June at the fort

We have a 2002 Wildcat that we used for Nascar races, WV, etc....we just upgraded to a 2012 Cyclone ToyHauler.... part of the deal was giving up resort living at Disney and camping...which I am fine with!! My question...we have always gone during the school year because of the kids ages...they are all at an age now where we are not comfortable taking them out of school...so we are looking at mid-June to late June for our Disney vacations now...

How is the weather? How are the parks? How is the Fort? Busy, etc...we have been during September-hot,hot...October, Dec and Feb, and April....any comparisons.

June will be hot, as hot as July, August and September. We go in the summer when school is out, we just try to find ways to keep cool.

You will also see more crowds at the parks and FW since school is out for summer.

The Fort is always great, there are lots of activities and the pool was refurbed a few years ago (the pool does get very crowded).

Let us know when you go for the first time and what you think of FW.

We are at the Fort right now. I've also been in July and August.

The forecast all week is for highs of 90 everyday with lows 69-70. I'm not sure how "typical" this weeks weather is for early June, but it is great! Mid day is hot but not terribly humid like July/August and by 6pm, it is cooling down and after dark is wonderful. My mid-summer visits were HOT! The day time heat seems hotter (mid-upper 90s), longer. I remember prior trips at 10pm and it was still hot and sticky.

June is ok, but it tends to be hot and the deerflies are fierce! had many welts from these nasty buggers.
