We're considering going to Universal on June 25-27. Considering the crowds that time of year, is it necessary to stay onsite in order to get the Front of the Line access, or would I be OK if I stayed offsite and saved some money on the hotel?

Our kids are 3, 6 and 9 and our main interest is seeing Harry Potter.

Thanks for your help.

Yes! You get into WWHOP an hour early when you stay onsite. It's worth the extra money!!

Book one night onsite and it will give you 2 days of express and early entry. Then get a 2 park pass and enjoy yourself, it's a vacation, no stress this way. :thumbsup2

I agree and wish we could this year but tight budget will keep us offsite but we will not have our DS's with us :thumbsup2

Yes, it's very much worth it. Staying onsite adds a lot to the Universal experience. I agree with the pp though, as long as you don't mind moving on the second day, you could stay one night at a UN property and get 2 days worth of express pass.
