June 3rd 07 Anyone going???

I'm a first time Disney cruiser, but I'll throw out a possible meeting for all Dis'ers on our cruise. I've noticed other groups do a quick meet-and-greet the afternoon of the first day. What about 3:00 on Sunday just to say Hi! and let adults and kids meet.

Help me out with the best place. You veterans will likely know the most convenient place.

Any thoughts/ideas/changes are welcome.

DD---We are booked for the 11am parasailing excursion! Just checked. We can give each other moral support.

We can't wait to see Johnny and Orlando again. This weekend we're going to try to watch 1 and 2 so we'll be set for the big premiere. Hope it happens. We also have a state soccer tournament.

I think meeting would be great. 3:00pm sounds like a great time too. Let's just agree on a meeting place. I'm not sure where a good one would be. :confused3. I have heard of others meeting by the Mickey pool, but that might be too crowded. Meeting somewhere inside might be a better option. What do you all think? Just let us know and we will try and be there.

Only 20 days left!

Bumping up so we can get some help from our veteran cruisers.

It looks like 3:00 is a good time to meet.:thumbsup2
Now we just need a convenient spot. :confused3

Well...
I think that it would be pretty cool to go parasailing but i think that we are just going to stick with the things that are not extra!
But I think that meeting at 3:00 would be really cool!
Especially cause I would like to meet people that I might be friends with for a few days!
:thumbsup2
and HOLY MOLY!
now it's what? 19 days?
and my family is leaving on friday... so i'm leaving in 17 days!
:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
I'M REALLY EXCITED!
But I don't know where we could meet cause I've never been on any kind of cruise and I don't know where we could meet!
So... Yall decide... I'm not picky!
lol!

OK y'all.................We're two weeks away from paradise, how about a little excitement:cool1: :woohoo:
What do y'all think about the meeting @ 3:00? DW(DiznNut) and I thought that deck 10 above the Goofy pool (mid ship) right side would be a good meeting place.
:welcome: party: :rockband: :sail:

Sure... I'm cool with that!
I'm just ready to get there!
I'm getting sooo excited it's not even real!
:cool1: :cheer2: :yay:

That sounds great. :thumbsup2
And thanks for your help with the location.

SO, 3:00 on Sunday afternoon on Deck 10 above the Goofy Pool which is mid-ship. And meet on the right side.
One question about the right side. Is that looking at the dock or looking out to sea?
I may well be over analyzing this, but I just don't know how crowded the deck will be at that time. Don't want us missing each other. :)

Oh, and we are getting extremely exicited. I'm pulling out the suitcases to start packing tomorrow.:cool1: :dance3: :yay:  pirate: :cheer2: party: :jumping1:

That would be the right side of the ship while looking out to sea. Unless for some reason something has changed since last time, that side also looks over the terminal.

I could be wrong but I don't think it will be real crowded there at that time. When 5:00 rolls around it will be elbow to elbow there because the party will be going on just below on deck 9. :sail:

Thanks for helping me get my bearings. :)
I think it will be alot of fun meeting everyone.

Just got my cruise docs yesterday. :cheer2: party:
So relieved. We're going to WDW before the cruise so it was getting too close for comfort.

We still haven't gotten our passports.
I guess I'll have to go pay to get extra copies of our birth certificates. Here in Texas that means another $66 for the 3 of us.

Can you believe it's only 11 days until we sail? :cool1:

We're looking forward to meeting everyone at 3 pm on Deck 10. We started packing yesterday:laundy: We still haven't started our door signs but the kids get out of school tomorrow so we'll start working on them then!

See everyone soon!

OK y'all in six days the boat floats, one week from this moment Nassau will be in front of us and I can't hardly wait. I think DW & DD are planning on spending most of today packing......:yay:

It's too close to departure to let this board just fade away.............let's hear it, who's excited, what plans are you making/made, R U gonna be at the 3:00 meeting?????????????????party:

pixiedust: :goofy:

Yep, I am very excited. Don't think I'll make the 3:00 meeting though, I'll be struggling through with a broken ankle. And after four days at WDW, where I refuse to rent a scooter (I'm not that old and don't want to feel old) I'm really planning on just sitting on a lounger with a tropical drink in hand while the buzz just goes on around me and recover.

I'll be there! :cool1: 3:00 cruise time.
We leave for WDW in two days (early Wednesday morning) so now I'm in panic mode about all the stuff I may be forgetting. I've also become a fanatic about checking weather.com. Don't do it if you haven't yet. Why worry about what you can't change.
Can't wait!party:

Soccer Mom you have my respect for trying all this with a broken ankle. WOW! Soccer season just ended for us. We had our end-of-season pool party yesterday. DS (10 almost 11) is hoping there will be kids wanting to kick the ball around on the sports deck. :thumbsup2

As for plans......

Star Wars Weekend at MGM (first time)
Blizzard Beach (first time)
Disney Cruise (first time)

We're doing the Comfort Suites all access to Atlantis.
Parasailing excursion on Castaway Cay.
PALO for dinner and brunch. (We've tried to time it so the kids club will be on the sports deck. Hope those old navigators hold true.)
And while I'm more the go, go, go type, we're all going to try to chill just a bit. :rolleyes1

Don't forget your quarters for tolls, laundry, stamps at Castaway Cay.:beach:

Oh yeah! We are excited! And..I am almost packed. Just those last minute things that can't go in until well..the last minute. We don't have a lot of plans. We are going to stop by at 3 on Sunday, myself, DH, DS-16 and DS-12. In Nassau we are doing the Atlantis Beach Day and planning to check out the Pirate Museum. No real plans for Castaway Cay, except to enjoy ourselves. The boys want to try that 3 wheeler thing. We are counting the days though because we are leaving a couple of days early to catch Herman's Hermits in Epcot. Oh, and we have the second seating for meals.
How about anybody else?

We're leaving tomorrow morning for Universal. Everyone's gotten so busy with preparing to leave and school ending/ spring sports stuff that we're barely posting anymore!

I'm planning on stopping by on Sunday at 3 pm. Not sure who I'll take with me, but I'll try to take a kid or two. I'm not sure if the lime green ribbon is still the popular symbol of the DIS boards, but I know that in the past that was how we recognized other people from the boards. I had lime-green Mickey stickers stolen from Home Depot's paint sample department also (nobody should paint their rooms lime-green anyway.) I'll see if I can find them from my previous WDW trips. Otherwise I have shoulder-length blonde/brown hair that will be absolutely wild in Florida's humidity; my husband is a 6 ft tall bald guy (we sort of balance each other out?)

We're joining the Comfort Suites/Atlantis group. We're also parasailing at Castaway Cay. I've already seen Pirates 3, but I probably need to see it at least once (twice?) to figure it all out. :confused3

Off to finish the last-minute stuff!
Donna

Getting super excited... packing as we speak!
Umm... I think that my family is eating the second seating at dinner each night!
And we are all definately meeting up... we plan on getting there as early as possible... and then unpacking... then i want to go to the Aloft to see what it's like! I hope that it's as cool as I think that it's going to be! :cool1:
But we are leaving either tomorrow or the day after that (thusday or friday) because we are maybe going to atlanta, georgia and then heading on over to florida where we're going to stay at cocoa beach or whatever!
but i'm sooo excited i can hardly stand it! But I keep telling myself just to chill... :hippie:
But anyway... my family hasn't seen the pirates of the carribean movie yet... (waiting until we get on the cruise)
anyway... hope to see you guys there!
<3 ya!
