Hi All.
Weather here is horrible today, but it seems to be normal these days.

DS took 3rd in the meet Friday and moves on to State this Thursday.
DD took 8th and did not move on to State. We sat on the hill and cried quietly after she was done.:sad1: She did very well for a freshman and has 3 more years. We were in a tough district this year and the power house of throwing was there. Each meet helps her deal with the pressure. So, we are now looking ahead to this summer.

Happy Mother's Day.

Glad the MBts are working mky:cutie: My friend believes she has the same thing you have:guilty: I told her about good shoes already.

Have fun on your trip Candi:cheer2:

Happy mothers day everyone!

EE22, Wow, state! that is a great way to end the school year. :cool1: Now, your daughter did wonderful. :thumbsup2 As a freshman, she should be extremely!!! proud. That is a great finish, and a great future to get ready for!:wizard:
Good luck to your friend. Tell her to find a great md, and take the shot!

mky:cutie:

Happy Mother's Day Ladies

EE22 - you must be very proud of the kids. It sounds like they did very well.

MKY - I would have been 5 when Magic Kingdom opened but did not get to see it until 1995 when I was pregnant with first DD. I hope your feet are feeling better soon. Also, the wording of your letter was wonderful and if I had tickets to send, I would.:lmao:

I have my suitcase out but nothing in it yet. I will need to put in a lot of hours at work this week so getting everything done will be a bit hard....oh well the price I pay I guess.

DD9 had her finger x-rayed on Friday. The pediatrician thought she might have broken it. MKY - you ever heard of a growth plate in the fingers? He said if it was broken, the finger would stop growing :scared1: Can you imagine? God was watching out for her because I took her in for an infection in a duct near her ear. :grouphug:

One problem with the health care system here is we might not get the results till after I am gone. If it is broken, they will have to operate to fix it. Plus the pediatrician is out of town all next week doing examinations for new pediatricians. He is one of the best around, so it is a plus that he is doing the job he is but I am not sure if he will stay in touch with the office for things like this while he is gone. Even if she needs to have it fixed, the slow pace of health care here will probably mean it won't happen till after I am back.

So a little pixie dust for a fast, positive, result would be great.

I am sure it will all work out okay.

Hi candi, Sorry about your DD finger. Yes, I have heard of the growth plate. We usually have problems with broken legs at the growth plate cause you get uneven then. But, I would think they are located in all bones due to growth, until maturity. Yes, it will not grow properly or evenly with the rest of her hand if it is affected. Good pick up on your pediatrician. Did she just do it? I can see the need for urgency, if it is the growth plate.
Thank you about my letter.;) I expect my tix in the mail.:wizard: You want to sound like a responsible, citizen ;) who is voting for or against them.:thumbsup2

Good luck at work, mky:cutie:

Hiya Everyone! I hope y'all had a great Mother's Day!!! :goodvibes Sorry I'm late in posting that .... we had horrible storms in the area over the wknd & lost power 3 times yesterday. Thankfully, our house is okay, but there were tornadoes a few counties away (again!).

TP2 - Our b-days are very close to one another!!! I think we should plan a girls trip in October! B-days, MNSSHP & Food & Wine Festival ..... those are all wonderful things to celebrate at WDW in October!!! ;) What year did we say our little group was going to plan a trip???

EE22 - Congrats to both kids on their results! Competition can be hard, but rewarding at the same time. My kids aren't there yet, but I can sympathize with crying with your DD. :guilty: The positive side (as already stated) is that she IS young and has 2-3 more years to make improvements! Best wishes on state! :cheer2: You will have to let us know how that goes for your DS!!!

Tomar - Did you get to see the princess: for Moter's Day???

Candi - When do you sail??? I soooo want to do a Disney Cruise .... maybe one day ..... We must see photos!!! (please:upsidedow )

MKY - Are your feet improving??? I certainly hope things are less painful for you ...... and you can avoid surgery! :headache: And for what it's worth, I would send you tickets too!!! ;)

Happy Monday! :grouphug:

Hiya everyone,:wizard:

Candi, how did your daughter make out? Hope things are ok. Good luck on your trip. Remember, Sailing IS relaxing. And soon you will be looking out at the sunset, wondering why you where so busy.

