Hi everyone just a reminder that if you are going to be on the FE gift exchange list and you haven't already done so. Please PM CSwan1 with the names of the members of your family, your stateroom number and your e-mail address.
She will update the FE list and e-mail a copy to everyone.

We need to keep the list accurate for both #'s of participants for FE gifts and the exact # of lanyards needed.

So weird the different reports back from the early Dream cruises.
I have 2 friends that were on the Maiden Voyage...one had a better time than the other, but they both had plenty of nice things to say about the ship.


Is anyone here a platinum CC member and can gives us feedback on the ressie booking coming up

I was on the mv and had a great time. I've posted a review on cruise critic I will see if I post a link here as well. Complaints have ranged from slow service to new servers to rude guests to paint chips out of doors. I think one of the reasons for the negative reviews were people's expectations. Was everything perfect? No. Did I encounter anything that made me say I had a bad time? No. That being said I can appreciate people's disappontment of they got a new server or cabin steward but hey, haven't we all had to learn new jobs? Once they get a few sailings under their belts things will be fine. Go with a positive attitude and you will have a great time. Go looking for problems and you're sure to find them. There are several threads on the main boards that go into more detail but I caution against reading too many of them. I read a bunch and started wondering if I'd had as much fun as I remembered.

What did people have to say about the maiden voyage.....good & bad?????

I was on the mv and had a great time. I've posted a review on cruise critic I will see if I post a link here as well. Complaints have ranged from slow service to new servers to rude guests to paint chips out of doors. I think one of the reasons for the negative reviews were people's expectations. Was everything perfect? No. Did I encounter anything that made me say I had a bad time? No. That being said I can appreciate people's disappontment of they got a new server or cabin steward but hey, haven't we all had to learn new jobs? Once they get a few sailings under their belts things will be fine. Go with a positive attitude and you will have a great time. Go looking for problems and you're sure to find them. Both my friends posted tons of pics. I don't think either did a trip report. They both are on the Dis so maybe some of you know them as well. AndyR and Eeyorelvr (Laura).
Andy even had video of his trip in the aquaduck-very cool.
The pics of the food looked great and I don't remember them complaining about it.
The only slightly negative thing that Andy said was that the Dream was so much longer that the hallways seemed to go on forever and that he was pooped from all the walking at the end. Laura had a hard time with all the stealing by the other passengers. She had her new D&B bag stolen from the gift shop counter just as she was buying it. Luckily the CM and her manager bent over backwards to make it up to her. The CM even gave her a D&B bag that she had set aside for herself. The only thing negative I remember Laura saying about DCL was that the line for guest services was too long and they needed more staff at that desk. They might have said more and I missed it because I was focusing on the pics

Otherwise they had a great time
Artistically, the Dream is amazing with tons of beautiful little additions. A little worried that we won't get to see some of them because of all the stealing

But, I agree with Goofy about the positive outlook
I'm just going on this cruise determined to have a great time exploring a new ship

With the number of months we have until ours I would be really surprised if DCL doesn't have most of the bugs worked out by then.

I'm really looking forward to Remy

Two of my friends were one of the preview cruises on the Dream, and they absolutely loved it. They said mostly positive things (especially about Pink, my friend Alex LOVED that), and the only negative thing was that you could definitely tell that some of the servers were new.

I've also seen and talked to a bunch of guests that I saw wearing Dream t-shirts around WDW, and they all seemed to really enjoy it! One kid talked of nothing else but the Aquaduck, it was so cute!

I cannot wait for the cruise, I'm getting really excited about it!

Hey guys, hope everyone is doing well. We had a small snowfall here yesterday, but it looks like that might be the last snowfall of the year here. At least that is what the weatherman says, but what does he know???

How many of you are going to do some time in the parks before the cruise? It looks like we are going to stay at the Carribean Beach Resort prior to the cruise. Savannah has a birthday that week, so we will be heading down early for that.
