I used www.Insuremytrip.com for the cash portion and medical insurance. And for the DVC points I used the Travel Guard that DVC offers to cover points. The cash and medical was only about $250 total for the four of us for the whole 16 days we will be in Europe. Spending five days in France before the cruise. Covering the points was almost twice that.

I think you should get the insurance. Your a long way from home and anything can happen.

Nice work TDC Nala! Can you design a ringer or standard with the big design on the back and a small one on the left chest or pocket area like the golf shirt?

Rodney is a vertical design, not horizontal, didn't show up right on the magnets. I can play around with it and see if I can do one that 's vertical, they might let me switch them around.

And I'll work on the shirt with the back design...how about something on the front like the URL for disboards, or the dates of the cruise or something?

I have picked out my shore excursions - 8 of them.

I have to fly to LA Tuesday for a week as my sister is very ill, I really only have to worry about Palo & Flounder ressies as you can always get on the excursions, at least most of them.

I have booked a private tour for Rome & Barcelona, I am still debating about Naples & Pisa. Since the Euro is so high I really need to take the whole family to justify a private car tour. Most of these recommended agencies want 500 euros without admision or tour guide it adds up quick! The company BS Transportation in Paris is only 400 euros for a whole day much more reasonable.

I have also narrowed down the DCL excursions, will try and make decisions on the flights to & from LA.

I don't even know if I'm going to try to eat at Palo. I hear you can go sit at the bar and order a drink and chocolate souffle. That's enough for me.

When I book the excursions I will post them. It's a long list and I'd have to type it out again. I have a backup for the Rome one but I dont think I'll have much trouble getting them.

I assume BS doesn't mean the same thing in France that it means in the USA.

Where are you staying in Barcelona? We are going to go there early. We have booked through Disney - particularly since we need a triple but they seem so expensive. Any ideas?

We haven't ever stayed there before. We picked it because we are in the Hilton rewards program and they had family rooms that would fit all 5 of us. I don't think it is that close to the major sites, but is near some major tube stations. I don't think getting around should be too difficult.

Okay I am back tracking through the postings and trying to catch up. I have been to London many times - my sister lived there for years. It doesn't matter where you stay as long as it is near a subway. They have an amazing subways system. It is cheap and since everything is in English you will have no trouble getting around.

Just "Mind the Gap" [London subway humor. you will know what I mean when you get there]

WOW!!! I have to wait until the 29th. Do you know the schedule for pirate night and other evening activities yet? I am trying to figure out when is the best night for Palo without interfering with other activities.

We are staying at the Renaissance by Marriott. They allow 3 per room and the room rates are very good. The only drawback is that it is by the airport, but it will come in handy when we are going back to the airport.

Today is the day I can start making ressies! I have not logged on yet but will let you all know how it works out!

I just happened to be awake at 1:15 a.m. (central), so I decided to get up and book our excursions and Palo when they opened at 2:00 (which is 3 eastern). Guess what...I don't think DCL has the daylight saving thing figured out, because it didn't open for an hour, which would be 4:00 eastern time. I called them today to let them know.
So, if you book any time between March 11 and April 1, you may have to wait an extra hour!