EE22, I got my mbt sandles today > and they are even better than the sneakers.;) Gosh, I hope this company never goes out of business. We will be buying them on the black market. :scared1: If your friend did rupture her foot > be sure she sees an md soon. I caused alot of damage and scar tissue because I was not casted immediately. Hopefully she didn't do this.

Tomar, thanks again. The bug (ds) is much better.

TP2, Glad the girls are all excited about the trip. :wizard: Happy Planning.

mouseaddict's, you really crack me up sometimes. Great sense of humor & excitement. Foot is sooooooooo much better thanks to EE22! Find some wood to knock on.:rolleyes1 Finally thinking I might be able to keep up with DS and Max in august. Aren'tyou down to 1 week now?

Planning > I am in the 70's!!!!!!!!!:dance3: Last night bought Max's AP, at the disney store here in town. Also got a real cute beach towel's for us with mickey and gang and it says "family vacation" with a beach scene. 2 for $20.00. Sis bought my b-day gift = a 2 teir simba water globe with simba and nala on top of the giraffee scene. I am now up to #4 simba water globes. I believe the complete simba line.:woohoo: (:sad2: ) I think, I have OD'D on collecting.:rolleyes1

Happy Planning, Mky:cutie:

mky...glad the MBTs are working. I love mine. Man at the store told me if they get wet you lay them out sideways and they will dry. You know that Orlando rain. Told my friend to see a doc NOW!!

Don't forget shoes for TL. Crocs work great for me since I need better shoes. Nile have a strap. Scutes are what I wear around the house. Max could probably wear Jet Shoes from Targe' since he's young and has good feet still.

Hope everyone is well. Think Happy Thoughts and blow Pixie Dust towards the Field of Dreams at 4:30 pm CST Thursday for DS. :cheer2: :cheer2: Big day is tomorrow.:cheer2: :cheer2:

EE22- Sending lots of Good widhes for DS tomorrow !!pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

MKY- So happy that the sandels EE22 suggested are working for you !!:cool1:

TP2- I saw a commercial on TV last night for a "Williamsburg" vacation :goodvibes ....Looks like FUN !! :woohoo:

Candi- Hope your DD is OK and you have a great trip !!:thumbsup2

Mouseaddicts- Memorial Day is around the corner !!...:dance3:

Happy Planning everyone !!! We`re all getting close to our trips now !!!
:tinker: :mickeyjum :dumbo: :donald: :ccat: :simba: :goofy:

MKY: WoW! That was an amazing letter. We are switching things around a bit. We are going to stop somewhere relaxing along the way and then do what we can in DC on the way home. DH thinks DC may knock us out. Anyhow, I am going to get on those letters.

Hope that foot is doing better. Glad to hear you found some shoes that will help. I am sure every little thing helps.

EE22: Sorry about track. At least she has 3 more years.:cheer2: Sometimes if things come too easy it makes the reward less rewarding (make sense?). I just saw your ticker. You are SOO close!:woohoo: :woohoo: Just makes me think that we won't be too far behind. Hope you have a wonderful day tomorrow that is filled with excitement.:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

So I took DD9 to the doctor yesterday because she has a nasty cough. We did not see our regular Dr. because she works in the hospital on Tuesdays but I mentioned I was concerned because she had pnemonia over the summer. She said, "Wait! Did she get it in Disney???" I heard all about that.:scared1: I guess we were topic of conversation during lunch one day.:rolleyes1 She told me that during the break 2 weeks ago, they had 4 patients call from DW because they were really sick. She asked what was up with that place and sick kids. Pretty scary when you think about it. I think people just plan so much and for so long that they don't want any of their plans to get cancelled so they keep going with sick kids or not. The germs are spread like wildfire. I am thinking we may stay off site and rent a car next time regardless of anything else. Everytime we crammed into a bus I would freak out. You know things are flying in there.:scared:

Tomar: Hope you had a wonderful Mothers Day.:flower3: Your trip is coming soon too. I am sure you are all set and ready to go.

