June 25, 2012 - WONDERful 7 night Alaskan cruise

Hi everyone! We'll be joining all of you on this cruise. We were on the August 23rd DCL Alaskan this summer so if anyone has any questions, I'd be happy to try and answer them!

We are from Minnesota. This will be our 8th DCL cruise.

We loved our Alaskan cruise. Even my kids!! The thing for me that stood out was just the sheer beauty. It's breathtaking. Tracy Arm is awe inspiring.

Our weather in August wasn't too bad. It rained lightly in all three ports, but it didn't really damper our enjoyment at all. I'm hoping for even better weather in June though!

I'm getting excited for our quick getaway to WDW at the end of the month. BWV is my favorite resort. We love the proximity to Epcot. Are you DVC members?

We are not DVC members. But I've stayed at DVC properties many times. The last couple of times, we've rented points which worked out great.

Did you do any excursions? Book through DCL or own your own? I'm thinking about doing an ABD add-on but they haven't decided if they will offer them next year.

Hey everyone... just back from a 4 night cruise on the Dream... Amazing ship with lots of new stuff....but I have to admit I still like the Magic and Wonder. Still excited about Alaska... can't wait to meet everyone.

My daughter is 12 and is looking for pen pals her age that are going on the cruise. If you have a girl her age, send me a PM and lets get them hooked up.

We did this on the Med cruise last summer and she was chatting with 5 girls 6 months prior to the cruise. They all met the first day of the cruise and they were connected at the hip all cruise long.

Also since I'm fully commited to this cruise now I'm willing to take charge of the fish extender list... so send me your name if your interested.

Lastly we did tee shirts for the Med cruise... I created a cruise logo and then emailed it to everyone. They then printed the logo on iron on and made tees which we all wore the first day and met on the ship as a group. Let me know if your all interested in that also.

We leave for SSR tomorrow thru Wed, then four days on the DReam!!! I can't wait. We have been on the Wonder and the Magic, but never the Dream. I am ready for a vacation.

Hello all! We will also be on this cruise! We are booking using our points and our on board discount from just getting off the Magic for Thanksgiving. We did a B2B on the Dream in March and loved the ship but I like the smaller crowds of the Magic and Wonder. You just can't go wrong with any of the Disney ships. The Alaska cruise will be our 9th Disney cruise (our 10th is already booked on the Fantasy for New Year's.) It's also going to be our girls first trip out West. We plan to stay in Seattle 2 days before the trip to adjust to the time change and maybe one day on the back side.

I love that you are a creative person and can make logos! I've used the DisSign boards and requested stuff in the past. If you want to start working on a logo for this cruise, that would be great! Thanks again!

DH has gone to Seattle a few times for business so he already has a list of where we need to go. I told him as long as I get to pay homage to the home of my caffeine addiction, Starbucks, I'm fine with anything (other than going to the top of the space needle.)

I just came across www.shoretrips.com they do excursions in all the ports we travel to. Seems to be a good company with costs less then the Disney rate.

We are thinking about Dog Sledding, Glaicer Walk and Gold Rush gold mining tour.
