Hi Everyone

Welcome newcomers.

Thanks for the updated list Yen, I will be getting so confused with who is who, I think I shall have to make notes!!! Still not many children though, who said Disney was for kids!!?;) Interestingly, Desperately, Yensid and ourselves are all in the same location - could it be they are putting those in 'travel' in the same vicinity? I hope I don't get invited to some 'orientation' talk. Although it will be interesting to hear about the Dream.

Not made my FE, been pretty poorly since the weekend, but intend to do something this weekend. I have bought the felt, but we don't have as much choice of Disney stuff as you do in the US. Hopefully I am going to use a mixture of superglue and sewing machine. If all else fails, it will be carrier bags hanging on the Fish!!!

As for gifts, I have been picking up some bits for the children mainly and I thought about some 'British' sweets (candy) too, there are bound to be some things that you don't have in the US. Sherbert Fountains?,

Jgura - buying beer in Barcelona will be no problem whatsoever, there are supermarkets not too far from the Port, I think a lot of the crew stock up there and beer is cheap (to us, but probably not to you!). We can then drown our sorrows about our rooms without a view - are you joining us Smiling Mouse and Pappy?!:charac2:

Not long now, anyone got their cases out yet?

Kate

Hi all

Just checked for our room number. We're in room 2554 :confused3. Where on the ship is that? Still a cat 12 room:sad:

Are you sure? In that case Woohoo!!:woohoo:

How brilliant!!! We were in 2552 on the Wonder.

Here is a photo of the room, give you an idea. The first day... A very excited little girl...

Time to go home, looking despondently out the window. It is in a great location.

:confused3 no upgrade for us we ended up in 6137 standard cat 12:confused3,, still any cabin is better than a lifeboat.. add our cabin to the rosta please
neil

Gordy would be happy to have visitors enjoy his veranda, provided he's decent (not sure he's ever decent :rotfl2::rotfl2:).

But then considering how rough work has been for Bob & Dale the last 15 months they may just hibernate in the cabin the whole trip.

Hey guys....just a note...check your room location...a lot of people are assuming they are still in a Cat 12 but they are not - it just says that in front of their number. The only True Cat 12s are 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2021, 2509, 2511, 2513, 2517 & 2519 (not that there is much difference between an 11 & a 12, but I just thought I would throw that out there).

Thanks Kate for the pictures. I just woke Gaby up and showed her what our room would look like. She was far more interested in your daughter. " Who is she?, will she be on the ship?, can I play with her? " Awwwghh

I just told her to go and have breakfast and get ready for school. She is now really excited about the trip. I've also got the letter notifying the school that she will be missing a week from school. I am not looking forward to handing that over to the head teacher!

Lunchtime, I'm going to the craft shop and scare myself into buying things for a FE.

Wish me luck.
Have a good day everyone.

Hi everyone,
Has anyone got a photo of the rooms with 2 portholes please?
Thanks
Karen
PS There will be 4 of us travelling Me , My mum(sue), Adam(6) and Lauren(4)

I know the feeling about work, OH has been doing so many hours - it isn't healthy! It will be good to make contact with him again on the cruise:rotfl:

Not sure that a cruise is the best way for him to emerge into the world again - maybe we should just put them all in our darkened inside cabin and sit on the verandah ourselves. I could bring the Gin and Tonics....'Is the sun over the yard arm yet? ;)

Ok, so I am old and forgetful. It comes with dealing with kids no matter how old they are. In fact, the younger they are the better.

I didn't want to say anything........

By the way, talking about spelling.... my daughter who is 5, has written a letter for Mickey Mouse, she has put it in an envelope, so I have no idea if it is just wavy lines, or actual letters, but on the front of the envelope, she has written.....

Diznee!!!!! Sweet:)

Kate

Why do I get the feeling that I am not going to be able to get Disneymom7851 off of the verandah for 7 days??

On another note, I believe today is the day the Magic arrived in Barcelona...now just waiting for all of us to arrive!

Hi - I do not have a picture, but we had a room on the bottom deck with two portholes last June. We liked the room and location, quiet and easy to get on off the ship for excursions. Also easy to catch an elevator to go up. Enjoy!

Jill

Thanks Jill,
Which numbers were you in? I have read they can be quite noisy on deck 1 with engine sounds etc?
