June 23rd 2012 - Commandeering the Disney Fantasy - Pirates back in the Caribbean

A question for any DVC'ers out there. My SIL is looking to join us and wanted to know how many points this cruise would cost. I am not DVC and do not how to look this up. It would be 2A2C for a catg 5. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :worship:

cat 5 240-261 per adult
child 13 & up 160
6-12 152
3-5 150
2 and under 89

You can use points for one member of the party and cash for the others. There was some talk that the DVC member cash prices are very good compared to what they are on DCL since they were negotiated when the cruises for 2012 were released.

Thanks much for the quick response. :worship: I here what you are saying about the lower prices. We booked day 1 and got 2A2C including transfers for a catg 5c for $5,200. Now the cash price is $7,400. :scared1::scared1:

Your welcome, glad I could help:)

Dakota likes ripsticks too, and he is a big call of Duty black ops fan. I tried to get Dakota to go to the kids room his first day, but he was too afraid to then. He never even went. This time Im MAKING him go. He needs to meet people to hang out with. My husband and I want to have some alone time this trip, and the kids are definitely old enough now.

:thumbsup2

So, Tom. You're our *Dancing, Informal Leader*? :rotfl::rotfl:

So I was playing around with the new and old DCL sailings, and it was so painful to discover that the cruise from Spain to Port Canaveral later this year is actually $200 cheaper in an equal cabin from our cruise. Sadly, it would cost the same price as the cruise to fly over there to Spain. :) Not to mention that I can't take my girl out of school for two weeks!

Anyone book any of the new cruises? I am surprised that the trip to Hawaii sold out, if truth be told, since that is in the middle of school!

I know Hawaii *sold out* the first day BUT, when I checked earlier this week there were alot of cabins available......

I haven't booked one of the niw ones...yet. :) But, I probably will in the next month or so. Right now I'm busy trying to figure out a trip for this Fall.
DH tells me last night that he wants to do a 7nt cruise and a few nights in WDW this Fall. So.....I'm busy trying to work that out! LOL!

Our 20yr dd is NOT happy about that trip since she won't be able to take off of school and go with us. :)

This past Oct. her daddy pretty muched forced her to take a wk off of school to come with us to WDW. ;) He told *It's just college and this is DISNEY.* :rotfl2: I told him that he is the only Father trying to come up with ways for his child to miss classes. lol.

Well the good news is that more than likely we will be able to travel again with the Pirates. The bad news is we had to cancel our cruise on the Dream in August. My mom fell a few weeks again and fractured her back. She is OK but will be in rehab for quite some time and I just didn't feel good about taking a cruise. So I emailed our travel agent to see if she could move it to this cruise. I haven't heard back yet, but on the website there are still cabins available. So it will be good to sail with all of you again. The Dream cruise was supposed to be for our anniversary, but this cruise will be on my 60th birthday!!:cool1:

I guess now I will have to pay more attention to this thread. I would glance through it once in a while to see what was going on, but it made me sad that I couldn't join you.

I am :banana: about you & Brett cruising with us BUT, I am very sorry to hear about your mom! Prayers said for a quick recovery for your mom!

Good morning fellow cruisers. Another week has gone by.
We now have only

tharg-2-50-trans.gif

weeks to go to the Fantasy. :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Got our confirmation so we are in. Since we cancelled the Dream cruise we upgraded this cruise to a verandah room. We are moving up in the world.:lmao: We went from an inside cabin to a porthole to a verandah. We are second dining with the 7 PM show, so we are looking forward to sitting on our verandah after dinner...and I can sit out there in the morning while Brett is getting ready. It is nice to have something to look forward to while my Mom is recovering.

Hi-

We changed our room to 9530. We didn't want the awkwardness of coming upstairs in the middle of Cabanas. Hope we don't mind being forward, we always sail aft.

Kim
