okay bethipooh, one more question since you are the all knowing, hee hee :)

Do my kids have to sign there Bahama documents? or can I?
or do I leave it blank?

I did have my older ones sign it, for Michael I signed his name then signed mine after it.

I just read the entire post with the "What To Pack?" tips. These are the items I am considering packing. Thought others could find this useful also.

~ over the door shoe holder (for shoes & toiletries)
~ personalized door magnet
~ baggies (a few small & a handful of large to use for wet bathing suits, taking room service or buffet food items on excursions or into Nassua)
~ bottled water
~ beer & wine coolers (must pack in carry-on)
~ collapsible, soft sided cooler
~ beach bag
~ cheap snorkel gear from home
~ suction hooks (to hang wet bathing suits in shower)
~ suntan lotion & oil, after sun lotion & soothing gel for sunburns
~ roll of quarters (for laundry)
~ Tide, Downey (Downey Ball), Shout stain remover packets (enough for 2 or 3 loads of clothes). I put the liquid Tide & Downey in some small spouted containers I purchased from Wal-Mart in the kitchen section, 97¢ each.
~ pre-sort tips in envelopes prior to boarding ship
~ envelope with dollar bills for room service tips
~ Thank You notes for special CMs
~ Motion Sickness Medicine
~ Portable Iron
~ Highlighter for marking Navigators
~ Post-It Notes for leaving messages in room

With only 12 days until we drive out, I am becoming obsessed!

Found this "Tip" today:

You can call within one week of your sailing date to see what movies will be playing during the cruise. 1-888-325-2500, choose reservations options and ask what's playing.

I don't know if this is accurate information or not, but it would be fun to know in advance. There are several movies that I would like to see.

There were a couple items you listed I hadn't thought of.

Here are a couple of things that I have on my list:
1. Clothes pins for hanging bathing suits on the lines provided in the bathtub.

2. Nightlight plugin with outlet (I plug that into the bathroom, helps control odor & still provides a plugin outlet.)

3. Power strip for those that have a lot of electronics to keep charged like digital cameras, video cameras, etc.

4. Walkie talkies

5. Waterproof containers to put your money/room card in while you are swimming (they have those on sale in Mickey Mates aboard the ship)

6. Door stop, we use this is we have adjoining rooms with someone. (The adjoining room's doors close automatically behind you)

7. Of course don't forget to bring duct tape or any kind of tape. You never know, you can always find a use for it.

Awesome ideas and tips....some of them I didn't think of

Here are a few suggestions of my own

Extra Tylenol, Motrin, etc..very expensive on the ship, especially for the kids

Batteries for your camera, also very very costly on ship and at the parks

a waterproof camera, even if you don't snorkle, it's great at CC and the beaches for keeping the sand out.

I posted a question about a DIS meet and places on the other board, there were some good ideas given, check it out, its listed as Deck 7 for topic.

I just finished writing a letter to DS8 from Buzz Lightyear, telling him where to pick up a special package when he arrives at the resort. It is his Buzz Lightyear GOH badge. Now I have to figure out how to get the letter postmarked from the Gamma Quadrant of Sector 4. :scratchin

Bethipooh4, IMHO I think Deck 10 overlooking the pool would be more lively and we wouldn't be so far removed from all the excitement.

On our Inaugural Western Cruise we had a Sailaway DIS Meet on Deck 10, then we also had a separate meet on a different day on Deck 7. I would personally like the Sailaway meet to be on Deck 10 so that there isn't any of the excitement of the Sailaway missed (with the band, etc.).

I am thinking deck 10 as well, that way, the drink station is there on deck 9, as well as the bar if anyone wants something a little stronger :earseek:
Plus food and such at scoops and Plutos...
Plus the music.

If we wanted to have another get together during the cruise, maybe just adults, we could always use deck 7.

So, maybe 3 pm, Deck 10 port side? Only question is where on Deck 10?
This is as long as its ok with everyone? I told you, I am the obsessive compulsive planner type.

3pm on Deck 10 or 10pm on Deck 3...doesn't matter to me, I'll leave the planning to you "obsessive compulsive planner types." Just tell me where to go and when to be there.

BTW, are any of you letterboxers? If so, PM me.

Jrsy Boy, be careful what you ask for, both sound good.....

What is a letterboxer? I guess if I was one I would know what it is, but I am curious..... :rotfl:

Rather than try to explain it, I will quote the letterboxing webpage (www.letterboxing.org):
Here's the basic idea: Someone hides a waterproof box somewhere (in a beautiful, interesting, or remote location) containing at least a logbook and a carved rubber stamp, and perhaps other goodies. The hider then usually writes directions to the box (called "clues" or "the map"), which can be straightforward, cryptic, or any degree in between. Often the clues involve map coordinates or compass bearings from landmarks, but they don't have to. Selecting a location and writing the clues is one aspect of the art.

Once the clues are written, hunters in possession of the clues attempt to find the box. In addition to the clue and any maps or tools needed to solve it, the hunter should carry at least a pencil, his personal rubber stamp, an inkpad, and his personal logbook. When the hunter successfully deciphers the clue and finds the box, he stamps the logbook in the box with his personal stamp, and stamps his personal logbook with the box's stamp. The box's logbook keeps a record of all its visitors, and the hunters keep a record of all the boxes they have found, in their personal logbooks.
We love letterboxing and, since it is a very kid-friendly hobby, we were wondering if anyone else we will be meeting is into it also.

Great list, Bethipooh. Looks like we have a good group. We're up for a dismeet on Deck 10 at 3pm. The lifeboat drill is at 4, is that right?

I like the packing list. One thing I thought about bringing is postcard stamps. Does anyone know if you can use US post office postcard stamps or is there an international stamp that they sell on CC?

Is anyone else planning on bringing a pillowcase for Character signatures?

Thanks, but all I did was copy and paste what had been done before...

Lifeboat drill is still at 4 as far as I know.

I know you can get your postcards stamped at CC, and you have to have cash for that. I heard it also takes awhile to get it back to the states.

I thought about the pillowcase, but the only character my son cares about it Stitch. I thought about bringing his stitch tshirt and see if we can get signed.

If I counted right there are 35 kids in our group, I would say we are outnumbered....

...but you did it really well!

From what I've read, postage from CC is more than your usual US postcard stamp, so you will have to buy it there. Ditto on hearing that you will probably be home long before those postcards arrive.

We've got our pillowcases and laundry markers. One for DS and one for our 1-year-old neice who's daddy is a big Disney fan. He has given us much good advice and has claimed the first spot in line should anything happen to one of us and we need someone else to go.

Here is a suggestion to ponder.... In the past I have been to Dis meets after the boat drill and as the sailaway party begins. They were on Deck 10 on the dock side at the goofy pool (midship). I found myself unpacking or unloading stuff into our rooms until the boat drill happens.

What would you all think about meeting during the sailaway party instead of 3:00?

Just a thought from my direction....

Regarding the Dismeet after the lifeboat drill. Does that give those of us that have early seating for dinner enough time to get ready for dinner? This is our first cruise, so I'm not sure how everything works.

We're getting excited. Just picked up our Mickey paint chips from Home Depot today. DD chose an aqua colored one, but mine is Disboard green...
