June 29, 2008 - Magic - West Coast!!!!

That sounds like so much fun. Next year Rick and I are taking the boys on a Land and Sea, and I am sure that I too will be busy packing for the whole family.::yes::

One month and then the cruise. I am so excited. This is going to be so much fun.

This was the point that I told myself I'd need to buckle down and really get stuff organized! Although I've already started with lists, etc...I need to get myself in the 'mode' now ::yes:: My youngest just finished kinder yesterday, my oldest will be done next week, and Tori not til the end of June. But PTA stuff is almost done, Girls Scouts is almost done, and...well...my son's golf is NEVER done. But things are finally at that point that I can FOCUS FOCUS FOCUS!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Just made our PS for dining when we are at DLR. I am trying to figure out what other things the concierge can help us with; If we are paying for it, we should use them. We will have free food!

That's how I feel too...I'm just trying to drum up a list of things I can have them do!! :lmao: I called last week to see if I could request a concierge room by the pool, and she said I couldn't :scared1: What?? I was bummed out...they told me NO!! ;)

I asked Rick if we could go to DL this Sunday for a "WET" day........He said no:worried: :( :furious: Wet days are when we only go for a little while, and ride Splash Mountain, Bigfoot Rapids, Play at Flicks little wet garden, eat a corn dog, and go home around 2pm. Maybe I will take a girl friend, or ask Rick a few more times. ( yes I am an adult):lmao: 30 more days peeps!!!!

I wish I could go to Disneyland and have a wet day. With gas prices we cannot afford going to Disneyland once a month. From our house it is a 6 hour drive. So, it makes me sad. But, in less than a month we will be in Disneyland. I am so excited. We are staying at the Grand California. It should be really nice.

I have wanted to stay at the Grand Californian since they built it. It is my favorite. I just love sitting infront of the fire place. Storytellers is my favorite restaurant. I always eat there. I dont get the buffet. You can ask for oatmeal for breakfast( its not on the menu ) I think it is only about $7 or so, and it is really nice. For lunch you can split the turkey sandwich. It comes with fries, get water with lemon, and your out the door for $12 including tip. I always share my meals with someone, and I never leave hungry, and it saves a ton. If I am still hungry, I grab a little treat at the candy store. I can't wait to hear about your stay.:lovestruc

dang, I'm dying to go...corn dog sounds soooooo good...sometimes I tell DH I want a corn dog and he knows I want to go see the Mouse, but he tells me to go to the mall instead... lol

Mmmm...a corn dog ::yes:: Crazy good! That and a churro are probably the two things I crave the most ;) Anyway, I'm at PP....and going to be enjoying that pool for the entire day (yes, only one) that we're there. Can't wait!! :hyper:

I really like Paradise Pier. I think it is really clean. My room looked right over California Park. I also watched the electric parade from my window. Disneyland Hotel is my least favorite ( I still LOVE it ) but it has my favorite pool. And Grand CA. is only a dream. Someday I will stay there. I am waiting for a friend to stay there, so I can come use the pool. ( I am not hinting Mickey Teacher):rotfl2: I think for my big "40" I will have all my family stay there for the weekend. But that's a loooooong way off. (23 months):rotfl2:

Yeah...if you haven't been to the GC, you need to stay at least once to experience it for yourself. We've been there a few times, and we actually prefer PP. I think the theming is just a little more 'us'. That whole beach atmosphere is really fun :) But no complaints about the GC pool...the kids absolutely LOVED that :thumbsup2 I'm sittin' here trying to come up with something to wear for Pirate Night. Don't wanna overdo it, but still want to be part of it all. I'll come up with something :smokin: (thought I'd include that smiley for ya Sophia ;) )

Thanks for the smiley:smokin: You made me laugh hard!!!! I am not trying to be too personal, but every time I even look at the GC, it is $350 and up a night. Do you get some kind of deal? I always like to stay somewhere at least 2 nights. $700 is a little to steep.:smokin:

Whenever we've stayed there, we either booked through AAA and got a package deal, or through our AP ressie #. You save a little, but it's still pretty steep. We had a great time there, don't get me wrong. It's a fabulous place to stay. But, we just LOVE  PP. That just seems to be our preference. :thumbsup2 And really, the walk isn't that much further to DL. :smokin:

:cool1: OK...I have seen some of the deals for AP members. Someday......for pirate night,I think I am going to wear a black and white striped tank, one large hoop earring, and some kind of black scarf in my hair. I will be back in about 10 minutes...I need to take Jake to a friends house:moped:

I Know that you can't see the picture of
Rick and I, M i c k e y, But if you could see him, you would realize that he looks like a pirate without any costume on:rotfl2:

I guess I'll have to just wait til the cruise to see your pirate husband....stupid computer! :furious: Anyway, not only am I counting down the days for the cruise, but I REALLY want to see Wall-E...and do the wine tasting...and relax on my verandah...I'm afraid there'll be too much to do, and too little time. :smooth:

We normally stay in the Emassy Suites. But, we decided that my mom would like it better at the Grand California. :cool1: She will get tired and need a nap in the afternoon. This way we walk her back to the room and she can take a nap and we can go swimming. She is 75 and will get tired. On the ship we are staying in a level 9 room. So we only had so much money for vacation and so we wanted to do it all and so we cut back on the room on the ship. We almost did not go to Disneyland. It is so expensive. We take a cooler with us and carry all of our food with us for breakfast and lunch. We only eat out dinner. No matter what, we will have fun.:dance3:

Aloha,
Hi guys GC is a great hotel.Your guys should try Napa Rose one night. It's the best restaurant in Southern California. It's a lot better that Club 33 I think. We stay at GC the night before DCA official grand openning. Wow that was great.
We are staying at Disneyland Hotel on New Years eve this year. We're using our DVC points. Still trying to get GC.
We are going to DL tomorrow. We got get our fix. Hopefully Toy Story Mania will have a soft openning when we are there.
29 more days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1::rotfl::banana::woohoo::dance3:
Can't wait to see everyone!!!!

aloha,
hawaiian mickey:yay:
