EE22: So I have been dreaming about the sweltering heat in Florida too but I am not dealing with the same weather you are. I can't even imagine.:worship: :worship: :worship: You have every reason to complain.

I had such a bad day today watching kids. All I can think is this will pay for 10% of my dress for the wedding. Of course if I said this will pay for one person to get to Florida I would be happy, but that is another story.:rotfl: I did not realize we have leap year this year until I compared last years August schedule to this years calendar. I am trying to get an idea but who knows if it will work out.:confused3

To plan days, don't go by the date, go by the day of the week. It works well that way. The EMH days have stayed the same from last year to this year.

I haven't been warm for weeks and I have a cold. The only plus is that there is more daylight. I can tell that I am older...I just can't tolerate the cold like I once did. I am so happy my car has heated seats!!

Hiya everyone! :surfweb:

Its snowing here again all day.:scared1: They say this weekend is suppose to be warmer? Probably will be, I am working.

Just got off the phone with WDW and switched some dates. We will check in on July 31 (thursday) and out on Aug 16th. (sat). So we are set. With my bounceback offer and AAA It is actually cheaper now (before ap rates?) than last year. :woohoo: We will be at CR 31>10 & poly 10 > 16. The CR is totally not open the week of the 10th.

TP2, we probably still miss you. Hang in there with the kids.

EE22, I we borrow your civil war heater? Last nite at 3am our house was 55 degrees. :scared1: Seems the furnance is on vacation?:rolleyes1

Tomar & mouseaddicts can we borrow some rain to wash away some of this salt. My silver suv looks white.:sad2:

mky:cutie:

Still bitter cold here in the Great White North as well. The wind chill has been killer this past week. It is so cold, the horn on my car sounds sick because it is probably frozen.

I will have to see what else I can get for ADRs. We are going with friends and I don't want to tie them down with too many reservations, but I can see everyone's point.

Both kids came home from school today because they were not feeling well. DD12 looks really ill and is not able to eat...I hope it does not turn into anything with vomiting....I hate that the most. I always start to feel sick because they are. I know it is all in my head. But when they were little very vomitting spell landed us in the hospital for IV fluids since they are so little. I think it anxiety from that.

Plus being a working mom, I have to deal with my work calendar when they are not feeling well. As it is, I have to go back in for 11pm tonight (I usually work 7:30 -4:30 and I did today) because I have to present some training material at our plant meeting. Maybe I could work till 2am and then stay home with them tomorrow...:faint: Never mind..any work I would do would be a mess I am sure.

I will probably just bring work home instead, just in case? It is times like these that make the juggling act seem impossible. :scared:

We shall see...

Candi, Hope they are doing better soon. Keep pushing small amounts of fluid and hang in there.

Your getting closer.

mky:cutie:

Thanks MKY - I'm on it already.

I always try to remember how lucky we are. When they were both really sick one year - they were both in the hospital one day apart - there was a baby in room with us when it was only DD9 admitted and the baby had Spina Bifita (SP?). I appreciated that my kids would get better and be home bugging me in no time. It could always be worse.

I just worry too much about them when they are sick, like every mother does. :grouphug:

I only have 43 days to go.

Candi - wishing you the best on getting the kiddos well! As a working mom, I can fully appreciate what you are saying about juggling the work schedule & sick kids! I work in Atlanta, which is approximately 55-60 miles from my house, so my commute is a nightmare!!! :headache: When I have a sick kid, I try to just flip my schedule & work from home. It's always bad when they call me at the office to say I have to come pick one up .... Hope yours are better soon! :grouphug:

Good luck getting some ADRs too! Better to have them & not use them .... than need them & can't get them!

I'm getting ready for spin class this morning ...... :scared: I haven't been in a couple weeks b/c of surgery & weather ......... Wish me luck that I won't fall off the bike! :rotfl: I'm determined to get significant weight off my body before July!

Oh weather ......... the rain should be south of us today, but I just saw the 5-day forecast & they're prediciting the temp to be 60 on Monday! That's just crazy ....... it's still January, right?

