June Challenge

:bounce: :Pinkbounc
I'm up to 25 pages!!! Just finiished an album for my husband's workplace from a trip we took last fall!

Another 4 done!
:)
Fishing Derby from May15th for Gabs book -
now off to do the fishing pages for Matthews album (I am in sooo much trouble when I have three to do this for ;)

so 28 and going............

Count me in this month! I'm redoing my Tony Stewart office/scrapping room, so I don't know how much I'll get done. I'm working on putting our wedding photos into an album for my dad. I finally decided I NEED to get it done! I finished 18 pages yesterday. I also picked up 5 rolls of pictures yesterday and added them to the 4 rolls I had developed last week. Need to get working on those racing photos!!

When the room is finished, I should have my own seperate space for scrapping. I have been checking out everyone's rooms on 2 peas to get ideas. I cleaned most of the stuff out of the room and will get the walls and border painted this week! The shelving and new desk unit will hopefully go in next weekend! I can't wait!!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc

I completed 8 pages this weekend so my total is now 10 for the month. But there is no way I am going to catch up with the rest of you! :D How do you guys find the time to scrap? I love scrapping so much (very relaxing an theraputic for me) but I have so little spare time for it. I work full-time outside the home and have a 14 month to keep out of trouble when I am home but I know many of you are in similar situations. What is your secret?

I work at home luckily -
but I have a ten year old and a three year old that require a lot of carting around and attention.

I am just lucky that I have a great space where I can just leave everything layoing out and pick at the pages throughout the day - and after they go to bed at night too.

But my MIL keeps telling me I should just pack up all the scrap stuff now cuz when the baby comes that will all end :(
I hope not :)

I only got one page done over the weekend so now I am at 29

I wish I could work at home (my company doesn't offer this option) and I need the insurance/benefits that my job provides. Of course I realize that working out of your home or being a stay at home mom still doesn't guarantee time for scrapping. :teeth: I also an fairly new at scrapping so I probably work slower than most.

Don't fret we've all been in that boat. And personally I will go for months at a time without having time (because of other things that have a higher priority then) to touch my scrapbooks.

But I also use the time I can. I'm not a big tv watcher for one, so when DH is sitting in the evening I'll scrap many times. And if I can only grab a half hour here or there I do. As PattyT said - being able to leave it out is great.

Hey Patty, don't pack it up. You have that space, continue to grab time as you're able! Even a page or two a week will be better than nothing.

2 MORE PAGES DONE ON MONDAY AND TONIGHT I'LL START OUR TRIP TO KING'S DOMINION FROM YESTERDAY!

THAT PUTS ME AT 27 SO FAR!!

Well I got Gab's field day, Matthews Field Day, Gabby's Cheering Car Wash and a portrait layout done within the last two days

It amazes me how one two page layout can take me 24 hours to 'get done' then I can do 5 pages in 2 hours (Matthew took a good nap today ;))

So that puts me at 36

Wow it has been a while since I hammered away at pages like this (they are a little simpler and I am not fretting over them as much!) It feels good! :teeth:

Good for you Patty! I'll update the totals again on Tuesday ladies. I'm not getting much done this month. First we had the rounds of open houses, now my work space is a jumble. I share that room with the piano and the tuner was here on Friday so everything that normally stores "around" the piano had to be moved - right onto my work space. He has to come back Monday to make adjustments to the key movements so no scrapping for me this weekend.

Guess that is someone's way of telling me I have a lot of other things that I need to spend some time on! :p

I went to a Stampin' Up crop on Saturday and got 10 pages done! :Pinkbounc I won 2 of the door prizes: most pages completed and most pictures on one page (39). :teeth:

That brings my total to 28.

I'm hoping to get a few more pages done this weekend, but it will depend how much painting I get done in my office. The tape is down and some of my stripes have "extra" edges. Nothing a little clean up won't fix. I can't wait for the room to be done! Then I will finally be able to display my entire Tony Stewart collection! :sunny: Oh, and I'll have a dedicated scrapping location as well! ::yes::

I went to a crop at my LSS on Friday and got 10 pages done!! Although 6 of them were 6x6 pages... so I'm not sure if that counts?

Last night I did 4 really awesome Disney pages!

So that's 14 more! (if those 6x6 count)

I just developed the pictures from my son's last day of school and from father's day so I hope to work on them tonight. This is so much fun. I think the challenge motivates me to keep up with my scrapping!:earsboy:

A page is a page. Personally I think I'd find those little pages more difficult than a big one!

And TonyS20 just HOW does one fit 39! pictures on a single page?!?!?!?

Actually, they are qualifying pictures from the Busch race in St. Louis. Usually I use a large square punch to punch the cars and place on the page. I didn't bring it to the crop, so I cut the photos as close to the car as possible. Then I laid them in a checkered pattern (leaving room to put the driver's name).

I should clarify that there were 39 pictures on a 2 page spread. :D

I finally sat down last night and cropped a bunch of pictures; nothing is scrapped yet, but I hope to get to that maybe tonight or tomorrow night.

I have a page like Tony's; we went to the Wiggles concert in April and I had a TON of pictures and very few of them were close-ups. So I took my large square punch and focused in the guys, and then made like a mosaic page, with red/blue/purple/yellow squares interspersed, making for a cool page. There are a total of 36 pictures on the page!
