 I searched and the official Disneyland site doesn't have the hours up for June. Does anyone else know where else they might be? We'll be there June 13-18 and I am trying to plan PS based on the park hours. I think we have a couple grad nights in the there so I am thinking a late dinner in DTD might be good. Any help on park hours would be appreciated. Also on that week's AP blocked dates.

:thanks:

Probably will not be posted for another month or so. Check past years here:

:thanks:

I did find, on this site, :woohoo: projected hours and grad nights. By all the hype, I was thinking Disneyland would be closing at 6 pm on grad nights but it looks like 9 pm. :thumbsup2 That's GREAT news. That will give us some downtime to enjoy our 2 bedroom at the GCV but also plenty of park time too. :cloud9: Pool, relax, and maybe some DTD. I am liking what I am seeing. I know these hours are "unofficial".

Now trying to decide on PS. I was set on the BB for lunch but the prices are OUTRAREOUS! :faint:

Gotta research if Disneyland is still doing the extra hour in the morning thing. :confused3

Any help would be appreciated. I am super behind on planning. :hyper:

Just remember MM won't happen on the 17th due to Grad night the night before.

I am so bloody confused now! I must have wrote down the DIS' unoffical June hours wrong because it makes it look like Mon and Tues are grad nights, not Wed and Thurs. :upsidedow

Correct the 13th and 14th will have longer hours. I would guess 8-midnight or 8-11. The 16th will most likely be 8am-9pm and 17th 9am-9pm. Friday the 18th will be 9am-midnight.

:thanks: So is it safe to assume that the hours for 6/13 and 6/14 won't be 9-9 since the grad nights are 6/16 and 6/17? And does Disneyland usually close at 9 pm on a grad night?
From "The Scoop on Grad Nights at DLR in May and June" - www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2298400

June 13 and 14 are not grad nights. The official grad night web site is in the link above. The park hours will not be 9-9 unless Disney does that for other reasons. Often they do not go to full summer schedule until around the 18th-20th.

From the link above:
How do Grad Nights affect regular visitors?

The events are chaperoned and thus attendees are not allowed to freely roam the area around DLR. The attendees are only allowed to come in on buses (no individual drivers) and are guided into the parks and are not allowed to leave the parks until closing at 6AM. At that point attendees are guided back to their buses. Thus there are no issues with high schoolers being disruptive to guests outside the parks.

Grad Nights do impact park hours for regular visitors. Typically on Grad Nights the parks close early - DL closes at 9PM and DCA closes at 6PM. With the parks closing earlier it also means that any night time entertainment such as Fantasmic and fireworks will probably not be scheduled.
All the questions you are asking are already answered in the grad night link I created above.

Thank you for the info. I really try to read the mega-threads but they can be overwhelming and info is easily missed. :flower3:

9-9 are still good hours IMHO and again, will give us some downtime. :thumbsup2

Now onto summer crowd levels. I haven't been to Disneyland during the summer since 2005.

:woohoo: Perfect, thank you! It seems, from what I am reading, that grad nights don't effect day time crowds.

Historically that's what I believe to be true.

This year I do think there's a chance that daytime crowds may be somewhat less on Grad Nite days versus non Grad Nite days because World of Color likely will not be playing to the public on Grad Nites, while a whole lot of people will likely want to visit DCA for World of Color, which will probably be playing on your non-Grad Nite nights.

Of course, if Grad Nites didn't affect daytime crowds last year, when everyone wanted to see the tweaks to Fantasmic, then it's possible that the same will hold true this year.

And if World of Color does make for incredibly large crowds, people who want to avoid crowds might choose Grad Nite days, making them crowded too. There's no way of knowing! I think there's a pretty good chance that WoC is going to make things a lot different than last year, though.

Great insights. I keep forgetting about WoC. :headache: I am excited to see it but if it opens the weekend of 6 11/12, it could make that week way crowded.

I did check the So Cal/So Cal Select AP block out dates and they are blocked 4/3 dates out of our 6 which might prove helpful too.

There are SO many variables. :surfweb:

FWIW, Fantasmic usually isn't shown on Grad Nites.

The Grad Nites during rentayenta's visit (Wed., June 16, and Thurs., June 17) will likely have fireworks at 8:45pm.

In June 2008, there were fireworks at 8:45pm on the Grad Nites on June 11, 12, & 19 (2008).

Good to know, thank you. We are hoping to catch F! once during our trip. And I hope they show the fireworks on grad nights. Having only 3 chances to see them makes me nervous. :hyper:

I was rather unclear in my post--I was trying to say that there were people who wanted to see the nighttime tweaks to Fantasmic! but Grad Nite days were reportedly still busy, even though Fantasmic! was NOT showing. So by that logic, it's possible that Grad Nite days will also be busy when WoC is playing. :flower3:

Hmmm...We were there last June 11-17. There was one grad night during our stay. They actually showed Fantasmic that night after the park closed. We happened to drive down Ball road around 10pm and saw the lights, fireworks/lasers, etc. We were surprised that it went on. So I'm just wondering if they actually will not show WOC during a Grad night this year. Ya never know...they may. At any rate, it didn't get crazy busy until the Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday before the So Cal APs were due to be blocked out. The 17th was an absolute nut house! That was the day I saw grown men leaping over babies in strollers! :scared1: Crazy!
