June comes before August & the APs will still be valid! I think we're done here!

My trip definitely isn't THAT close, but it is nice to have the tags already.

There are pre-packaged snacks on the boat. When we did the IllumiNations cruise a couple of us had a soda, but that was about it. We went to the boat straight from dinner so nobody was hungry.

DS doesn't like chocolate, so I don't think he would eat chocolate covered strawberries.

I will continue to ponder. Eventually I will come up with a plan. ;)

Moving away from the cake plan.

I wanted a 3D Jiminy Cricket - either white chocolate or modeling chocolate. Nope, they can't do that. I want vanilla cake with lemon curd filling. Nope, they can't do that. OK, done with the Contemporary!

On to Plan B...

Did I seriously not tell DH about the Wishes cruise? Ha ha. Oops! Well, he knows now! And I told him it is a SURPRISE. SO he better not blab to DS!

I have fully informed him of the travails of the cake and the gift basket. He generally has no opinion on these things, but at least he can't say I didn't tell him.

I am still rather cranky about the cake. What is custom about a cake that can't be properly customized?

Soooo...

I griped about the cake situation on the Cake thread on the Restaurant board. They advised me to call the Hotline again and ask for the direct e-mail for the pastry chef. OK, I'll play. I got the e-mail and sent a detailed explanation of what I want. We shall see what the reply is!

I called our pet sitter yesterday and got on the calendar. Can't leave the kitties unattended!

What else do I need to do? Must be something. :rolleyes1

I called this morning to pay the balance on our room. We have a regular room on an AP rate for the first 2 nights, then we move to the villa. OMG! Could that STUPID automated system POSSIBLY be any more TEDIOUS??? :scared1: So annoying! I did eventually get a human, and she was able to process the payment, so that's done.

Now what? Hmm.

Maybe I will start going through DS's closet. He HATES that. :rotfl2: I know the majority of his shorts still fit because he has been wearing them to school. We bought a bunch of T-shirts on clearance several months ago so I need to wash those, I need to see if he has any swim trunks that fit, and I need to count his shirts and shorts to see how many more we need. OK, technically I am sure we don't NEED more, but what fun is that?

I think I am going to cancel our ADR for Le Cellier. I am going to try to switch it to Tokyo Dining, but if they don't have any availability we'll just do CS.

I think I have sorted out my cake issues. The poor cake man must be completely worn out.

Hopefully I can convince DS to try on his shorts today. There are only about 6 pairs that I am questioning - the rest will be fine. It's a shame I don't have a place to put the suitcases. I could actually start packing! :rotfl2:

DS has more than enough shorts. And I found 12 T-shirts with the tags still on. I think the only thing he really "needs" is a navy blue polo.

I switched our Le Cellier dinner to Tkyo Dining, and I canceled a Kona breakfast. It was for 7:30 AM, which would mean a cab from AKL to the Poly. That just sounds too labor intensive for breakfast. We'll eat at AKL or in the park that day.

Our cake is officially ordered. I hope it is beautiful!

Where are you having cake?

I had Joe try on shorts today. Only one pair shorts with a zipper fit. He's got lots of pull on shorts (the he prefers) but except for the one pair I bought a few weeks ago all his "nice"/dressier chino shorts are too small. I shouldn't be surprised as they were all size 5 & 6. I think there is one more pair in the basement that were too big last year that should fit him and one of the pull on shorts looks a bit nicer. I have a 30% off coupon for Kohl's maybe I should get him another pair. He's so hard to buy for though-doesn't like them too long, doesn't want too many pockets, doesn't like plaid.....hmmm...maybe he has enough.

We're doing the cake at The Wave. It was a toss up between there and Cali Grill, but Cali Grill didn't have any ADRs past 5:30 PM. We check in at the marina at 9 PM, so I did not want to have to be at dinner that early.

DS only outgrew some of his Quiksilver shorts, and those fit weird to begin with. They are short from waist to crotch and the waist is big, even in "slim". He has a bunch of Nike twill shorts that we got from Macy's 2 years ago that are his favorites, then we have some elastic waist ones from Nordstrom (Rip Curl) that he likes. The ones from Target that I thought would be too small still fit, and we have several from Gap that still fit, too. He has 3 pairs of those plaid ones, which is why we need a navy polo. I looked for one at Target today but they didn't have his size. I decided it was silly to go get one at Nordstrom or Macy's when he will probably only wear it once or twice. He has TONS of T-shirts. He could almost go for 2 months without wearing the same one twice. I need to stop buying so much. Then again, NO UNIFORMS next year! So he can wear all of these T-shirts to school.

I have a merchandise credit from the Disney Store. I thought the lady in the store said it is valid at the parks, but I phoned the number one the back of the card today just to verify. The man I spoke to (who sounded like he was in another country, very far away) said it is valid at the parks, so I put it in the envelope with our other assorted gift cards & rewards cards so I will remember to bring it with us. Once DH's Visa statement closes in May I will transfer his reward dollars over so we'll have those.

Oh. I just realized I never added the Wishes cruise or the cake to my budget sheet. OK, so "budget" is not really an accurate term, but I do try to keep a tally of everything we need to pay for and what form of payment I plan to use. Better to know those things ahead of time. :rolleyes1

Wow! 65 days sounds pretty good!

I think our itinerary is nearing completion. I have tweaked a few things, but I think I am finished. Maybe. :rolleyes1

I don't think I am ever really done with my plans, until after it is all over! LOL

The Wave is nice we had a great time there. Just some advice, do not order the chicken pot pie. I have no idea why i thought it would be a good choice but it sure wasn't! Just bland and....gross! Everyone else had great dinners!

I am not a chicken pot pie kind of girl, but I will keep that in mind because I can see DH or DS ordering it. Definitely don't want to be too full after dinner, though. Must have room for CAKE!

I was staring at the itinerary sheet earlier today, looking for things that need to be changed. At this point I think we are good. There MIGHT be nights that we cancel our ADRs if we are too tired or too busy to go, but I don't think there are other changes to be made now.

Cake is good.:thumbsup2

I just do not know why I wanted pot pie. Maybe because it was November? There was a resturaunt up near me which did a homemade pot pie with the most delicate cranberry rosemary crust. It was so good. I guess I was thinking that Disneys would be close to as good as theirs was. WRONG WRONG WRONG!!!!! Oh well. You live and learn.:)

It's a shame I don't have a place to put the suitcases. I could actually start packing! :rotfl2:

You don't have a basement, do you? ( I didnt think that houses where you live usually have them.) Thats where I put ours. I have a big plastic table that holds 3 of them in a row. I will keep throwing stuff in there or else I would forget stuff! Like our bottle straps, I already put them in even though our vacation is not until November. :rolleyes1

Nope. No basement.
The problem is I have a great love of luggage. So we have A LOT of it. We have to "nest" the suitcases so they take up less room. I can't even lift my big suitcase to get it out of the closet - DH has to do it. The only suitcases that are accessible all the time are the carry-ons, because they are under the bed and there isn't anything in them. So technically I could pack my carry-on now! :rotfl2:

I have a big sack in the closet where all the "Disney only" stuff lives. I left part of that stuff in the Owner's Locker in December, but we still have a TON of stuff that we'll have to bring in June.

The US/IOA situation has certainly become interesting. The rumors are flying about who will and will NOT be allowed into the WWoHP prior to June 18. We booked an onsite room back in January when they were still saying it would open in "Spring". Some folks are saying IF you booked an onsite room prior to the announcement that WWoHP would open 6/18 then you will be allowed in, even if you did NOT book the special HP package. So who knows. We don't have a package because we already had park passes. We'll be there June 9 & 10. Either they will let us in, or they won't! :rotfl2:
