Happy New Year!!party:

We found Scrooge by accident when we went to Donald's Tree Lot and he was leaving and Donald was coming out so we stood in line twice to get him after Donald. DD was good about passing up a few characters since we were heading towards a ride or event. I was proud of her...in other years she would have had a hissy fit. She was thrilled to find the Beast! We waited this summer for him with no luck. Caribell (sp) Cow was out and we missed her, but we were heading to BTMRR and that was our mission. We should have gone out and looked when we waited for Daisy Duck, but we wanted to ride SM so I didn't bring it up. We moved on. The lines for characters by the end of the week were insane!

Meals: everywhere we ate was great. Crystal Palace, Breakfestarous, 1900 Park Faire and Boma are all great breakfast food. I prefer Boma for breakfast, but I like breakfast food more. 1900 Park Faire is good and not very crowded where the others are busier...except Boma. We ate later breakfasts this trip except for Park Faire and all were still excellent.

Crystal Palace dinner was great..first time there. DD and I still love Liberty Tree for dinner even though we didn't get there this time. DS wouldn't not have liked the food there at all!

Le Cellier was very good, but we went early and I believe that's the key to good service and a timely meal. Chefs de France was mobbed this time so I get what you and Tomar mean about this place. The French onion soup was excellent though. It's loud in there. The decorations were lovely though.

Counter service at Earl of Sandwich can't be beat. Yummy! GREAT coffee and FREE refills:woohoo:

The boys enjoyed Rain Forest Cafe' at Animal Kingdom and Hollywood and Vine was yummy for the Fantasmic! dinner package. Sci Fi was also excellent. Love their milk shakes. I should have just had that!

I already miss the fresh pineapple. I swear I ate an entire pineapple each meal;)

DD and I for the most part were sun up till sundown this trip. Being cooler made that easier. I am pooped!! I have a nasty cold too from being worn out.

The car was great. Still like the busses to the parks. AKL has awesome bus service, but we all agree getting to DTD is so much faster and easier by car.

Hi everyone,

Christmas was great. Can't believe it is all over. Things were really busy after being sick. I had a lot of catch up to do. So glad everyone seemed to have a wonderful holiday. Tomarr: so glad you got to spend time with your princess. Must also be nice to get a good night sleep again. DD2 still keeps me up at night.

MKY: Thanks for all of the home remedies. I was definately a bit dehydrated but once I was able to get tea and Gatorade in I felt much better.

EE22: Didn't know about the flu scare until now. Seems that it always works out that way for my family too. We are ALWAYS so healthy. I have to say though that we have gotten sick for the last three years at Christmas. Also, on vacation this summer we ended up at the clinic. DD2 was running 103 temperature. Never fails. Always get sick at the worst times. Glad it all worked out. I live for Cold Ease.

The flu is hitting Iowa hard. I think about 10 staff members had it over break. They all say it hits hard and then it takes days to recover even though the nasty part is very short. We were extremely lucky that we weren't down and out. Someone was watching over us that's for sure.

I do have one nasty cold though that's taken days to recover from. I know it's just because I was run down when we headed home and there were loads of sick children coughing while we were there. I'm lucky I didn't get the black plague!

I'm in the countdown mode with you all since we won't be going this summer:sad1: I will have to live through you guys.

Hiya everyone!:wave2:

Hope everyone is getting back to normal. We are very busy at the hospital, so i know there is a lot of Gastro, and flu out there.

Vader:darth: is now 14 weeks old. And losing the puppy fur. :guilty: Looks like a mini german shepherd. His ears are staying up now. Weighs in at about 30# already. I am black and blue all over from him teething on my arms. We start puppy school next week. :dog:

We are enjoying the 40 and 50 degree weather here, but they are saying winter will return this week.

