That's what I keep thinking as I look at pictures. We plan to stay there ONCE, sometime...no pressure on soon...but, I'm not even convinced that I'm interested in a full visit stay. I'm thinking 2 nights at the start or end as a split stay.

I figure the BLT hype is just another sign that different people like different things.

The bathroom in the studio is WEIRD. The tub and toilet are together, then the sink is around the corner. But if you are washing your hands in the bathroom sink, the kitchen is behind you. So looking into this cubicle area, bathroom vanity on the left, kitchenette area on the right. It was bizarre.

In the one bedroom the bathroom still only has one sink. The single sink has been a struggle, so no way do I want to spend all those points and still only have one sink!

I think Hard Rock Hotel and I are going to go round and round. The room was paid in full before we arrived. I paid off the room charges with an AmEx gift card while we were still there. They have now put almost $500 in pending charges on DH's credit card. I called Chase and they read off the charges, and NONE of them make any sense. None of the totals match up with any of my records. They charged us the same exact amount twice, once in one chunk, then again in 2 different chunks. I have NO CLUE what they did or why, but if those charges go through I will be IRATE. The ONE charge that would have been valid was our breakfast on Thursday, and that doesn't appear to be on there!

Yeah, that ride doesn't do much for me. But DS LOVES it and wants to do another Epcot morning so he can ride it again.

I have to say Lizzy, Emma, Joe, Terry, Dorinda, Ralph & I LOVE Sum of All Thrills!!! We got Halley to try it with Joe and they did it as tame as could be and she said she'd do it again in the future but she didn't LOVE it. I'm hoping I can get DH to try it in July. Joe said he'd go with Emma as he doesn't want to go upside down and she's not tall enough to. I will ride with Lizzy and DH can design his own tame ride. Have you tried it at all? It is SOOOOOOO much tamer than it looks.

Good luck on a bag purchase!!! I bought a Travel Creek mini backpack that I like.

Hope the Hard Rock mess gets fixed without much hassle.

Bernadette, I did ride with him the first time and I wouldn't let him make it go upside down. It is better for him to go by himself, that way he won't be cranky.

I just got done showing my kiddos your HP and SWW pictures. Nicholas told me to tell you that I was right, he would like to go to SWW. As we were scrolling through all of the US character pictures I told him that he needed to have his picture taken just like DS did with all of the characters. He cracked up and put his foot down when we got to the Dora picture! Alyssa wants to see Woody Woodpecker!

I seriously can't figure out what Hard Rock did on the billing. I almost wonder if it should have been a credit and they put it through as another charge? Idiots.

It seems like transportation from BLT would be a pain.

Tammi, we made him get his pic with Dora because it will make Princess happy. And there was only one other family in line, so we were able to get the pic without waiting. That's also why he got his pic with Belle yesterday.

We are just back from dinner at The Wave. The Jiminy Cricket cake came out really cute, and it is tasty, too! Huge, but tasty. We each had a slice, we gave 4 slices to the people at the next table, and we easily have over half the cake left.

I woke up this AM feeling kind of off, and I am still feeling that way. I will post dinner & cake pics tomorrow. We are pondering going to AK, but we may just hang out until we go to sign our DVC add-on at 2 PM. Depends on how human I feel in the morning. I think it is just dehydration/exhaustion.

Eh, $10 off BLT (which is selling for $120), and $8 off AKV. There is a Disney Visa/America Airlines promo BUT you can't combine them. The discount with the Visa thing is $5 per point, plus a $300 AA gift card which = $11 per point for a 50 pt. add-on, BUT you don't get the gift card until you have made 9 payments. By the time we make 9 payments and wait for them to mail the card we'll be a couple of weeks from our next trip, and I can't wait that long to book the airfare.

Dinner at The Wave

OK, well, actually not so much. I was feeling really sick last night, and the restaurant is really dark so the camera required flash. The flash in my face was annoying so DH stopped with photos after the salad! nd really, it was a good salad, but nobody really wants to look at salad when you can look at CAKE!

The cake was 10", vanilla cake, lemon curd filling, buttercream covered with fondant. From the Contemporary Bakery. The fondant was a little tricky to slice through, but the cake was delicious!

I actually really like BLT. It reminds me of home, except without the puppies! LOL (And I guess my veiw at home is not that nice either! LOL) I think transportaion there is a huge plus.


How did your DS get such points on Buzz? I know the trick at Men in Black at Universal but not for Buzz......so is he willing to tell us?

You should TOTALLY add points at AKV!!

At BLT it seems like it would be a hike over to the main Contemporary to get on the monorail. And a hike to get to the bus stop. Is it not too bad?

I have to post in spurts because the hotel internet is squirrelly.

I am not sure how DS gets the max score on Buzz. He insists on riding by himself. I know there is one target on the robot's hand at the beginning of the ride that is 100,000 points. If you swivel round and shoot backinto the room you are coming out of some of those things are high points, too.

So, just to recap dinner...
I had a berry smoothie (which was very good), citrus avocado salad (also very good), and chicken and wild rice soup. I didn't care for the soup because it had mushrooms in it and it was a little bit spicier than I was looking for.

DH had the same salad, and the flat iron steak. He said it was different. He ate it, but I don't think he would order it again. Not to say it was bad, it just wasn't what he was expecting.

DS had the kid's linguini with red sauce, veggies (carrots & green beans) and fruit salad. He also had a gigantic vanilla milkshake that he drained.
