After spending the day taking down the dead tree in the front yard in the sweltering heat with a reluctant chainsaw, I listened to a little Weezer:
"On an island in the sun, we'll be playing and having fun..."

Only 12 more days until we leave for WDW! I certainly feel like I am earning this vacation.

i cant believe how close it is!! be waiting a year to sail!!!
my countdown clocks says I leave for Florida in 11 days!!
and then sail in 3 from that!!!

Yipee only 11 days till we are at the Radisson!!

The boat drill is at 4:00 and usually last only 15 minutes. The sailaway party is at 4:30 and ends at 5:30. Which you, let me empasize, DO NOT want to miss. During that time is when the DIS meets have happened for the ones I have been involved in on past cruises. The past DIS'ers made the meet as a part of the sailaway party.

We also have early sitting for this cruise and we feel we will have plenty of time to experience some of the sailaway party/DIS meet and then get ready for the 6:00 dinner.

We (my family) have even thought of getting into our dinner attire (which is cruise casual for that night) after the boat drill. If we do that, then we can experience the sailaway and already be ready for the 6:00 dinner.

We basically play it by ear, but we make it a priority to experience the sailaway.

I'm getting so anxious about the vacation, I can't wait!!!!

not us, but we got such a great deal with DU (group rate)
that it is okay. I am like "batgirl" when it comes to sleeping so at least

Got our door sign made up and ready to go. If anyone would like me to make them one, PM me and I will send you a pic of ours to see if you like it. I tried figuring a way to post it here, but it's won't paste in the reply.

No upgrade for us, we are in a verandah room(probably our only time we will do it) and got a great deal from DU as well.

Its fine with me if we do the meet after the lifeboat drill, and I agree the sail away party is not to be missed. We also have first seating for dinner, and last year we had time after the sail away to change our clothes get our pics done and still get to dinner on time.

I am fine with meeting after the lifebaot drill too.

I am positive we won't get an upgrade - we're a family of 5 in a Cat 4, so unless they want to give me a suite (which I would gladly take!) I doubt we'll be moved. : )

Deck 10 after the lifeboat drill sounds great to us. I think that will give us enough time to put names with faces and then enjoy the rest of the party. We also have first seating. We don't expect an upgrade either as we are in a Cat 5.

Bethipooh - Two questions - What pictures? Do they take pictures before dinner or are they before the shows? Also, could you pm me you door sign. I am just looking for ideas. The way the next week looks, I may not get to it but will give it a try.

Anyone who is doing pillowcases. Did you decorate your own or buy Disney character ones?

Hi Karin,
They do pictures at set times during the day, some are with characters, some are just formal shots. We have one of us in behind a ships rail with the Wonder behind us. Different times during the day they will character greetings, character autograph sessions and then character pictures. Its usually listed in your navigator, and they have a bulleting board listed with all the characters appearing that day and the time and location.

Anyone who is doing pillowcases. Did you decorate your own or buy Disney character ones?

We could only find Princess ones, so we just went with a plain, solid color instead.

Dismeet after the lifeboat drill sounds great. We went to Home Depot over the weekend and got our paint chips. They are cute. Mine is DisGreen and DD's is aqua. Debating on whether to make luggage tags out of them or paste them to the door sign...

I was debating on getting a pillowcase signed. I know for sure we're going to get our picture matte signed.

No upgrade for us. We're in 6515. I think since it's just me and DD, we'll have plenty of room. Anyone else on deck 6?

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to start getting organized. Today I went on-line to order props for pirate night. Everything came by the dozen. I ordered plastic sword, eye patch, tatoos, earing and pirate hooks for all the kids in our party. I only need 6 sets. Would anyone be interest in splitting the dozen with us. It came out to about $3.50 a set. Let me know if you are interseted and I can give them out at the DIS meet.

Now I'm off to make my door sign.
