ok, just got off phone with a very nice cm from grand gatherings. I asked about codes and he said possible, but he doesnt think so that June is almost booked solid until after the 4th. BUT!!!he said based on scheduling try calling back Sunday, that cms are scheduled heavy then and several days next week. He said maybe something in the works? or could just be 2007 rates being released, he didnt know, but Sunday would be the day to call. Heres hoping!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

You may be on to something! I just got off the phone with my sister's friend who works in CRO. My DSis was supposed to get the info for me but her friend called me directly. She does not know when the AP rates are coming out but states she feels there is something in the works because they have her working a lot of hours "next week", starting on Sunday. She works part-time and is scheduled for more than her normal number of hours she usually works in a week. So who knows! I don't want to get anyone's hopes up but it sounds like two confirmations on this thread. Although there was that other thread regarding CM's were put on alert that never came to frutrition. My DSis friend offered to give me her CM discount for the night we need before our DVC stay and the two nights after DVC. How generous was that! I didn't take her up on the offer as I felt uncomfortable. I only met her once and spoke to her on the phone today. Now I'm thinking I could shoot myself in the head! What was I thinking? My rooms are booked for August. I'm just on the look out to save additional money if I can if APs come out. By reading this thread, I think I got caught up in all of the energy here and I am hoping everyone gets there June APs that they are hoping for!

As far as the BRP, although I never articulated it on these boards, I did not like the program for the simple reason that I could not make reservations within 60 days. I did not renew our APs during BRP because of this. No biggie- we just did not take those extra short, quick last minute trips to the parks when we were in the area for business or found a cheap airfare to visit my DSis in Tampa. We actually ventured over to the dark side (Universal) for a few trips and I am hoping my DS now has that out of his system! Now that we bought DVC, we are definitely taking more trips per year and I would be purchasing an AP with or without the BRP. However, if the BRP program was still in place today, it would mess me up because I am not purchasing our APs until we get to WDW guest services as we have one day tickets from the package we purchased this past January (we wanted to try the DP). I will use the one day tickets as credit towards our APs and will pick them up before we check-in at our hotel. Under the BRP program, I would not be able to reserve any rooms without a voucher. It would have forced me to purchase at least on AP without getting the credit from my one day pass. I can see pros and cons on both sides. I really don't think the elimination of the BRP program is why the discounts, if any, are being announced so late. Disney has lots of other things that factor into their decisions. Also, Florida residents are also waiting on discounts and they were never part of the BRP program (at least I don't think they were.)

Anyway, I truly wish you all the best of luck in getting the discounts they are hoping for. In the meantime, enjoy your planning!

Disneyhappy! :thumbsup2 Thanks for reporting back! :) :wizard: I think with the 2 reports that you really might be on to something. If not ap rates than florida rates? Wish I had a florida address, for more than 1 reason. ;)

Think we need to all hang in here a little longer and stay calm. :grouphug: We are all alot closer to our trips :teeth: and maybe the rates?

Disney needs to build a couple more hotels a little further away than the All Stars / Pop Century and maybe label them "Sub-Value Level" or "Slum Level"....which is right below "Value Level". Maybe make the room about 150 sq feet with no TV and a community bath and charge $89 per night....lol

:teleport:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Well speedy, they already have that it's the tent sites over at FW!!!! :rotfl2:

Today I finally gave up and cancelled our ressies for June 18 to June 28 at BC which we made in December. With the price of gas I decided we couldn't take to take a chance and end up paying full rack less AAA :guilty: and exceed our budget. We got a nice suite at Double Tree instead with Mousesavers rate. Good Luck to all, I hope the codes still come out for ya. :)

Do you think a rolling on your back laughing :rotfl2: was really necessary???

I am sorry if this offends you but I really do not think posts like this belong on a code waiting thread. This is supposed to be a nice place to come and wait for codes. Laughing at those of us that are still waiting is unnecessary and rather unkind :sad2:

Yes... I liked it.

Your post didn't offend me, but I find it interesitng that THIS is your "kind" apprach..

And just because I like him....

(If smilies offend you, please feel free to put me on your ignore list... I live them :cheer2: )

Well, has anyone called tonight or are we all waiting and sleeping in until Sunday? :hyper:
I'd like to sleep until Sunday!!

I called...nothing.

Please don't flame me, I am really just wondering....

I have seen people talking a lot about Florida resident rates. We own a condo in Panama City Beach, Florida but live in Cincinnati, Ohio. Since we have a Florida address would we be eligible for Florida resident rates?

They clamped down on this a few years ago... According to AllEarsnet.com this is what you need for Florida Resident rates and tickets

In order to take advantage of the Florida Resident Offers at Walt Disney World you must show proof of Florida Residency:

VALID Florida Drivers License

VALID Florida State issued ID card (MUST have Florida address)

VALID Voters Registration Card with corresponding picture ID

VALID Florida Based Military ID - Florida Military Bases

Pensacola Naval Air Station
Hurlburt Field Air Force Base
Eglin Air Force Base
Tyndall Air Force Base
Panama City Coastal Systems Station (Navy)
Jacksonville Naval Air Station
Mayport Naval Station
MacDill Air Force Base
Patrick Air Force Base
Miami Coast Guard Station
Clearwater Coast Guard Air Station
Homestead Air Reserve Base
Key West Naval Air Station
United States Southern Command (Miami)

VALID College ID (MUST be a Florida college)

9/05: Utility statements are no longer accepted as proof of residency.

Each adult in the party is required to have a Florida ID.

Florida Resident tickets are only available to actual Florida Residents and can not be purchased for out of state family or friends.

So you pretty much need an ID now.... If you own property you can get a Florida ID that is NOT a DL replacement.... Go check their website...

I don't want to sound like a nay-sayer, but I'm not sure we should get excited over the CMs being scheduled heavier starting sunday. I would imagine that would be more in line with a more aggresive marketing campaign, not code releases for AP holders....Has increasing CMs hours ever predated a code for APs before?

I know there are alot of AP holders out there, but I still can't imagine that Disney would need to add alot more bodies than the already large number on hand for the coming summer season.

:surfweb: good morning! :badpc:

No changes on web site. Having trouble getting on passholder site this am. So haven't been there yet.

Kinda hope the hype about sunday is it, cause I am off that day. :wizard:

:surfweb:
Checking in...No changes here...I can never get into the Passholder site until after 6am. Off to jump in the shower!
:wizard:

'mornin' all. I know the most popular theory is Sunday, but I'm here just in case... Wouldn't it be great if we all got a happy surprize?

Has Disney "historically" released codes on a Sunday?

Is it "typical" for them to ramp up CMs for a new code?

We know MNSSHP & MVMCP tix are already on sale, so that's not why the increased # of CMs. Free dining promo is about to expire. Are there other reasons for the increased CM schedule???

Oh yeah - good morning!
