Yes Grady's mommy from ebay. I e-mailed her and asked if she would make one with the fabric I had bought Pirate themed. She did a great job.

Hey everyone! Who watched the Dream's christening this morning? So good!! And it got me super excited for the cruise, a little more than 5 months!!!

I keep forgetting to check this thread, but I've had a busy few months... ending my CP, apartment hunting, then finally choosing an apartment and moving completely Orlando takes time, all while working the crazy hectic hours of a CP during Christmas in Disney, haha

I know my family booked flights, although I have no idea how much/exactly when since I'll be here already, but I know they are coming in on the 23rd and staying at the Caribbean Beach and doing Disney beforehand (visiting me at work no doubt, lol).

Anywho, thats my little update! I need to make a trip down to the Port to see the Dream sometime soon, and when I do, I'll definitely post some pictures!

We watched it (like moths drawn to the flame). Loved it! All ships have christening ceremonies, but when it’s Disney’s ship, you get a “Broadway Style” extravaganza and national coverage (of course it helps to own your own network as well).

I learned something today that I wish I would have learned earlier and that is that FE don't have to be home made

True, but then again there is no requirement on exactly what an F/E should look like either. I’ve see F/Es that were little more then a small tote-bag on a ribbon, and I’ve seen amazing contrivances closer akin to textile art. You’re only limited by your imagination. Now in my household, there is absolutely no one skilled with a needle and thread (or a sewing machine for that matter), so we came up with you own “no-sew” solution to the problem.

This was made out of three small canvas bags, a Disney themed bandana (both purchased at Michaels) and a length of chain from an old light fixture (dug up out of the basement). We cut images out of the bandana, glued them to foam-core for stability, trimmed those pieces and then glued them to the bags and trimmed the edges of the foam-core with simple cotton string. Attached the bags to each other with a few links of the lamp chain and...

Hay folks!
Someone was able to make a video recording on board the Dream when they were running though a demo of the various tunes they are using for the horn on the new ship. I was able to pull it off the web, separate the audio and divide it up into individual MP3 files. Y’all can download them through the links below for use on cell phones or what ever else strikes you fancy.

I have booked flights and did it the day before Delta raised their rates Got a great price, I think I am still planning on the FE and think I can get everything into the 2 bags, thanks to everone's help.

I am a teacher and we have been having Finals, so I have been soo busy. I hope soon to have some time to relax and get back to planning for the cruise

I think the easiest way to send a PM is:

Hello all the votes are in and this lanyard is the winner. So far we have had 3 FE families respond that would like to help with payment as a FE gifts.
We also had 2 families who are not doing the FE respond and they want to buy lanyards. And have ordered at least 22 of them.
With all the FE families counted so far we would need 90 lanyards. The minimum order is 100 lanyards.

I have PM other families not currently on the FE list to ask them if they are interested in buying lanyards, waiting for more responses. I think the deadline/cut off date should be by April 1st. So I would have time to collect payment and process the order. My daughter and I are willing to help with printing the logo we pick onto card stock and making sure they arrive onto the ship.

CSWAN1 are you willing to help with this part since we live close together we can meet and get them ready.

We think that they will be $2.75 each so if you want to have one made for yourself and any travel partners that's how it'll go. In terms of helping make these up, not really sure how that can work. We live near CSwan1 so we thought we might get together to print name badges and put them in lanyards, etc. *scratches head* PM me if you're really interested in the helping part and I'll see what we can do.

I tried to add a 4th person to our stateroom tonight & was told by the rep that the ship had reached booking capacity. Even though our room holds 5 & we only have 3 people booked in it, I can't add a 4th. Now, I understand about reaching capacity-- but then how come I could make a new reservation for this sailing if it is at capacity? Doesn't seem right...