Candi: How strange with your daughters finger. Was she complaining at all or did he just notice something? I guess that if she has waited this long, 2 more weeks won't make too much of a difference.

Mouseaddicts: I can't remember which year we said we would do a meet. Maybe if we were all still talking in another year? That would be perfect and October is a beautiful time to go. Nice weather and some holiday breaks so DH would be around to take the kids. Something to think about.

Hiya everyone!:wizard:

Hope everyone is ready for a great weekend!:) I am working (off today) but it has not been to bad lately [find wood to knock on immediately];)

TP2, Your right about sick kids at wdw. Even here, in the summers we get kids from all over.:confused3 Staying with grandma for summer, or they pull off I80 and find our ER. :rotfl: After the hurricane's we had a lot of kids from the New Orleans regions. They moved up here with relatives and did not handle the North's germs as well. I guess we are the same in florida. DS (bug) has a deal with our Allergist > if she or I get sick we are calling him and he will order whatever. I am not going that quickie care route again. It wound up costing her a fortune. (she won't let me forget it, either) Our insurance refused care. Our insurance is tied into our hospital network [not located anywhere near florida] > and since we where out of network = refused.

EE22, Good luck to your DS!:dance3: pixiedust: :dance3: Hope you had our good weather today too.

Everyones, vacation is getting so close. We have all been waiting for so long seemed like it would never get here. :cheer2:

mky:cutie:

Hi everyone.

Crazy week here, sounds like everyone is busy these days.

Just ripping some music to my hard drive to load onto my PDA for the very long plane ride. After 2.5-3 hours being the norm, this trip is going to be a killer.

No word from DDs doctor, so I am hoping no news is good news. I am sure I will catch up again on the weekend. We don't leave till Monday.

Later..

HI All...it's 10:30 here. Just got home. The weather was grand. Not too hot but sunny and a nice breeze.

DS threw his best of the season. He was very happy with his performance.
He placed 11th in the State Meet.

Can't wait for 09:cool1: although I need a bit of a rest;)

Hi gals !
Well...ya think that once spring has sprung...the weather would cooperate and just get warmer and warmer...right?....NOPE !! ...Yesterday it was a beautiful 75 degrees here in New Jersey...and today....YIKES !:scared1: It`s
57 and pouring rain....that`s right ....ALL day !!....But not only just rain folks....MONSOON rain !! LOL :headache:
I spent most of today assorting things that Im going to send down to SSR before our trip .....so It was a productive (start getting ready) day dispite the monsoon ! ;) :woohoo:

EE22- Yaay !! for DS !!! So happy that he did well at the big meet !! :cool1:  :cool1:  :cool1:

TP2- Read the great outline that MKY suggested ya send... for info on your trip !!
Im sure that will do the trick !:cloud9:
Thank you for the Mother`s day wishes I had a great day...Dinner with the family and we went to see "IronMan"...the movie was great!:thumbsup2 .......I hope you had a great day too!

Mky- Im not thinking about being around sick kiddies in the world....I had enough of sick for this past winter ...grrrr;) ...but TP2 is right about the buses ....the only bus we took last year was to AK ...and on the way back we got caught in a downpour....it was great :scared: ...Freezing on the bus and soak and wet !!:scared1:
I hope Max is being a good boy and looking forward to another great WDW trip with his Aunts !!:flower3: His birthday will be great on July 8th this year....he`ll be anticipating leaving for the world quite soon after that !!:cloud9:

Candi- Hope all is well with DD...and hope you have a GREAT time !!:cheer2:

Happy Weekend everyone !!!

DD made a paper chain link to count down the final days. It has a picture with a movie quote on each one. DH would have rather had her do her biology project, but that's another story....:lmao:

EE22 - :lmao: my DH would have been the same.

Well, I am almost packed and we leave tomorrow for the airport and our flight to Barcelona!

Talk to everyone in a couple of weeks.

:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:
