What should we expect for crowds at the parks in early June? Is it much better than later in June (after the 15th)? Thanks!!

I can't really compare it to the later part of the month, as we have only been the first week of June. In fact we will be there again this year. We had no problem with crowds. There were lots of people there, of course, but with fastpass and getting to the parks early we never waited in any long lines at all.

I have asked that question a few times since I first found these boards. I have been told by many that the crowds build in June so there is a noticeable change from first week to second or second to third. But that early June is not too bad. I sure hope so, that is when we will be there.

If it is any indication, I was able to get PS for CRT and Storybook breakfasts for the last three days in a row (for June 1st CRT, 2nd Storybook , and 3rd CRT). I did call right at 7, but I have seen times where people said they could not get PS even with calling right at 7.

We were at WDW the first week of June 2001 and the third week of June 2003, and we honestly couldn't tell a difference in crowds, they were about the same both times.

It was crowded, but we never waited too long for anything. We used Fastpass and EMH, and we left the parks after lunch each day when the crowds really picked up, then we'd come back (to a non-EMH park) for the evening.

WE have been in June numerous times- 12 years to be exact. Usually it is the first two weeks in June. We have found it to be crowded at times but has always been manageble and sometimes the first week of June has had light crowds. We have always felt that as you get into the 2nd week the crowds start to increase alot. The only time we were there after the 15th we thought the crowds were alot worse then the first part of June. For us it was a big enough difference that we decided we would not go back after the 15th again. Keep in mind that was only one year so maybe that is not a fair comparison.

If you have not been before do your homework on time saving tips. There are alot of them. Take advantage of early entry if staying on site. Get to the parks early as the crowds do pick up later in the morning. If you do early entry go to another park later in the day as that park will usually be pretty busy later in the day. Make sure and take advantage of the fast passes. Get a fast pass for one ride and go get in line for another ride. Usually when you get off that one it will be time to get on your fast pass ride. Stay away form MK on saturday if you can as I believe it is usually busier that day. Just a few suggestions there are many more.

Gay days is the first week of June now not just the first weekend. However, it has been our experience in the past that this has not really been a problem from a crowd standpoint for us. I would note that the exception to that is MK on the first Saturday of June- that is the designated park for gay days. We went there on that day two years ago and it was so busy you could not even think about getting on anything. We stayed for about an hour and got so disgusted with the number of people there that we left. I noticed that this year the first Friday MGM will be the designated park for gay days this year. I do not know if this is new or not. So do not know if it will make much of a difference.

In summary we have always been able to pretty much do what we want in early June over the years with a little planning. However, there is always exceptions and sometimes we have hit long lines but usually not.

we went a few years ago the first week . i took dd out of school. it was very hot, but it was JAM PACKED that year. we realized it would be busy after we made ALL the res. but we could not change. i guess now with FP it wont seem bad. just dont go to MK on that specific BUSY DAY . i would not go again that week because of CROWDS. never.
