Yesterday we went to the Disney warehouse sale. They had a lot of Disneyland stuff. Each of my three boys found a shirt they liked but of course they were only 30% off, not 80%!

I missed your post this morning! Happy Mother's Day to you, too! I'm glad you found some stuff at the sale. I don't think we're going to drive up there again. We have PLENTY of stuff.

I printed out the return label for the Eccos. We hardly have any black ink so I am not sure the label is dark enough for UPS to accept the box.

I went all over town looking for sport sandals today. DSW, REI, Sports Authority, Nordstrom. Nothing. I ended up at The Walking Company. I bought those Ecco Yucatan sandals. I hope Bernadette comes back and tells me she LOVED wearing hers at WDW.

I talked to DH about switching some ADR to Flying Fish, or just adding another dinner on a night we were going to do CS. He likes Coral Reef, but their menu is pretty sparse. So we are debating.

Did I mention the crowd estimates are up for the first 6 days of our trip? "8" on EVERY DAY so far. That was NOT what I expected.

I saw some Teva sandals for DH yesterday, but I wasn't sure he would like them. I came home and told him about them, and he said he would like them. So I went to the store near our house and they didn't have his size. I will have to go by the location near work today and check. I should have bought them when I saw them, then returned them if he didn't like them. How many times will it take for that lesson to stick?

I guess I will poke around on the WDW site and see what sort of Flying Fish ADR I might be able to add.

Much to my delight I was able to reprint the shipping label for the Eccos once I got to work, so that shouldn't be an issue now.

I am really thinking I will cancel the Coral Reef ADR. We have it booked for 7 PM, which means we will be sitting in there past 9 PM. If I can book Flying Fish for around 6 PM we will be finished with dinner in time to hop the boat to Epcot and see IllumiNations.

Good. I was able to switch my ADR from Coral Reef to Flying Fish. That won't be as expensive as just adding Flying Fish to a night we don't have an ADR.

I also found the shoes for DH in the size I needed. I REALLY should have bought them yesterday. I WILL learn that lesson. BUY it when I SEE it the FIRST TIME! It did work out fine, but really, I should have just bought the shoes yesterday.

I thought I was over the whole gift basket thing, but I was looking on the Disney Florist site again today. Luckily they haven't really updated the offerings, so nothing caught my eye!

I called and made an ADR (well, whatever they call it) for Mythos at IOA, then I TRIED to make one for breakfast the next morning at the hotel but the lady said the restaurant will be closed that day. Seriously? That will be a huge pain in the tush! Not sure what we will do about breakfast since we are so unfamiliar with US/IOA.

24 days doesn't sound like such a long time!

It will be interesting! We're just staying at Hard Rock for one night, so I think lunch at Mythos and breakfast at The Kitchen will be the only TS meals we do.

Crowd Calendar says "8" for the first NINE days of our trip. Are you KIDDING ME? How can June be THAT much more crowded than August? I don't get it. Half the nation is still in school. So I guess the half that is out of school will all be at WDW? I can't recall ever seeing that many high numbers day after day after day when it isn't a holiday. Could this be the year we actually end up spending time at the resort?

Your trip is getting so close. I'm getting a case of add-on-itis. I want to add on a lunch ADR for our very last day. And the Wishes dessert party. The dessert party might send my husband over the edge, though. And I thought about a cake just because I like the cake thread. Are you getting a cake?

I might be a bit disgruntled if it really IS that crowded the whole time. Or maybe I won't think it is any different than the August crowds we are used to.

I have been tweaking this week. But I think I am finished. I can't find anything else to tweak.

I will tell you we would not do the dessert party again for $25 per adult. The desserts weren't THAT good! The view of Wishes was nice, but DH was mad because the railing was too wide for him to wrap the Gorilla pod around it. He actually went off by himself to try to get pics once the fireworks started, and DS and I sat with some friends who had a better table than we did!

We are getting a cake at dinner before the Wishes cruise. I am hoping NOT to take the cake on the boat. If the restaurant won't hold it I will pop down to Bell Services and see if they will hold it for me in their fridge, then we'll take a cab back to AKL after the cruise.

I read a thread some where that alot of schools are having to make up snow days this year. Some weren't getting out of school until the 3rd or 4th week of June. So maybe just maybe the crowd levels will be lower.

I have read the same thing. And the schools up north don't typically finish until later in June anyway. If it is super crowded we just won't go back again in June. Next year we will be buying new APs instead of working around the expiration of current ones, so we can go whenever.

I am back on my kick about the stupid CS dining plan. DH thinks we should add it and be done with it because it will simplify things. I need to look at the numbers again. We never buy dessert with lunch, so having it included isn't a benefit. Having 2 drinks included with breakfast is fine, but if we aren't saving any money then it doesn't really MATTER if we get 2 drinks. And we would use the snack credits for drinks and maybe ice cream, which means we would never get the full $4 out of any of them. So I guess the question is how much money would we lose in the name of convenience if we add the CS plan?

I *think* we would lose a minimum of $250 on the CS dining plan. It would probably be more. Convenience is not worth several hundred dollars.

At home I don't eat breakfast, I just drink coffee. We bring our own coffee to WDW and make it in the villa each AM. I start out eating breakfast at WDW, but by mid-trip I have hit the breakfast wall and I start skipping breakfast or just have a biscuit or something. I plan to buy half gallons of milk at the gift shop to keep in the room, so DS can fill his mug with milk and bring it down to Mara or we can get breakfast to go and eat in the villa. None of us ever get dessert with lunch. If we DID get dessert with lunch we wouldn't each use 2 snack credits per day on top of it.

I can see us buying the dining plan and DS wanting mac & cheese or an Uncrustable for lunch. If that's the case, it's better to pay cash. His appetite is so variable I doubt he will want an adult portion for breakfast and lunch every single day.

There probably are SOME days where we could spend $96 (daily cost of the plan) on 2 CS meals and 2 snacks, but we won't spend that EVERY day, and I think the best we would do on ANY day is break even. We wouldn't SAVE any money. So I need to STOP thinking about this darn plan!!!

I (i mean "we" lol) are pretty excited! She is the youngest of 5 kids so I am not sure why it has taken so long to get to the World.lol Although maybe thats why it has taken so long.

AKL is our absolute favorite resort, which is why we chose it as our DVC home. You will love it - AKL, WDW, all of it!
