. I have a feeling we are going to split up during this trip. DD9 and DH will be together doing the historic stuff and I will be with DD7 and DD3 at Busch Gardens. However everyone is happy is fine with me. As long as we all meet up for dinner. I have gotten a couple of codes but they never work for me. I am hoping I will get something for next year but I am not holding my breath. My group may like spreading out in the townhouse so onsite may become a thing of the past.:headache: We shall see.

MKY: We are looking at 7 1/2 hours to get down there. :drive: Not terrible. We are looking into breaking it up and stopping along the way.

EE22: I am really hoping for that counter to fly. I know I will get busy with life but still, it seems so far away. I went to my nephews communion yesterday and lots of people of there get the Disney thing.:hyper2: They were all yelling at me for missing a year. The good thing is that I have one coming in the future. I bought Disney Crocs today for DD9 and I got myself a Bagalini. :rolleyes1 So excited. :yay: It is bad though because now I have 1 1/2 years to buy stuff for this trip.:scared: I hope the airlines lift those luggage restrictions.:rotfl2:

Hi everyone

TP2 - isn't it great when you get to talk Disney with others that are nuts about it to.  I will be interested to hear about your trip as well. We would like to do a Disney Adventure that covers that part of the US. I have been down that way once but it was to visit family that were living down there so we did not do anything else really.

MKY - I am glad that things will work out for Max. It is hard to watch them learn the lessons but always a relief when it does not have a dramatic turn to their lives. I hope he stays on the right path now.

Well we are 14 days from the Europe trip and 69 from our July trip. It will be just the two daughters and myself, so it will be a much slower pace for us than it usually is.

Have a quiet night everyone.

Candi: Have you priced out that trip? I got a quote that included all of these discounts and promotions. With driving and paying for most of our own meals the total for a party of 5 was well OVER $9000.:scared1: The travel agent did not even follow up. She knew it was way out of the ballpark. I was totally shocked. We are doing the trip for a fraction of the price, like 1/4 of that and that will be if we add DC to the tour. Really not too expensive of a trip if you do it yourself. Have a great time in Europe on that cruise. That will build memories to last a lifetime.

were going from june 28-july 7 2008. I can't wait. never been for the 4th of july
Does anyone no what is the best place to go on the 4th.

We have been to WDW for July 4th for several years now - the kids have declared it a "Family Tradition"! :rotfl:

IF you have been to WDW before - and don't mind a LOT of people & high heat - then the MK fireworks on the 4th are GREAT!!! However ....... since you'll be there the week prior, you might want to do the MK fireworks display on the 3rd (trial run of the 4th) and hop over to see Epcot's presentation on the 4th! :thumbsup2 You'll get both that way.

We haven't ever been to Epcot on the 4th b/c of the kids. We have ALWAYS been inside MK that night. The fireworks are NOT the standard "Wishes" that they do the other nights. It's a presentation set to patriotic music & the fireworks are shot off all the way around the park, so no matter where you are, you will see them. You can also get a good view from the Poly beach or the Contemporary ...... depending on where you're staying.

This year, we've opted out of being inside MK, so we have a dinner ressie at O'Hanna the night of the 4th to watch from there. The kids have agreed ...... :dance3:

TP2 - the one I prices was for the Southwest that included Colorado and such. I did a comparison and searched the hotel cost separate and the tours and such (like white water rafting) and it was more but all organized for you.

Having done the Disney cruise once and booked for March 09, it takes you to a whole new level for holiday costs. Add to that the sticker shock of going to Europe for two weeks and it becomes easier to deal with.

But with how busy the next couple of years will be, it won't happen any time soon. I tend to plan a long way ahead which drives DD12 and DD9 a bit crazy. Here is a sketch for you...May Europe 2 wks, July AKV 10 days, Aug one night at the highland games (McNabs here) then Jan SSR 10 days, Mar 09 2 nights at Nikolodian Hotel and 7 night Disney cruise, Ottawa with family for summer 09, maybe California with our Denver friends, Mar 2010 back at Disney and then??????? Crazy eh?

Mouseaddicts, sounds like great July 4th plans. You should see the fireworks display between Detroit and Windsor. It is a multi million dollar display watched on both sides of the river by hundreds of thousands. Canada Day is July 1st.

Hiya everyone,:dance3: :grouphug: :dance3:

TP2, that sounds like a great trip you guys have planned. I agree, that is not a long drive at all. We just looked at the disney DC trip too. But it was for just 2 of us, so way cheaper. We have never been and I always wanted to go there too. But from here it is a lot longer in the car.

Mouseaddict's sounds like a good plan for July 4th. I would love to go once over the holiday but very hard to score that vacation wish here.

Tomar, things are settling down a bit here. Seeing another md (specialist) on friday.

EE22, I am taking your advise and last nite ordered a pair of the mdt's white athletic shoes (for work). If they work out > might get another to rotate > so they last longer and can take them to disney. Which sandles did you get, some are really cute. I tried the dansko's here they make a nurse shoe > but they are very narrow and that is not me. Happy national teachers day tommorrow!:) (we overlap it is national nurses week too).

Candi, I would not know which way is up if I where you. Can't wait for the pictures of Europe. You are soooooooooooo close.:yay: Take suitcases out yet?

Happy Monday, mky:cutie:

No suitcases out yet. On the weekend I will start to check weather and pack some things. If I start to soon, I will bring too much.

If you go to DC (which I did with the concert band in high school) be sure to take guided tours so that you get the history. Otherwise you miss way too much.

Good Morning Guys :surfweb:

EE22, got my first pair of mbt's and I love them. Already ordered another pair to tennis shoes and a sandle too. Bug ordered both too.:cutie: Your an excellent saleswoman. Hmmmm, maybe a sideline for disney money?

Candi, your right about DC, I have only looked at tours cause would have no idea where to go.

It was in the 80's here. :yay: But should cool off tonight, its gonna rain again.:scared1: We finally got to cut the grass today. The yard finally dried out enough. :confused3

Happy planning, mky:cutie:
