June comes before August & the APs will still be valid! I think we're done here!

We have a Boma dinner schedule for the Saturday we arrive in July. My oldest would LOVE this, thanks for mentioning it.

You're welcome! I will have to look and see if I have an activity schedule at home so I can tell you how late they do the jewelry. They have it set up inside the Kids' Club so I bet it is only until 4 PM when the Kids' Club opens.

There are pics of the bead activity on page 32 of last year's trip report. The link to that report is in the first post of this report. :)

We seem to be at some sort of planning plateau.
I have nothing to add, nothing to plan, nothing is really happening.
So there you have it!
Is it too early to start packing????

Do you need to plan any outfits for photos? All of the photos we had taken at the resort at night were really great.

I have one at home in my suitcase somewhere....

Bernadette, welcome home!! I am glad you and Emma had a fabulous time! :goodvibes

I could probably start packing. :rolleyes1

Today I have some sort of eye issue. It could be a new stye (it's that time of year) OR it could be pinkeye. I strongly suspect that Princess has pinkeye, so it's a toss-up. Either way, it's my left eye AGAIN. I am SO over the gimpy eye. Seriously. I have barely had 6 months without eye issues. I can't think about photos when my eye is gimpy. Same principle as not being able to think about dinner if you are still full from breakfast. ;)

The planning inertia continues! :rolleyes1

I got the third US/IOA ticket that we needed from our travel agent, so that's all settled. Oh, I do need to remember to pay the rest of our balance on that night at Hard Rock!

Still pondering a cake for DS.

I suppose I can call Member Services and have our "celebration" of 8th grade graduation added to our ressie. If I wanted to do something truly tedious I could go through and add it to all of our ADRs, too! :rotfl2:

DS saw a commercial for the new Harry Potter thing at Universal this weekend, so now he is excited about going to see it.

I have a feeling it will be jam-packed, so we may not be able to see much of it.

My itinerary sheet is a nightmare. I need to re-do the whole thing. But I haven't been working on it lately, so now I am not even sure what is valid and what isn't. :rolleyes1

I didn't print off my ADRs becasue it takes like an entire sheet of paper for each flippin' thing! And of course I have them in like 6 different e-mails. So one day when I have a TON of extra time (like that happens) I will have to go through and see if I can make heads or tails of them.

Welcome, foxyroxy40!

A TIW card is a card you may purchase for dining discounts if you are an annual passholder or a FL resident. It gives you 20% off at table service restaurants around WDW. :)

So I was just about to book my families trip for 2011. My SIL annouced that she is expecting #3 and will not be able to go! The other SIL and her boyfriend used her excuse and backed out too! So now all that is left is my girl and I as well as her Mom and Dad.
To make a long story short I thought that I might try out the new Harry Potter stuff at Universal! So I am now really waiting to see what you think of it!

Group planning and travel make me want to jump off a bridge. :scared: Hopefully you girls and the in-laws will have a lovely trip without the other folks! The Harry Potter stuff will just barely be up and running when we go, so in another year it will probably have any kinks worked out and whatever.

I should really work on my itinerary today. And I should decide which meals I want to tag with "celebrations" and get that out of the way.

DS has a HUGE audition next Saturday. I need some distractions so I don't spend the week running in circles like a crazy woman. :rolleyes1

DOUBLE DIGITS!!!!

Not fair!! :)

I am in the double digits for dvc booking......not quite the same!! LOL

So My saga continues.... The parents still want to bring the grandkids, without their parents!!!! I would be ok with it but they will only be 3 and 5. Most importantly this will be their 1st time ever at Disney!!! I think it is sad that Mom does not get to see their faces! I was going to book a grand villa with the entire family but with just 4 of us ( and maybe 2 kids) i am doing a 2 bedroom. MIL is kinda upset with that and still wants the grandvilla!!! On my dime! LOL So she will be saddend but the reality that it is not going to happen!

Oh well, we shall see what pans out there.

Question, I have never marked any meals as a "celebration". What does it change?:confused3

I have been a nanny for 16 years. There isn't enough money in the world to convince me to take someone else's kids to WDW, without the parents, for the first time. :scared1: ESPECIALLY 3 and 5 year olds. NO WAY. Too labor intensive, too many variables. The meltdown potential is just too high. And if the grandparents are the type that allow the kids to make the rules then you should probably cancel the trip now and be done with it. :rotfl2: There are 4 beds in a 2 bedroom, right? And she still wants you to spend the points for a Grand Villa? Um, NO. The answer is NO.

Eh, adding a celebration to an ADR sometimes results in confetti on the table, or maybe a personalized menu (if it is a signature restaurant).

I went through the Disney Florist site and I was quite disappointed. I thought maybe they would have a basket of some sort that would be fun for DS. But since this will be his tenth trip in five years we just don't need more mouse ears or autograph books or whatever. And he is 14, so he is too old for a lot of the "kid" stuff. And he is picky about snacks. I might see if I can get some sort of Mickey graduation plush and maybe some Star Wars odds and ends and a refillable mug or something. I should really CALL instead of just browsing the website. I am sure they can customize things. My parents didn't do anything for me when I finished middle school. I am quite certain they were SUPPOSED to do something. Luckily DS won't have to suffer that fate. We will make middle school graduation a BIG DEAL!!

I feel the same way about taking the kids!! The 2 bedroom has 3 actual beds but also a pull out couch and chair. Even so, I think there is more than enough room!!!

Oh, I like the extra touches for a celebration! I really like that you are celebrating middle school graduation! My parents did not either. :confused3

Has your son ever had his picture taken at STARWARS? He might like looking from a character in Star Wars!! We do it every time we go! I think that is really the only souvenir we ever get.

A 3 and a 5 year old will be FINE on the pull-out stuff. Or better yet, they can stay HOME and sleep in their own beds! :thumbsup2

He loves the Star Wars ride, so I am sure he has seen the photo thing. Since he has never asked for that I kind of think he wouldn't be interested. But we shall see! I guess we could think about doing one of those crystal cube things with his pic inside, but that would be more for me, not for him. ;)

We still have plenty of time. As we get closer I will decide on a cake. And a venue for the cake.

Well, here we go! AirTran changed our flight home from 8 AM to 1 PM. I am not complaining about it, but I do wonder what sort of changes are in store from here on out. I don't think I have ever seen a flight change by FIVE HOURS before. :scared1: Luckily it is still nonstop. For now.

We've flown Air Tran several times, each time they have made several changes. I have been able to use it to my advantage by switching to another flight that I preferred but didn't book because of the cost. The last time we ended up cancelling and driving, DH has insisted on driving ever since.

Seeing how it only takes DH and DS bickering for about 30 seconds to make me want to jump off a bridge, I don't think we'll be driving. ;) 24 hours in the car with them there AND back would definitely result in someone's untimely demise.

The issue for us with Airtran is that there are virtually NO non-stop flights. The ones we booked are pretty much the only ones that will work. Especially for the flight coming home, where DH has to work the next day. If they screw up the non-stop we CAN'T take another flight that will take 10 hours to get us back home. But they don't care, so if they cancel that flight we will be stuck changing to another airline and paying double what we paid for Airtran just to get home at a reasonable time.
