June 22, 2010 - 5-night to Key West

I can to believe that we will be on the boat 2 weeks from today. I think we are going to start packing this weekend. Have 2 of my FE done, but trying to figure out what I want to do for the year of them.

For our DD the countdown is to one row....she is so excited.

cant wait to meet you all. jilljill u r so lucky to have a month to njoy in florida!! i am never able to take that much vacation in a row. in 2 weeks we'll all b sailing the seas. 90% finished with my fe gifts just gotta label them with nice messages. must start packing tonight.. in order to get this vacation time i crammed a bunch of work shifts in so barely any free time left before the trip. I will prob b so tired by the time i vacation that ill sleep through the entire cruise.

Still no docs for us , my friend keeps looking out for them. We did our one's for the Baltics cruise next month tho.

I did pick up $1's for tips yesterday and still have to print out my online docs.

We got our wrist bands today. They are great -- we love them. Can't wait to put them on the day that we board the Wonder. Thanks so much to Laura and Mike for having them made and sent out to us!! We'll be looking for the bands as we move around the ship during our cruise. I think they will be especially nice for the kids. We're really looking forward to the group meet!

OK -- I have just gone thru all the posts for this group, and I can't find the one that has more specific info on exactly where we are meeting on the day we board. I know it's at 3 pm and it's at the Goofy pool, but someone posted where at the Goofy pool we are supposed to meet (like port or starboard, for example, not that I ever remember what those mean). Can someone please give the exact location at the pool. I will print it out and put in my cruise folder which I was going to do now, but I can't find it. Thanks.

We got our bracelets too!

My memory of the meetup was 3pm at Mickey [GOOFY pool - oops! Thanks Laura] pool but I can't remember more than that. I guess I just figure I'll look for all the neon green bracelets!!

Really, the pool isn't that big; aside from people wandering around it should be fairly easy to spot everyone, right (again, as long as the bracelets are in view)? We'll have them on in the terminal and we plan to be there pretty close to 10am, so please say hello if you see a green bracelet (and we'll do the same)!

Hi everyone, so glad to hear the bracelets are starting to arrive!
The meeting place we decided on was 3:00 the GOOFY pool (mid-ship) on the starboard side (toward the right looking at the front of the ship). We've had meets there before and as someone said the pools aren't so large you wouldn't find one another .
I can't believe we're getting so close!

my ds saw your pics and flipped out. he's so excited now. last week i told him that we chose a cruise thats on sale cuz we got a good rate and showed him a pic of the pirates of the carribean boat at castaway cay and told him that would be our cruise boat. i was just messing with him but he thought i was serious and got all depressed. these pictures sure cheered him up.

Got our bracelets today! I love them! I will start packing this weekend if not sooner! I cannot believe the wait is almost over! This is the vacation I have been waiting for! I am still trying to make my FE and figure some gifts out. I hope to be finished this weekend...I really hope I can make my actual FE! I have material and dow rods but I am terrified lol!

Did you show him the front or back of the POTC boat? If you showed him the open back that would have made him even more bummed.

Our November meet n greet, starboard (toward terminal) at 3pm at the Goofy pool! Laura is middle row far left. I'm sitting on the left enjoying a beer with my new friend Mark (Gulf War vet ). DS Michael wasn't in pic. Notice the bracelets? The one's I ordered this time were darker which was a disappointment but the ones we had on in this picture didn't have any writing on them. We've stayed in touch with most of these cruisers!

Is it me, or do you guys look a little chilly in that pic? Was it a winter cruise (does it get that cold on a Carribean cruise?)

Of course, I got to experience SLEET first hand in WDW this past January (who'd a thunk?)

Yes, it was chilly that day. It was in November. The sailaway was pretty nippy but it warmed up as we headed south It was a bounceback cruise for us so only 3 days but we had a great time!
On our group name, doesn't matter to us, we just thought that would be good for the bracelets.

what can my husband wear for formal night? dont want to pack his suit cuz im picky bout dry cleaners. lots of places burn suits which leaves them shiny. how bout a dress shirt and nice gray pants??? hoping to leave his jackets at home. found a cute pirate shirt for $5 at children's place this week for the baby so that will b his outfit for pirate night.also got my baby his first pair of crocs for the beach. cont focus at work these days my brain keeps thinking "cruise, cruise, cruise"
