Kids are Michael and Andrew - probably can't miss us if we're in the airport somewhere - look for the two asian kids playing on their electronic (something) of some sort :rotfl2: - My wife's caucasian so that'll probably distinguish us as well.. come say hi if you see us.

We will be the family with the 8-year-old girl playing an electronic something of some sort. :)

I am not doing too well trying to pack right now. I thought I saw someone had put up a packing list (or a link to one). Does anyone have that? It's is going to be a long week if I can't get organized!!

Finally pulled together most of the non clothes items for packing. Had to make a huge Target run to pick up the things I thought I had, but didn't....

My list looks a lot like Denver Val's. But since I over pack, I have added a few things. ( can't see the list while I am typing this, so I apologize if I duplicate something)

Dedicated flash light. My phone has an app for that, but we will be in Venice late that first night and I understand that the streets can be dark there so we are packing a pen light.

Blister bandages

Small febreeze and wrinkle releaser

packages of eye glasses cleaner

glasses case for the plane to put your glasses on your head into instead of having to wrap them in something and hope they don't break when to take them off to put a sleep mask on. (Can you tell I have done that before?)

Also on the glasses front, a spare pair. The only time in his life my DH broke a pair of glasses was on a cruise. We had to wire the nose piece back together with red twist ties, a real fashion statement.

white noise app for iPhone

Snack bags to put currency in so it stays dry while in money belt.

Bottle of antibacterial hand soap for the stateroom. Don't like to wash my hands with bar soap. Have a half bottle I will throw out at the end of the cruise.

Luggage zip ties (remember to pack a nail clipper in an outside unzip tied pocket to get them off! Forgot to do that before!) We have lots of pockets on our luggage-- too many for real locks on all.

Bug Spray-- saw a small pen like Off brand one and it was so cute I had to buy it.

plastic shot glass

splenda

small tissue packs, travel size toilet paper, toilet seat covers...

emery boards

Since my Scout Leader days I have always prepared for emergencies... so I pack a quart bag with all types of meds. I cut the instruction panel off the back of the box and throw in in with the blister packs of meds. Just in case. I know I don't have enough to solve a problem should it arise, but just to get thru until we can get to a store...

Dramamine- non drowsy or generic-- 12 doses (usu don't need, but if seas are really rough...)
Benadryl (6 dosages) use for the international flights instead of my usual Zyrtec hopefully to get a little sleep!
Gas-X
Immodium (12 pills) (Been hauling them around for years and never needed them, but afraid to stop taking them along!)
Sudafed (mainly for the plane)
Mucinex (plane + emergencies)
Laxative (see Immodium !)
Tylenol, Ibufrofen, Aleve
Tums
Vitamin C drops
Thermometer
triple antibotic cream
hydrocortisone cream
antifungal cream

Address cards with name and address of hotel for taxi. Same for any other taxi destination...

I told you I overpack!

We watched an interesting 4 parter on Netflix-- a 2003 PBS series on the Medici, Godfathers of the Renaissance.

I am sure that it was an oversimplification of the events, but was interesting to see how one family could have such an impact on a couple of hundred years of history.

60 Minutes had a piece a week or two ago on Sagrada Familia. If you google it you will find it along with a construction zone tour that they did....

Some good ideas on your list, which I have already incorporated into mine! I use the snack bags to put a single use of laundry detergent in and then put them all in a larger freezer ziplock.

and we are in Barcelona! :goodvibes Leaving Sunday the 23rd through Philly.

One son is already packed, and tonight I will be working on the other. My husband and I will follow. It is all the last minute to do or buy stuff that gets overwhelming. Oh and shoes! I think we are going to have a small suitcase just for them; flip-flops, dress, water shoes, etc. :crazy2:

Great packing lists, Val and Sandie! :thumbsup2

What am I going to wish I had done this week when I am in the last day panic next week? :confused3 Besides doing my work instead of yakking on this thread and the Facebook page?!? :lmao:
