June 22 Magic (Western)

Hi everyone, saw that the June 8th cruisers received their documents. It won't be long and we will all be getting our documents. Make sure to post to this thread as soon as you get your documents!!! Hope all is well with the June 22 Cruisers!!!

By the way, my son (17 on June 22) says if any teens going on the June 22 cruise that wants to email him, drop him an email at (btplaya6@twcny.rr.com) He has been talking to some of you, but would like to get to know any other teens.

The countdown clock shows 52 days!!! Plans should be in full swing, excitement building. Isn't this fun?

Have a great day!

Howard

52 days, I can't believe it. It won't be long, we will all be sipping a cool caribbean drink sitting by the adult pool and soaking up the sun!!!:smooth:

I can't believe it. Only 52 more days. It seems like only yesterday that our countdown calender in our kitchen said 300 days! We are all getting so excited. My grandmother is the most excited out of all of us. This is her first cruise. I have a question, is anyone doing anything like wearing a certain color ribbon or some thing so that we can notice each other. I am just wondering. If not thats ok, just on my last cruise we did that and I met a lot of nice people. We'll be counting down the days!!!

~Nicole~

Yes, ribbons lime green. There are quite a few of us that have emailed back and forth. Several families are staying at Radisson the night before. We are going to try to meet at pool. If not we will need to pick a place and time onboard to meet everyone.

Ok Lime Green Ribbons. I will be sure to find one to wear. We are not staying at the Radisson because we are traveling to orlando by Disney's airfare and do not have to stay overnight. please tell me when and where everyone is planning to meet so I can meet everyone as well. Counting down the days!

~Nicole~

:bounce:

The plan is to wear a lime green ribbon for our group. With any luck, I'll be able to find one before the ship sets sail. :smooth:

On board, the plan is Deck 10.

Looking forward to meeting you and your family!

Ok the plan sounds good! Now that I'm going to meet some people on the ship, I'm REALLY excited!

~Nicole~

We have the whole green ribbon thing too. That is how we spotted each other last 2 cruises. I put the castaway cay mickey tack pin through the green ribbon. Ours is actually regular greed as I could not find lime green. Anyway, I will have the ribbon on and the rest of the crew will tag along!! We will all meet at the Radisson Pool at some point on 6/21 and the rest of us can all meet up on Deck 10 overlooking the Goofy Pool where the sailaway party is. We need to figure out which side the port side (left side) or the starboard side (right side) looking forward on the ship. I remember we met starboard side last year. So we can figure that out too. Green ribbons all the way!!!:bounce:

Hi, everyone!! We did the lime green ribbons last year too, although maybe they weren't truly "lime". Anyway, I bought a whole roll of ribbon and a package of tiny safety pins. If anyone needs lime green ribbon, I will be glad to mail you some. Just email me at keenercam@aol.com
So, what do you guys think of my new countdown timer? I know it is keeping me psyched!
BTW, did I tell you all that I have a list of drinks we all need to try? Yeah, rum runners, bahama mamas, midori coladas, margaritas (KW), tortuga rum and coke, konk coolers on CC, and something with tequila in cozumel. can anyone suggest a good tequila drink (I don't want to do a shooter).

I have no clue which side is which so you'll have to let me know. rcdisneyfam, please tell Rhiana to e-mail me soon!Counting down the days!

~Nicole~

As the ship is going out to sea, looking forward the right side is the stareboard side and the left is the port. Remember left has 4 letters and so does port and right and starboard have more than 4 letters makes it easy to remember. Anyway, looking forward to those drinks with you Cam and Howard and everyone else on the June 22nd ship. I wish those documents would come so we can have our last Caribbean Party before the cruise!!! Keep in touch and see everyone before we know it!!!

Drinks are sounding good already. How about a Tequila Sunrise?
Those go down pretty easy. Had a Bahama Mama last time we were in Orlando, good also. Looking forward to reading posts from inaguaral cruisers. Might help us make some decisions on what we want to do or pass up. Anyone buy vanilla in Mexico? It is supposed to be the best to cook with.

We'll be watching for the green ribbons.

I can't seem to stay away from these boards. I need to be sleeping and I am still here. I can't wait to see who posted to our June 22nd thread and then I get involved with the other questions. What is going to happen when the people going on the Western before us start posting trip reports. I'll never sleep. I am getting so excited.

Hey guys, how do you like my count down to June 21st the day we leave and also found some clip art and added that too!!! Now we're ready to sail!!!

Alas!

It appears that the Radisson is full on the night of the 21st!

Woe is us! (Woe is we?):)

Does anyone have any other suggestions nearby?

I had it all planned out to turn in the Avis, take the Radisson shuttle, party with you guys at the pool...silly me for thinking that 6 weeks would be early enough to get a reservation!

Just a suggestion to any one who cannot stay at the Raddison. Disney's Vero Beach is beautiful and very quite! We will be there from the 19th and then it's just less than 1 hour ride to Port Canaveral! We did the same thing last year and knew it was a keeper. It's a large place, they may have the rooms available!

KeenerHo ~ what's the countdown to your b-day? Maybe we can get a gathering started and try out some of the rum and tequilla drinks mentioned on the boards. I myself like any margarita, so I know I'll be in heaven! :)

Hey, everyone! Great to see you all here. Should be getting ready for work, but I, like Roberta, am addicted. I like the post about the 10 step program, but I guess it only matters if you want to be cured!
TennDVC--We bought two bottles of vanilla in cozumel at that great souvenir shop we've been telling everyone about. It was also a great place to buy kaluha. The vanilla is amazing. You can really taste the difference. YUMMY!!!
Roberta--I can't wait for the documents to arrive. I am thinking the next week or ten days based on who has been getting theirs. Howard and I will have to have a drink to celebrate, though we'll miss all of you.
For everyone that wants ribbon, I will mail it tomorrow! If anyone else wants green ribbon (don't worry too much if it isn't "lime" enough--DISers are really the only ones wearing green at all), just email me and I will send it all out as soon as possible.
Have a wonderful Disney kind of day!!
Cam
BTW, Howard's birthday is on Key West day, 6/23. I cannot imagine a better way to spend the day, unless it were grand cayman, cozumel, castaway cay, st. thomas, st. marten, the MAGIC, . . . . well, you get my drift!

I too am addicted. I check these every morning. I will also have a birthday while on board 6/25. I am nor saying how many. The years are flying by too fast. I could use a green ribbon. I will email you my address. Thanks ahead of time.

Counting the days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