Have a great weekend! :cheer2: mky:wizard:

Hi Guys:goodvibes
Well today`s temp. was a whopping 72 Degrees here in NJ !!!!:cool2:
I think it was a record for this time of the year
But knowing that it`s January.....Im sure that tomorrow is going to be in the 40`s ....that`s why everyone is getting sick....including yours truly:sick:

MKY- Sounds like Vader is growing very fast.....must be the wonderful family he has;)

EE22- "Welcome aboard my countdown to July" !:flower3:

TP2- glad that you guys are all better and you had a great Christmas !:santa:

Hi all!!
MKY: I think we need a pic soon of Vader:goodvibes

In honor of our vacation and everyone forgetting to have a Mickey bar, I stopped by the grocery store after my massive load up at Wally World (Walmart) and bought some Dove ice cream bars and we all enjoyed them with Disney music playing on DD's computer. :mickeybar :mickeybar

DS informs me that they are far better than the Mickey bars in the World:scared1: how shocking....

:lmao: :lmao:

half the price too....

but, it doesn't have the same feel that sitting on the balcony of AKL does:confused3

:darth: Vader will probably be 6 yr old by time, I figure out how to post his picture. :rotfl:

70 degrees! WOW Tomar that is something! Wondering what it was in florida? This is the weirdest weather. Makes you really think about globabl warming. Sis keeps saying El Nino^ And that usually means less raining in WDW in the summer.;)

Our Walmart here on occassion even carries "mickey bars". But I always prefered the mickey ice cream sandwich.:cutie: Sis is allergic to chocolate:scared1: So its the itchadoozie for her!;)

MKY: Allergic to CHOCOLATE!!!:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: That is just horrible. Can't imagine life without it.:goodvibes

TOMAR: I may be on your countdown clock with EE22. I am trying to work on DH but I am not sure it is in the cards this year. Hoping for free dining again. Something so wonderful we just can't refuse.

EE22: We didn't have any Mickey bars either while there. There was so much dessert with the dining plan we used most of our snacks on popcorn and beverages.popcorn::

I can't imagine life with no chocolate. With all my allergies, that one would really hurt!!

I read somewhere when someone had free dining they never used their snacks because they were always so full and on one of their last days they loaded up and had 3 bags of stuff to take home.:rotfl:

We will be there Agu 17 - 26!!! This will be the longest trip to the "World" for us. We usually go for about 7 days...just stating to think about dining.

We have NEVER been to WDW in the summer...please tell me it won't be THAT bad. My husabnad is worried about the humidity. I think we will be ok because everything is airconditioned. :confused3

You should be fine. Since there are cold beverage available in many, many places. Also, if it is *too much* mid afternoon (crowds/ heat) you can go back to your resort for a rest / swim:beach: and maybe even a pre-dinner cocktail:drinking1

We always go in the summer. We have a wonderful time. It was easier to pack for then our Dec trip. Shorts, shorts and more shorts!

:surfweb: Hiya everyone!:wave2:

We got a "code" for March, 30% off resorts. Of course we went 2005 march popcorn:: Now if I can figure out how to get another one for August. I can't wait for the end of January, we should get an Ok for vac. request. Then I plan on full planning mode.:yay: So please help and join my countdown. Then I will join your's next time.
TP2 & EE22 > just think of it as you have a longer countdown, for now. Tomar> your down to 6 months !!!:cheer2:

Sis is sending me some pic's of Vader :darth: So I will email them, sorry don't know how to post pic's here.

Its supposed to snow tommorrow. I think winter might be on the way.

MKY: Seems like we always get code for times that we cannot go. I am still hoping for free dining again for August even though DH does not want to go back at all. I am hoping the girls will wear him down because they really want to go back. Wish me some pixiedust: for the next couple of months. I figure that last year that promotion came out around the end of March so I have a couple of months to break him into the idea. I would even go light on park days and do the water parks this time around. I figure with character meals and the water parks we would have a wonderful time and still get to relax which is what he wants.

Hi everyone !!!!:goodvibes
Well....we`re almost getting to the 5 months plus mark:banana:
In a few more days I`ll be making our ADR`s for the Summer of `07 YIPPPPEEEEE !!!!!!!!!:yay:

TP2- ....Im sending you...and the girls... some pixie dust as well
pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

MKY- I`ll be starting to look for a car rental deal soon too....this part can be fun....but....only when it goes smooth :flower3: ...I always feel like Ive accommplished something BIG... when I find a lower price:goodvibes
I just don`t want it to turn into a daily..... hunting mission
