Kate, did you do the no-sew? What material did you use? Went to my local Dunelm and the felt there was rubbish so I think i'm going to have to use a heavier material.

Hi
I found it really difficult to get the stuff that you can in the states, but we do have a large Hobby Craft, even so, no 'Disney' products.
I used the dimensions of the no sew, but have an old machine (I mean really old, OH mother was given it for her 21st birthday, although it is electric).
I used felt for mine, got two metres and folded it longways and machined up the one side, then turned it inside out, so join didn't show. It measures around 9" wide and the double thickness gives it strength. You could possibly use iron on hemming to do it and then iron the length so the join is at the back. I then machined over the top and bottom, cutting off the excess, so it is about 39" inches long, there is space at the top to put a dowel in for hanging and also at the bottom, if I need to weight it.
I got three pieces of coloured felt for the pockets they were 6" long and a bit wider. (I bought them in a bag of mixed colours and machined these on to the front, postioning them 1" in from the edge, I stitched directly onto the front, didn't hem it. Once I had stitched the sides, they were obviously really bagge, so, I folded them over on themselves, with a pleat at the side (it also covered my stitching), and machined along the bottom edge, to form the pocket.
I did three of these, spaced 2" apart, one red, one orange, one pink. The idea is to put a Mickey on the top one - or just two white buttons, Simba or Tigger silhouette in the middle and a red/white Minnie bow on the bottom one.
However, I am having problems making the silhouettes, I may just try and find iron ons for them, but to source these in the UK is impossible, but my sister is in WDW, so I am going to ask her to look out for some. In the meantime, I stuck a character sticker from my dd sticker book on each one and they look really good, but not very robust. So having a think of what to do now. I got some little sticky letters and put our names on them at jaunty angles.
I thought it would take ages, but it was only a couple of hours and really I am not at all creative!!
I will try and post a photo when it is finished, but the felt worked out really well. Hope this helps.
Kate
