Well, DH and I stayed up until almost midnight filling out online forms, faxing things in. Hopefully we are all ready to go. Now, packing... Need to take things to the dry cleaners today, still have to get 13yo son a suit.... so much to do so little time. Maybe I'll get the suitcases down today too. That will make it real!!!!!

Got my docs today from my friendly UPS man. Since we have two rooms I got two packets. Me and DD 19 and the 2nd was DH w/ DS 14 and DD 11. The packet for DH and kids contained much more info than my set did. His included itiniery (sp) and other stuff to sign. I filled out a bunch of stuff online and printed it out and included everyone to have charging priviliages on my card. I guess my question is, why does DH have more stuff in his pack than I do and is it something to be concerned about?

And here's how dumb I am. I had no idea until reading it on the boards that a passport had to be good for 6 months after the end of your trip. DD 11, well her passport expires in Aug. So last night from midnite I started calling to get an appt. for an expediated passport. Took an hour to get through, but we have an appt for 6/19 at 8 AM. Talk about cutting it close.

Greeting from North of the border. DH, DD (16) and I will be joining all of you on this adventure of a lifetime.
This our third Disney cruise (WC 2003, WB Panama 2005) but this is the first time following along on the board. DD and I have had a great time planning with all the input form the trip blogs and excursion reports. It's been great fun, wish we had known about this before.
2 weeks and counting

I also have a DD age 16. My problem is getting her to go to the stack to meet people. She is a little shy until she gets to know people. She is at tennis camp this week. I'll try to get her to go to the teen meet blog this weekend - but you know 16 year old girls.

Got our docs today, too! Only 9 days till we leave for Paris and DLP. So much to do to get ready! DD, 17 and DS, 15 are planning our tour of Barcelona when we arrive there on the 27th. I'm just going to follow along and enjoy the ride!

We leave in 9 days!!!!! We're getting the suitcases down today! We got 13yo son's suit yesterday. Everyone has clothes for the trip! Still have some errands to run, but it will all get done. We're going to Europe!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't know if it really means much, but I was cking cruisecal.com and found that in all the ports except for Rome there are no other ships listed as being in port with the Magic. In Rome there is listed the Magic, Galaxy and Costa.

If that site is correct, at least the ports won't be jam packed w/ other cruisers trying to get taxis and such.

I still have 11 days left until we leave. I wish it was today, although I'm certainly no where near ready.

I have justed ordered rental tuxes for myself & number 1 & only son for the cruise! Ew we be styling!

I also ordered tuxes for DH and DS. DS has grown so much that their measurements are almost identical! I ordered online, and they called the next day to make sure I didn't duplicate the order accidentally. That was nice.

Since we have a few days in Barcelona before the cruise and a few days in the UK after the cruise, it will be nice since DH and DS won't need sport coats, only a few nicer shirts.

I plan to use DCL laundry services...I found the prices reasonable and so convenient for pressing and laundering!

Just in case I need to order for DH, how much are tux's to rent?

I was just going to pack a jacket since I wasn't going to be that formal, but since the jacket is pretty heavy, we should consider DH getting outfitted correctly for formal night.

Do they rent shoes as well?

I think it is $85 for the basics. Yes they do rent shoes but it is extra!

I think you are the first of us to leave! 3 more days..... are you ready???!!!!

We leave one week from today! I am NOT ready... two graduations parties for my daughter, one pool party for kids today, one "grown-up" one to cook for tomorrow! Thank goodness school is out and I have next week without work to get myself organized!

I've been scouring the forums reading all I can. The problem with that is you start to overplan! We are now considering canceling the ROME on your own excursion. It is $79 per person for a bus ride and pick up. Many people took the train for $12 Euros RT.... I don't know.... my husband wants to be adventurous and do it ourselves..... I want to make it back to the ship!!! It night be worth the cost for a little peace of mind!

Also, have you guys seen the Navigators are posted on the front page of allears.net? They are a great way to get in the mood and get info at the same time! Well, in 10 more days we'lll all be together by the pool!!
