Hey y'all .......... I'm seriously glad April will be OVER after tomorrow! I'm tired.

I've been to Hilton Head, Boston and WDW this month! :crazy2:

DH & I celebrated our 5 yr anniversary Saturday. Since we went to WDW for our honeymoon, we HAD to go back for 5 yrs - right!?! It was great ..... we were just there for the weekend - drove down Friday night & home Sunday. We hit the Flower & Garden Festival at Epcot and then had dinner at Citricos Saturday night .......... and then went over to the Adventurers Club. :woohoo:

All's good ....... but now I'm in need of a rest before we're back @ WDW for Memorial Day Weekend! :sad2:

MKY - Keep us posted about Max. I hate to hear it! Remember, we had to go w/o my step-daughter last year which wasn't ideal, but we managed to have a good time anyway! I didn't change any of our ADRs - I just told them at the podeum when we checked in that we were now 4 instead of 5. Best wishes!!! :grouphug:

Thanks MKY - it will hit us but we would still be okay if American Axle would manage to settle. The talks do not sound like they are going well. We are managing because we have a diverse customer base but it still hits us pretty hard.

The good news is the CAW has an early tentative deal with Ford here, and so I am hoping they avoid strikes here in the fall.

I thought by your comment about (2 girls here) that you had girls but I get that you meant you and Bug.

My sister decided not to have kids of her own but she is pretty involved with my two.

So Max is almost 11 - yep - since my oldest is 12 and her guy friends were at that stage last year, I think it is the testosterone! :scared1: I hope he finds his way, because you can't do it for him. Missing WDW might be the worst punishment he could face and might really teach him a lesson.

I hope we overlap a bit in March - it would be fun to meet up with you.

Mouseaddicts - I though I had a lot going on this year - you Win :lmao:

I am busy trying to plan my shore excursions for the Europe cruise but for the 10 stops - I am having trouble keeping on track and keep stealing a peak at my July plans for WDW instead. But I really need to figure out what I am doing for Europe first since we leave in 20 days! :woohoo:

Hiya everyone,

Welcome back mouseaddict's. Thanks for the inside info about the adr's. I will do just that. We are still hopeful that max will get to go. Should know something, after thursday.:surfweb: You are soooooooo right about april. This has been a long / and busy month. :worship:

:wizard: Thanks everyone for the good words. Keeping our fingers crossed here. :upsidedow

Candi, fingers crossed for your industry too. pirate: 20 days! Which ports do you stop at? This is too exciting. Yes, you are giving mouseaddict's a run on the most trips this year.:rotfl:

Thanks Tomar for the info. Very interesting.

Well we had sun here today (finally) but it was only 50. :confused3 oh well.

Is it really only tues nite. :scared1: I got an email from TGMIKE today telling me my window for 90 days = or to reserve the grand 1 / or specialty cruises are in a few days. Hmmmmmmmmm, not quite ready to tour about in the grand 1 with bug.

mky;) :cutie:

Oh yeah ....... I dont think I shared ...... We didn't make a ressie for Friday night. We thought we'd just drive, hopefully cross the FL state line & see how far we got before finding a room. Well, wouldn't you know ... we made it all the way!!!

DH looks at me as we're cruising down 27 in Clermont & says "I wonder if we can just drive up at Pop & get a room?" :confused3 The answer ..... "YES!" :rotfl: We drove up to the guard shack, told him we wanted to see if they had rooms available .... he called the front desk & said "yes - drive on through" This was great for us b/c we were booked at the Hilton for Saturday night, so we didn't have Disney property scheduled in the trip.

The best part ........ we got a bounceback offer in our room!!! DH called Saturday AM & booked Poly for Labor Day Wknd. We got it for $267.75 per night - including tax! :woohoo:

Okay - just had to share - I have to go back to work now so I can leave & go home! :rolleyes1

Hi, I'm new here. Going to Disney World June 22nd through the 27th. Me, my younger brother, and my grandparents. Saying this, my grandparents are only in their early 50's. This will be my fifth time going and am definantly looking forward to it. Just wondering-can anyone explain to me how the codes work. I'm staying at the Saratoga Springs Resort and just booked it a few days ago. If I can get a discount, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Deva (dayva)

Hiya everyone!:wizard:

Well, things got settled with Max. Thank everyone, for your support. He can return to school and his class. And should graduate to jr. high after may.:worship: Yes, looks like he can go with us in august. So everything is back on. :dance3:

Mouseaddict's what did you think about the hilton? Good job on the bounceback!

For the codes: Be sure you have signed up on the disney sites. Having the disney visa card > they have offers too. Or if you use an annual pass, we usually gets discounts. Just keep checking the boards and www.mousesavers.com for codes. Mouse savers has alot of info for you to read through. As do: www.wdwinfo.com (the sister site here) & www.allearsnet.com . Happy hunting and good luck.:wizard: If you do snag a code just call disney back and ask them to adjust your room with the code. no problem.

Yes, tommorrow is really may!:dance3: :cheer2: :dance3:

Happy planning, mky:cutie:

The Hilton ..... Well, it was nice. But ...... (1) the room itself was about the same as a mod/value on Disney Property (2) it's NOT on Disney Property (3) for the money, we could have stayed "on site"! The proximity to DTD is great, but again, it's just not Disney. IF you can't get a room through CRO, it's not a bad place to stay. 'Nuff said??? :confused3

Okay - funny (but true) story .........
I had a "business lunch" scheduled today. I put it in quotes b/c most of the marketing reps are women & we just usually end up chatting about life, family, etc. rather than work. Anyhoo ..... during lunch, I somehow brought up that we are "MouseAddicts" :goodvibes and we go to WDW multiple times per year. I dunno exactly HOW it came up, :confused3 but it did! :thumbsup2

Lizzie (lunch friend) says she hasn't been since she was 12 (she's in her early 40's now). I mentioned that we are going Memorial Day Weekend. She told me she'd love to go to WDW since she has a 2.5 yr old son, but wouldn't have a clue what to do, where to stay, etc. Now ...... how do y'all think I reacted to THAT statement?!?!? :rotfl: I started right off telling her about the Disney resort categories, how to navigate the MK successfully with a 2 yr old, all about EMH, Disney transportation, etc. :dance3:

After we talked for a few minutes, she got kinda excited about the possibility of going to WDW and decides she's just going to do it!!! While we were at lunch, I helped her plan out her 1st day at MK and even went out to the car & gave her a park map! (that's how you know you have a problem - you have extra park maps in your car!!!) She was THRILLED! :cutie:

When we finished eating, we went up to Starbucks and used their wi-fi to go online for airfare. :surfweb: While we were sitting there, she booked her flight online and I called CRO and booked her room (All Star Sports) and made her ADR at Crystal Palace for that Saturday night! ;) I then found scrap paper and wrote down the phone numbers (CRO for her to call with her flight info to arrange DME and WDW-DINE to make any add'l ADRs they might want) and websites for her to check out photos, menus, etc.

So, my friend Lizzie, her hubby and their cute lil 2.5 yr old son will be at WDW - ON SITE - for Memorial Day Weekwnd!!! :grouphug:
All b/c we had a casual "business lunch" planned today! Expensive lunch, huh? :lmao:

HEY!!!!

GUESS WHAT!??!:cool1: got a pin code for our days at the BC.
Never thought we'd get one or even a discount.

55 days.

Very busy...will catch up...some day.:rotfl:
21 days of school left!
District Track Meet tomorrow and Regionals on the 9th.

Hiya everyone! 91 days and counting:wizard:

Mouseaddict's! What a great lunch, :thumbsup2 I hope they have a great trip. I love planning trips. I think I would of made a great travel agent. "disney specialist" mkymouse4ever.:wizard: :surfweb: :wizard: Now that would be a career.

EE22, so what is the scoop on your pin? email or snail? Dates & resorts? Should we watch our mail? Or did you call disney? I didn't know you where going over to BC.

Everyones, plans are falling into places. Yeah, May!

Happy Planning Mky:cutie:

mky...it was in an email and it's name specific and attached to my phone and address. It worked out to $100 off per night at the BC. I'll take it! I didn't want a studio due to the beds and getting the daybed at BC Standard is better for us.

Available for stays most nights 5/26/08–7/3/08 and 7/6/08–8/2/08.
It said OKW and SSR, but I called anyway and it was several of the deluxe resorts. AKL but not AKV since there are not too many of them yet.

When we extended our stay AKV was not available so we would have to move rooms anyway and DD wanted to try SAB so I figured...why not?

Gotta run!!
Take care everyone!!

Your trip is starting to get very close too !!:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Mouseaddicts- Great story !!......AHHHHHH My Dream Job....:cloud9: :cloud9:
"A Disney Travel Agent"...and "Planner Extrodinaire "!!! :goodvibes

59 more days for the Tomars WHOO HOOOO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:woohoo: :woohoo:

Just took me a 1/2 hour to catch up.

MKY: So happy everything worked out with Max. Kids are a lot of work. Hopefully he learned his lesson.

Mouseaddicts: I do the same thing. I can go on an on about Disney vacations. Whenever someone tells me they are going I always go home and research the latest codes and have them call back. I have saved my neighbors hundreds of dollars. I love that.

EE22: So exciting to get that code. I am hoping that next year we can upgrade resorts. It would be nice to stay at YC. Totally different vacation experience.

Tomar: So happy to hear you are feeling better.

Candi: Things will work out. Sometimes it is nice to have that time alone with the kids. You will probably enjoy the more relaxed atmosphere. You won't rush from Fastpass to ADR.

Everyones trips are getting so close. We are going to Williamsburg, VA in July. DD9 is SOOOO excited she has lost sleep. We managed to get a 2 bedroom townhouse through one of the sites I learned about on the DIS. It is for government employees and we got it for $107 per night inclusive of all taxes and fees. Not too bad if you ask me. I think they are excited about the hotel too. Should be nice to be able to stretch out. Happy planning everyone.

Hiya everyone:wizard:

TP2, That sounds like a great trip. Now, how many hours is it to drive? Or are you flying? You, snagged a great deal too!:thumbsup2

TP2 & Tomar, Yes, I think Max will be good for a while.;) :confused3 :worship:

Look out, it has really been storming here today. And we are sending it East.;) Still 70 thou.:)

Have a great weekend, I am working all weekend.

Planning wise, we are discussing where we should stay for March 09'? I told bug to think about it. Might want to switch over to the Yc/Bc area, we have been staying by MK for a while now. But, you guys know me > probably wind up at the poly again.:confused3

mky:cutie:

Hi all,:yay:
I am so excited going back to the real world, I have our reservation numbers and our grand gathering number, but having trouble getting into the grand gathering on the dates we need so now I am having to make ADR for 9, 6 adults and 3 children, it's funny that I have put on conferences at Disney with better ease than getting 9 people ADR to sit together :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: at some of the nice places. I have change a few ADR's after reading the reviews. We will be on the Deluxe Dining Plan :lmao: as we are a family of foodies. We love to make dining an experience. Aloha Diner, Yachtman's Steakhouse, Tappan Edo, Yaki Yeti, chef Mickey, Cinderella Castle. Has anyone been lately and can suggest other great dining experiences for 9 youngest 4 oldest 50. thank you for your help. :thanks:

mky...missed the part about Max being able to to. I'm so glad:goodvibes

TP2...your counter will fly by in no time. We missed 07 all together and 08 is already here.

I'm tired, cold and I have a headache...have not gotten caught up yet either.
Someday....when my Prince comes:goodvibes

EE22 --- Congrats!!! :cool1: That is soooo exciting for y'all!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
I check my email pretty much on a DAILY basis hoping that one day the DisneyCodeGods will find us worthy of a PIN ....... :surfweb: We've never gotten one. Never. I don't know why. :confused3 But the date you got EE22 wouldn't work for us for the July trip b/c they have blocked out the specific dates we need for _____ resort (GF:confused: )! :rotfl: Oh well, I'll be happy for my friends instead! :cutie:

TP2 - I would love to take my family to Williamsburg! You must share photos!!! I haven't been there since middle school! I know you will have fun.

MKY - If I didn't say so already, I'm very happy to hear Max will be making the trip this year! Hopefully he will grow out of this little phase ........ guess we just have to love 'em through it, huh? (BOTH of my kids are grounded this weekend - for seperate offenses!)

Tomar - What are your dates again??? Do we overlap? I'd love to meet up & say "HI!" :goodvibes

Candi - If I could just extend my stay into yours, I would!!! I even have my very own AP! Wouldn't it be nice if we weren't tied to "vacation days" at work!?!?! How long would we stay at the world? :rolleyes1

Okay girlies ...... I have to get ready for my day. Wish me luck today..... I think I may have mentioned in passing (several pages ago?) that I joined Weight Watchers ....... unfortunately, last week I didn't get to go to my mtg (first time I've missed since I joined!) so today is back-on-track day! Anyhooo ..... I'm crossing my fingers that I get close to my next "target" of 30lbs! I'm a bit afraid of the scales today after missing last week ...... send pixie dust! :grouphug:
