June 5,2010 Relocation Cruise

If I wasn't travelling half way around the world and didn't have to deal with luggage restrictions, I'd bring you a box.

Maybe next cruise!

Well...I guess that the last thing I need on a cruise is MORE to eat!

Jill

Thank you for sorting out Palos, looks like I will be eating there now!:thumbsup2

Coldwater Creek Outlet online is having a sale. Everything is an additional 40% off the sale price.

I just bought a black knit travel skirt for $20 and a couple other things.

Plus, if you spend $50, you get $25 off with this offer code WHH3264

Just trying to do my part and help everyone spend more money! :rotfl:

Hi, Thanks for the info on Palo, will definately try to do this in the future, my clients will appreciate it. I would have loved to add on the cruise after our June 5 with the kids solo, but was hesitant on flying back alone w/ them.

We will be enjoying everything on the ship. I heard there is a new bartender type class, we want to sign up for that. I'll have to hit the gym and walk everyday. These cruises are catching up to me, I must come back the same size! I say that every time, gotta do it this time! As I plan eating and drinking....:p

Ooh...I am in for the bartending class. And I walk (very, very briskly) about 3 miles (5K) everyday. So if anyone needs a walking buddy, just give me a shout. I have lost 22lbs in the last 6 months; I don't plan on putting any of it back on :-)

i might try and join you for one of the walks, really should try not to put too much weight on this cruise!

and i'm definately in for the bartending class too!

narrowly avoided having to work again tomorrow, so i've got a day off tomorrow!! havent been off since last thursday, so going to finish putting the labels on my FE gifts, and might try making a new FE.

Lynn and others here are walkers,

Bartending class sounds like fun. I am in for that one

Sounds very interesting - is it 'pulling' pints?!!!:rotfl:

I believe there may be a wine tasting too from reading about the other cruises. We ordered the wine package on the Wonder when we did our four day cruise, but the wine wasn't good (we like our wine!). It would be great to try them before purchasing!!

I am beginning to like the sound of our cruisemates, last time we felt like alcoholics as we had a bottle of wine in the evening with dinner, everyone else around us was drinking soda!!

Maybe it will be different this time.

Spent most of this evening sorting out a cruise pressie for the children, hope the ages are right on the FE list!

Not long now and we will be 'Movin' the Magic'!! :cool1:

Yes glass at a proper angle, let rest then top off.

Wine tastings are fun and informative.

I will be searching Barcelona for a place to take on the proper provisions. I seem to recall such locations in Gibraltar

There is a large supermarket just near the dock in gibralter. I think there is a small supermarket just on the way to the dock on Barcelona but we may be at a different berth to where we have been in the past.

Oh, don't tell me that. I've paid for the Premium wine pkg

I am sure it will have changed. This was 2008. I would also think they would have looked at their wines specifically for the Med. Market.

We personally found on the Wonder that the wine waiters didn't really know their stuff but it wasn't a Sommalier. Maybe we were just unlucky!

Is there a list of wines on the package anywhere, as we would be interested in it.

What I find amazing is that Disney are happy about passengers bringing on their own drink. Wouldn't happen on a UK line. :sad1:

I do recall that one now that you mention it, thanks, so many ports and so few grey cells left... :thumbsup2:rotfl2:

Seems like adult beverage prices were reasonable.

Good Morning Cruisers!

I will be one of those walking every morning - Scott will be running - I also hope to hit the gym for some bike time and some weights. I am still trying to recover from knee surgery last year, and the knee is much better if I can make myself do some weights (not my favorite thing). I don't walk very fast yet - up to about a 16-17 min/mile, but I am getting better.

Have a great day all!

Dwight will probably be running every morning. He will do weights if there are free weights in the gym, but he isn't a big fan of machines.

Thanks for the list.

How many do you actually get? Surely not all of them - that would be some package!!! Have printed it off to show OH to see what he thinks. I presume I could find it somewhere on the DCL site? :surfweb:

I can see that I am going to be put to shame with all the exercise, I used to enjoy running, but I snapped an ankle ligament skiing last year, so can't do much atall nowadays as my ankle is very unstable, I only hope it holds up with lots of walking - makes me mad. Didn't going skiing this year either because of it.

I suppose I will just have to lie beside the pool - shame really !;)

Weather here has been warming up today, although dd is off school sick - covered in a rash and very sorry for herself and lying in our bed, watching cartoons. Hopefully just a viral thing, but rather she has it now.

There goes my chance at catching up with some packing and sorting our some summer clothes, which are still all put away.

Off to see John Edward tonight in Manchester - should be interesting!popcorn::

I am afraid I will be hanging with the alcohol crowd over the exercise crowd.:lmao:

:rolleyes1

Hi Kate,

I have always purchased the premium wine package on board, but when I was browsing through the Gifts and Amenities List to surprise my girls, I came across the wine, beer and photo packages.

Kate, I am not able to embed a link in the reply until I have 10 posts so I tried to embed in the title of the response but it is truncated. Please go to the disney cruise website and choose "Planning Centre" and "Gifts and Amenities", you will notice that there are three tabs, you will need to choose the "Barcelona" tab. By the way, the wine package prices are not consistent, it depends on the embarkation port.

You can choose any item on the wine list, if you purchase the premium you can select from either of the wine package lists. We usually choose one per night, you are entitled to seven. In instances we were not able to finish the bottle, they corked it and brought it back to us the next evening. You can also request a bottle at lunch, brunch and at Palo's.

I have been known to drink my share of the "Fairy Tale Cuvee"....Sinthia
