June - hottest part of the day

Hello!

We are going to WDW at the end of June. I plan on spending 1/2 day in the parks and then go back to the resort. I was just wondering what time of the day does the heat start getting unbearable? I was figuring on doing rides/attractions until lunchtime, eat in the park and then leave. Or does it get hot even before then.

If we decide to go back to the parks in the evening, what time does it start to cool down?

Sorry for all the questions, but it sure will help with my planning.

Thanks a bunch!

You guys are great!

As far as being unbearable, I'd say that depends on you and what you are used to. For us, it was never unbearable, but we are used to Texas heat!

I'd say that between the hours of 1:00 and 3:00 were the hottest, but around 4:00 it would rain for a little while and that seemed to cool things of quite a bit, as well as clear out the park a lot!

Remember, if you never spend any afternoon time in a park, you'll miss all the parades, except Spectro. IMHO, the afternoon parades are a must see, at least once.

Have fun planning!

florida is like anywhere else...the hottest part of the day is generally between about 1 and 4 pm. By that time of the year, you should experience afternoon to early evenings showers that might cool it off somewhat...disney has alot of inside attractions that you can enjoy during the hottest parts of the day though; which is nice....As far as unbearable heat, I guess that just depends on the individuals in your group...we are from St.louis area and find the Florida summer to be very similar to our own...very hot and very humid...so it doesn't really bother us at all....on the other hand, I've seen guest from the upper east coast that looked like they were just dying in the heat of day...

We are from mid-state New York. It's gets hot and humid here, but I'm not as hot as Florida. I guess we'll just have to play it by ear and see how we can tolerate it. I plan on bringing water and one of those fan spritzers with us. And maybe a nice cool washcloth to rub occassionally around our necks, faces, etc. And like you said, if we save the indoor attractions for that time of the day, that will help.

Thanks for the input!

also, that's a great time to take a break and head back to the resort for a swim; especially if you have little ones....comfortable clothes, lots of water and the mister fans and you will be fine....enjoy!!

I've lived in Texas 10 years-never got used to this heat-only nice thing is that the climate is very similar to WDW! Although it is hotter in the afternoon, I find late morning to be even more unbearable. That's because of the humidity factor. Maybe it's just me, but it seems much more humid around 10-11AM than afternoon, so I tend to feel the heat more then.

I agree that the humidity is worse than the heat, but it also depends on what you are used to. Like everyone else said get a mister fan, drink lots of water, take advantage of shady spots and mix in some indoor shows or longer type attractions instead of going from one quicky ride to another (especially those with long lines). Oh.. and don't forget to use fast pass. It is a life saver to avoid standing (what I think is the worst thing) in those hot lines)

Tom Sawyer Island at the MK is a nice and fun way to cool off too. :)