:surfweb: Hi, we just got our airline reservations for July 8-15th! Havent decided:confused3 which moderate hotel to choose, it POFQ vs. CSR so are actual WDW planning is still in its infancy

Negative 17 here this morning:scared1:

EE22- Your having a worst winter then any of us !!:scared1: I Hope that Spring comes early for the "Field Of Dreams" thats for sure !!
Hang in there !!....in a couple of more months Im sure ....."the big Thaw" will start for ya !!pixiedust: :beach:

Tomar: I agree with you. EE22 is having the worst winter out of any of us. I don't like the winters we have, I would never survive there.:rotfl:

Guzzi: I have stayed at both resorts you mentioned. I will give you the facts. CSR is very large and spread out, POFQ is MUCH smaller and easy to navigate. The food court at CSR is much larger and offers a more upscale selection of food than POFQ, downside is you have to pay an automatic 10% gratuity at CSR in the food court because they bring you drinks. Good luck deciding.

EE22: I am going by the days, not dates but I though I messed up somewhere because the days were not lining up right. Then I realized it was leapyear. Everything makes sense now.

MKY: Sorry we will miss you . I was hoping we would overlap. Worst part with the kids, it is not mine. It is one that I watch (to make extra Disney funds) that is making me nuts. She won't go potty for me but mom insists she is potty trained. Keeps pooping in her pants.:headache: I am not getting paid enough for it, thats for sure.

Mouseaddicts: 60 miles to work each day!!!!:scared1: How long does that take? In NY, it would take at least 1 1/2 hours each way. That is insane.

Well, I added another day to our trip. I have to change our sigy...

So I have been crunching numbers and I was getting nervous that this trip would not happen, between the wedding and needing the roof. Well, they just announced the economic stimulus plan and we will get back $2100. Our trip is on!:woohoo: :woohoo: :yay: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :yay: :woohoo: :woohoo:

I will second (or 3rd) the vote that EE22 has the worst winter weather of the group! I would turn into an instant popsicle at -17!!!

My AM commute is 2 1/2 hours and my PM commute is 1 1/2 hours - total of 4 hours each day, round trip. Yep, lots of fun! :thumbsup2 That's why I get to work from home 2 days a week now. :goodvibes

We're also excited about the economic stimulus refund. Haven't read everything yet, but looks like a nice bonus for our household! I'd love to say it will be going to Mickey, but I think DH will get his long awaited big screen TV with it. :happytv: We know exactly what we plan to purchase, but just haven't saved up the $$$ yet - we don't do credit cards, so it's cash or nothing for us. :cutie:

TOMAR - how is the Perfectlyprincess: fairing through the winter months? I know she was sicky-poo a month or so ago. Is she all better now?

Hiya everyone!

Yes, EE22 gets the worse winter award. Is it feburary yet?:upsidedow

EE22, the strangest things happen out at your school. Was it your classroom?

TP2, glad things worked out. :dance3: Sorry we don't overlap. Sometimes there is a fine line when talking to mom's about "an issue". Potty training is a touchy subject (and messy;) ). Hang in there. Sounds like the little one has a good advocate (you) on there side.

Mouseaddicts, WOW that is some commute. I am about 6 blocks from my hospital.:wizard: Is 60 good or not for january? We won't see that for another 2-3 months. Right now we are at a balmy 6.

Candi, 43 days that is just over a month:cool1:

Tomar, Hope all is well with your princess, and soon you will get to see her. Are you well? How is your breathing in this weather?

Guzzi, happy planning! Which flavor appeals to you? Southern or caribean?

Everyone have a great nite, happy planning mky:cutie:

It's negative 9 and dropping here. :scared1: I'm not sure how it could get colder but it is suppose to. It's suppose to be colder tonight than last night. -18 to -20 depending on who you watch. With wind chills...even colder.

Several schools closed since the bus fuel turns to gel in this weather. My room reached 68 degrees today with human body heat too.

I had 3 blankets last night...tonight will be 4-5 and my Eeyore fur that's all I know.:rotfl:

When we hit 20 it's gonna feel like summer.
Break out the shorts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes...deer crashing through the window of the school is just not normal.
The poor deer that ran through the window..it ended up in one of our math classrooms:teacher: DD and DS both have the teacher and she was working in her room. Poor thing....both of them were scared. It then tried jump through another window and broke its nose. It was sad:guilty: It was the talk of the town. And, at a school close by there was a huge fight with baseball bats and that didn't even make the news. :confused3

That classroom is down the hall from me so it wasn't near mine. The kids thought the deer would have gone completely nuts in my Disney room.

