June 23rd 2012 - Commandeering the Disney Fantasy - Pirates back in the Caribbean

OK. I've never been there, but I think that's my favorite Margaritaville ever!

Wait until we get to Cozumel. The Margartiville there has deck and a water trampoline.

Good morning fellow cruisers. Another week has gone by.
We now have only

weeks to go to the Fantasy. :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Just dropping in to catch up. Surgery this summer put me so far behind but now that I'm almost back to myself I can get back to what's important. Can't get too far behind, might miss something. We had a great trip (double dip) on the Dream and five days in WDW. Keeping up with the whole crew gets worse each year. The grandkids loved the Dream and the AquaDuck. They still don't know about this cruise yet. All will be revealed during a Christmas morning scavenger hunt.

They have a new policy on DCL booking a placeholder date. It keeps your deposit really low. They book the cheapest cruise and only put one person on the reservation. It guarantees your 10% off of prevailing and OBC. Our whole crew booked a placeholder and then Dave and I booked the 10/7/12 Pacific itinerary. He's never been to SFO or San Diego and it's been 40+ years for me. It was the cheapest DCL cruise I've ever booked. With the overnight in SFO it was perfect. Having all these booked made it easier to get off the Dream. Now all we have to do is pay for them. Dave is never going to retire at this rate.

Better get back to unpacking and the mountain of laundry. Hope everyone is having a great summer.

My personal opinion is that they should have put the adult only pool where the new teen area is. It's the adults who pay for the cruises, they're the ones who deserve an area out of the way.

The problem is you kick the teens out then they are everywhere else on the ship. I have a 15 year old that curses all the time. The teens need to be away from normal people.

Also a note: I pay for the cruise but I only take cruises because of my teen. It is a place for me to relax and my son can still have a great time.

I'm ready to go now!!!

I checked out DCL's site today. No change in the short port times. (Hey a guy can dream, can't he? )

Also, no listing at all yet for Costa Maya excursions. Don't they realize we can start booking them in like 6 months?

Our teens never stayed in the teen club anyway. They'd go the first day, meet some kids they liked, and then wander the ship anyway.:sad2:
