June comes before August & the APs will still be valid! I think we're done here!

That looks fun! I know Nicholas would like to go to SWW someday. Alyssa, not so much. In fact, probably not at all. :rotfl: Tomorrow I'll have to show them all of your pix from WWoHP and SWW.

Tammi, between 8 AM and 4:30 PM we stood in 7 lines, saw the parade, and ate lunch. You really do have to go in planning not to do anything other than stand in line.

Not sure what we are doing today. DS said MK.

DH and DS went to the arcade last night. I fell asleep while they were gone. I woke up at 11 PM and didn't think they had come back yet, but they were both asleep on the pull-out couch. They are still in there. Apparently SWW takes a lot out of a person! :rotfl:

Loved the pictures from both Dark Sides, Elizabeth!

I don't know that I will go to WWoHP. I think Kristin might choose to go there as an offshoot of a WDW trip, but from what you described it doesn't have enough appeal to me to warrant taking time out of my relaxing Disney vacation. :rotfl:

SWW looked like fun. But, again... I don't think I would take the time to do all that standing in line. Did anyone else notice that some of these men connected with Star Wars are getting old?!?!?

Elin, we actually enjoyed the SWW stuff (I liked it more than I expected to). Peter Mayhew is 66, and he looked like the heat was getting to him. They put the celebs in tent things around Echo lake and it is HOT! They have a ceiling fan thing and that's it. If I was famous I would be demanding an INDOOR greeting area. :snooty: I will say the FastPass system for the autographs worked very well.

No, I definitely did NOT! Because if that were the case, that would mean that I am getting old. :snooty:

Great updates!

We took Brandon to SWW last year, although he loved seeing the characters from a distance he didn't want to get close enough for any autographs, I guess that was better for us, no lines, he LOVED the parade.

Hmmmmm, your picts make me think that our next trip (the one DH says will happen in 4 years :lmao::lmao::lmao: over my dead body!) we will have to do around SWW.

We've always gone in Sept/Oct but May/June sounds just as good!!! The boys LOVE SW (as does DH) and are all pretty miffed that Star Tours will be closed for our trip. Poor DH has wanted to ride it since we went in 06 and has never gotten to...looks like 2010 won't be his year either!!!!

Star, there are LOTS of interesting people at SWW. There was a woman who had to be at least 60 wearing a child's Queen Amidala Halloween costume. It didn't even come to her knees, and the sleeves were at her elbows. Thank goodness she had clothes under it! :rotfl2:

Then there was a guy at the parade all in black like one of Darth Vaders officers. He wasn't a cast member, he was just a guy.

While we were waiting in line for Chewbacca we saw 2 women all dressed up and covered in blue body paint. They also were NOT cast members.

I guess it was good that we were here for the last weekend, because some of the merchandise is half price. But the limited edition DVC pins were sold out, so that was a bummer.

Yesterday we went to Epcot. We arrived right at 9 AM and DS went directly to "Sum of all Thrills". I told him he could ride by himself and make the design as crazy as he wanted.

On the way to Innoventions I stopped to look at pins. I remembered that there was something being released that I wanted, but I couldn't remember what it was. I was pleased to find the "Then and Now" spinner pin of If You Had Wings and Buzz Lightyear. When I was DS's age I rode If You Had Wings over and over. I also bought the 2010 Visa pin and a 2010 "School's Out!" for DS.

DS finished his first ride and jumped back in line to do it again. There really wasn't much of a wait. He had that thing flipping and rolling all over the place. DH and I were quite happy NOT to be in there with him. ;)

We grabbed FPs for Test Track, had breakfast at Sunshine Seasons, got a FP for Soarin', rode Test Track. We went over to Norway and rode Maelstrom. I bought a hat (the top of my head is SOOOO sunburned!), I got an almond pretzel.

It was almost empty in World Showcase, but it was HOT!!

DH and I did a wine flight of Reisling in Germany, but I didn't like any of those as well as I like the Selbach-Oster I have been getting in the restaurants. I had the '06 Kabinett Reisling last year. This year the restaurants have an '08 Kabinett and an '07 (I think) Spatlese.

DS got his pic with some characters (our idea more than his). I got a Grey Goose lemon slushie in France. We took a little quiz in the UK. By then it was tine for our Soarin' FPs so we rode that and then came back to the hotel to have a break before dinner.

Dinner at Flying Fish was, once again, FABULOUS.

Today is Magic Kingdom, and we are touring Bay Lake Tower. And we are adding on points. Shhh. Don't tell DH. He says we aren't adding on. But we are.

Bowl of berries for DS (it wasn't on the menu, but this was what he wanted)

Sigh. My beloved park bag is dying a slow death. I lined the bottom with packing tape so that part is holding up, but now the seam across the top has a BIG hole in it. DH says no need to unzip it, just jam things through the gaping hole. The hole got bigger and bigger over the course of the day yesterday. I don't think my bag will last another 6 days. I saw a bag that might be OK, but I don't have a very good track record for replacing my bag. I have 3 different bags at home that I bought to replace my bag, but none of them are quite right. So those bags are home, and my old raggy gray mini-backpack is here with me. :rolleyes1

I do think I will have to buy a new one. But it won't be as good as my old one.

Sounds like you are having a great time and I love seeing your pictures. I'm sorry about the park bag. Finding the perfect park bag is quite a challenge, I know!

Looking forward to your report of BLT.

Maybe you can get them to throw in a free DVC bag when you add on your points. ;) :thumbsup2 I know it won't be exactly what you want, but if it's free, what the heck!

Hi Elizabeth. Getting caught. up. Looks like you had a good time at Universal. I like the theming of the Bubba Gump restraunt.

Wow, also glad you got the electrical problem straightened out. And hope the little darlings next door are a wee bit more quiet today.:)

Guess what, I made an adr for Flying Fish for our Dec. trip!!

Love that picture of ds with the Pink Bear from Toy Story. I saw the stuffed on for sale in the park and thought it was so cute.

Also think you both did a great job drawing.

I know next year we will be there for the lst Star Wars Week end. I think we might go but I would probably be interesting in seeing the parade the most. Your pictures are awesome!!

Waiting to see about your tour today too.

Have fun and stay cool!!

They did throw in a bag, but it isn't a NICE bag suitable for park touring. It is like those fiber-y bags they give away free at Target or the grocery. No zipper, no pockets. Just a very basic tote.
Now, they did door prizes of nicer bags but I didn't win one. In fact, we didn't win anything at all. But we did add another 50 pts. at AKV. ;)

:scared1: Umm , I think I would have to pass on that too!

The day with all the people from Star Wars looks so cool! Oh maybe someday!

So are we going to be neighbors at BLT?

Yeah, that ride doesn't do much for me. But DS LOVES it and wants to do another Epcot morning so he can ride it again.
Star Wars was pretty fun, but it was hot. Wear a hat. Or carry an umbrella to keep the sun off.
No, we added at AKV not BLT. We toured the BLT model and it didn't do anything for me. We'll pop over to SSR tomorrow and sign our documents.

Maryann, you will love Flying Fish! :goodvibes

That's what I keep thinking as I look at pictures. We plan to stay there ONCE, sometime...no pressure on soon...but, I'm not even convinced that I'm interested in a full visit stay. I'm thinking 2 nights at the start or end as a split stay.

I figure the BLT hype is just another sign that different people like different things.