TOMAR - how is the Perfectlyprincess: fairing through the winter months? I know she was sicky-poo a month or so ago. Is she all better now?

Mouseaddiicts- she is doing much better :goodvibes since being DXed with Mono:scared: ....she catches a cold so fast now...but is coming back very well...it will take at least 5 to 6 months before she is really back to full strength though the Doc says:angel: Thank you for asking :goodvibes

:

MKY-Thank you for asking....other than getting alittle heart skip now and then..Im feeling ok this winter....SSSHHH....I shouldn`t say that too loud after last year:scared1: .. right?:rotfl:

Tomar: I agree with you. EE22 is having the worst winter out of any of us. I don't like the winters we have, I would never survive there.:rotfl:

...

OK...so we`re all in agreement ....we`re all wishing EE22 the WARMEST feb. on record !!!!!!!:beach: Think summer EE22 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!:goodvibes
I hate winter !!! Just can`t take the cold anymore (my bones are gettng old  )....but thinking of how brutal cold EE is having it in the field of dreams this year:scared: ...Im trying not to complain too much ;) ...yu and I have the same weather TP...yes !:)

EE22: The coldest day we have had this winter was 17 degrees. They had warnings all over the news for like 5 days before we had the cold one. Then, it only lasted for one day and 2 days later it was in the 50's and 60's. We are definately spoiled here because when it hits 34 degrees we have every hat, scarf, mittens, and I double up on the kids coats.:rotfl: I would never, ever survive your winters. I complain living here that I want less of a change in the temperature.

MKY: Theres always next year right! Maybe our trips will overlap next year and we will get together.

I am furious  because I just had to fill the same perscription for DD3 that DD9 needed when we were in Florida last year. At Disney, through Turner Drugs, it cost us $288:scared1: . The same script here, through CVS with our insurance was $5. I get home and check the CVS website and they deliver prescription drugs. They also have locations in Orlando. Be warned everyone: If you need a prescription and do not have a car, DON'T USE TURNER DRUGS. My insurance company told me to call them and see if they will reimburse some of the money because they overcharged by so much. It is really sad that they take such advantage of people when they are in a terrible situation. Alright, enough ranting!

Mousaddicts: I cannot believe that you have such a long commute. I guess it is comparable to the people by me working in Manhatten. The money is a lot more (probably double or triple) but the cost and headache of commuting is a huge sacrifice. You deserve Contempory with the MK view.:worship:

TP2- OMG:scared1: That is terrible about the RX`s in Orlando ! You should call and see if you can get re-imbursed !
Commute- DS takes the Academy bus into Manhattan every day from New Jersey...it is the same distance from here to the city ...as from LI to the city I would assume ...and it IS a trip:headache: ...but the money is more and in the building line....that`s where the jobs are !! ;)

Tomar: My girlfriend works in the city and lives in Port Jefferson. Do you know where that is? Pretty far out on Long Island to work in the city. She lived in the city until she got married and had kids but the money is so good she still does it and her husband takes care of the 3 kids. I understand why your DS does it but I definately do not envy him.

Yes TP...I know where Port Jefferson is ;) .....when we were deciding where to live when we were moving out of our Borough...we were looking in LI also back then....We have family out by you too:goodvibes ...Mr. Tomar and I felt that we were better off here in New Jersey...not because we didn`t love LI ...but for the fact that Mr. Tomar DROVE into the city... and bucking the LIE eveyday would be a killer thats for sure....anyway...alot of our family have since moved here in NJ from Brooklyn after we did !!
We just go up to the Holland tunnel from here in NJ and your in the city :goodvibes The bus though ....is another story !!!!!!!:earseek: It makes a gazillion stops along the way....hense..DS has to leave at 5 in the morning
It`s so funny though....when the bus pulls in ...it`s full of people that do the same thing every day...I guess you have to do.. what you have to do to provide for your family these days ....this government money is looking good to alot of people thats for sure !!!:cloud9:
