Thanks everyone for your kind words!! We are very excited and lucky to be getting my dream wedding and a B2B cruise ,especially since we got engaged on the wonder this year :) Disney has always been speical to me and ever since we started cruising in 09' we are additicted and couldn't pass up the opportunity to do a B2B,it's acutally saving us loads of money-our fits choice was Hawaii and the new Disney resort- but after pricing it out not including food and fun things it was way over out budget!!, as we prob won't get to many more)!!:cool1:

I have a Planning Journal in my sig I'd love for you to follow along!! :goodvibes The more the merrier! Maybe if your in WDW before the cruise you can sneak on our wedding!! hahaha

Amanda, that's great that the plans have worked out so well for you. I clicked the link in your sig and even though I didn't have time to read through the whole report I did read the beginning and see your engagement story.

You guys remind me of my DH and I in some ways.... we were highschool sweethearts. :lovestruc We were together 8 years before we got married also (for us it was not to the exact day, but in the same month). My DH surprised me with a proposal at Disney's Polynesian Resort when we were on our first trip together to WDW.

We were college students at the time also and we had a long engagement to save for our wedding. We did have a Disney themed wedding but we did not have it at WDW as we couldn't afford that at the time even with advanced planning. We planned a WDW honeymoon though but just a few months before our wedding we found out that we were going to be surprised with our son Derek! If you can imagine that for pre-wedding stress! It was definitely not planned but at least all of our wedding plans were complete before we found out. We ended up changing our honeymoon as I was nervous about going on rides and we did a Vegas honeymoon instead.

We should have done the cruise but it was new then and I didn't know anything about it. This year we celebrated our 10th anniversary in March. (We became h.s. sweethearts in 1992, got engaged at Disney in May 1996, got married in March of 2000, and our two sons were born August 2000 and August 2003.)

We love all things Disney and it has always been a special part of our lives. My DH says we have created two Disney monsters in these two boys! I am glad they enjoy it so much too because it's something we can plan together and bond over. A lot of their other interests are more daddy activities but mommy is their Disney guru!

We have gone on 2 Disney short cruises on Wonder but like I said in another post we have never planned this far in advance or posted on the boards much. We have never known any of our fellow cruisers before hand or done FEs or anything so we are looking forward to all these new things! :)

THANKS!!! I LOVE your story!!!:love::love:

That's ok for having to change the honeymoon plans, as you got something better a wonderful baby!! pirate:

We've always posted on the boards before our cruises so it's just something I keep up with now:goodvibes DF thinks I'm crazy!!! :lmao:

Make sure to make magnets for your doors as we've done this also and love it!! It helps us to find our room also:rotfl:

The FE is great fun and I love it:love: That's why I asked as this seems like it might be a big group!! I've only done FE with about 12 people on the past cruises, so I'm excited to have a bigger group and hopefully since we have so much time we will get to know each other better.

I think we had around 125-150 in the FE exchange on the EBPC cruise in 2008 so there was something in our FE all the time. The kids loved it because every time we went back to the room there was something new.

What kind of things do you get in the FEs?

What kind of things do you get in the FEs?

Candy, pens, pencils , stickers, bookmarkers, highlighters, survivor kits, chapstick, small toys for the kids, notepads, magnets - as you can see just about anything that you want to give.

I think this is the one we are planning on. Going to make a booking tonight! We were back and forth between a couple of sailings but I think this is the winner!

It will be me (I will turn 35 onboard this sailing!), DH (38 by then), DS (12, almost 13 by then!), and DS (9, almost 10 by then!)

Wow! Typing in those ages really shocked me. I guess the kids are growing up quick! Of course this is 2 years out but still!

I am so excited to get to know everyone!!! We have done 2 DCL short cruises but we have never really gotten to know anyone on board really well. Both times we went with others and were focused on spending time with them but this time I think it's just going to be my family.

I would love to do FE's. I have read a ton about them but we have never done them. We will get started on making some when it is some cold winter day and we need something to look forward to! Any ideas/tips and info on this would be so welcome.

Anyone have kids that are in the same age range as my two DSs?
It would be great to have someone they could look forward to meeting onboard!

Also DH and I would love to meet some people while the kids are off in the clubs or doing activities. We live in upstate NY.... anyone else?

Sorry to ramble just excited about booking another Disney Cruise even if it is far off!

P.S. We are big pirates fans too!

Where in NY are you? We're in Kingston.

Grew up on Long Island but always had a home in the Catskills (my Mom lives there full-time now), and we are also in Vegas now! HUGE Pirates fan :goodvibes (as in Pirates of Carib....not the team....hope that's the right answer 'cause we love our Yankees :rolleyes1).

So excited this board is lively so fast! We've enjoyed the DIS on our past two cruises but they seemed to take awhile before everyone got warmed-up.

I grew up in Queens but now live in Kingston (and yes we love our Yankees too, even though they aren't doing to well right now :sad2: )

So it will be me (Lorri), DH Pete and and DS Joe (17 :scared1: at cruise time). Changed from a 9B to an 8C today - we're now in cabin 8010.

LOL! Some of this group never slows down. :rotfl:

I was on the last cruise the Captain led, and we hit part 10 on the meet thread before the cruise even started!

I think we had around 125-150 in the FE exchange on the EBPC cruise in 2008 so there was something in our FE all the time. The kids loved it because every time we went back to the room there was something new.

On the WBTA, because of the luggage limits of getting things to Spain, we broke the FE exchange into 5 or 6 parts with 14-15 people in each group. We were in 2 groups, and I decided to give something to almost every family with kids, so I ended up giving out 50 gifts on that cruise.

WOW!!:scared1: That must have been soo fun!!!:goodvibes
